Not going to call the number, this is a scam.

I just got a missed call from this number while I was driving, but it only rang for a couple 1 ring then stopped. I think this is probably a scam to get you to call a premium rate number back, Sierra Leone is definately on my list with Nigeria

Got call from 23222270687 but could not answer in time - which was probably a good thing - only rang for short duration obviously intending to provoke me into calling back but decided to google it and ended up here :)

I also had a missed call from this number a couple of hours ago- again it rang for less than a second- luckily I don't all strange numbers back!

Received an text on Sat 18/11/08 from a uk vodafone number +447765880130 saying !!URGENT!! Parcel awaiting International Parcel Deliveries ring +23222270687 for delivery tomorrow. On 18/11/08 got a missed call from the +23  number.

I got the same call to a UK phone they have called 3 times now - really short time and then stopped showed up as a missed call on my mobile which I rarely use.

No called ID or message, I looked it up and it took me here !!

all the numbers used are international premium rate (revenue share) numbers.  The regulators (UK/Austrian) know or could easily find out who is behind this fraud.

It's also interesting to note that Maxtis also supplies Sierra Leone numbers for use to bill for premium rate 'services'.

I got call from +2399882101 just for 2-3 seconds. No body was speaking & cut after 2-3 seconds.

Got a call from +2348181018806 rang 1 time then stopped. I didn't call back because I think this is tied to a scam. True or not?

Thanks for sharing the info guys. I just received a call from this number +2348184400935 and it only rang for 3 seconds more or less. Then I just decided to google where it came from. I'm from South Africa and I know something is fishy about such long numbers 'cause we only have 10 digits here. Thanks everyone.
