234-567-8900 Caller hangs up when I answer. I'm a nurse on call for night shift.  Caller wakes me up.  I have to keep my phone turned on because I'm registered to help if a US disaster occurs.  It makes me mad when I have to care for patient's feeling so tired.  I work at a local hospital in St. Louis, MO.

I want justice brought to these harassing crooks...some one needs to find them pull vigilante justice on these arrogant pricks!!! Please post any information on the where abouts or identity of these notorious scammers on this page, on your local cities page, or any where just get the word out these people have to be stopped before i loose my sanity!!

Just got a call from the same number. Knew it was a scam just by looking at the number. Had something to say about lowering credit card interest rate, but didn't even specify a credit card company, like Visa or Mastercard.

We've been getting these "credit card savings" robocalls off and on for months but this really time takes the cake!  One call came this early morning on one of our lines at 6:11 AM and 6:15 AM to the other!!!  IT WOKE US UP and PISSED US RIGHT OFF!!! Even though these calls are coming from the U.S. into Canada something should be done by some level of the Canadian governments federal, provincial, or local police.  We are going to start with our MP and our phone provider Shaw Cable as well.  Thanks to all the commentors above who have done the digging to reveal Mutual Consolidated Services, JPM Accelerated Financial, Bob F Bobbers, First Comm Lic OH, and Sprint Communications Company LP as the slime buckets they are.  May their names live forever in infamy! And thanks also for all the great strategies to confound these predatory heathens. Happy revenge to all of you who are equally annoyed and inconvenienced!

Automated voice was Rachel. I pressed 1. I spoke with Jeff who said he works for Account Services. I asked for his company name and phone number. He said I was holding up company business because other people needed his services.

It seems anybody now has the capability to spoof numbers. This means you can have your number show up as whatever you want, be it 123-456-7890, or 101-555-6969, or any combination you choose. Anyone with an iPhone can do this. It has been around for a while now. Welcome to 2009 people, you have no hope at all of tracing those calls now. Call me at 000-000-0000 to discuss.

I have received many of calls from this number and also from another number 000-000-0000 which also appears on my caller ID.  My dad has researched the number and found out that it is a company called Mutual Consolidated Services. He has a very effective way of getting these calls to stop.
    1. He calls their 800 # 877-891-1348 or 800-943-3250.
    2. He asks for Chris the compliance officer.
    3. He tells Chris "Do not call my number! If you do, this is what will happen, for every one of your calls, I will call 100 times and bother you because you are bothering me!"
This is not illegal to do. It ties up their lines and it's makes him VERY angry! If he says he's going to call 18 division Police department, tell him he's full of it, cause there is no such thing!
And if you want to throw something else in there to make him know you're serious. Tell him Mike said HI!

This is a very effective way to deal with this company because my dad is not receiving anymore calls!

    Good Luck and have fun!!!

Very likely the 234-567-8900 phone number is FAKED. I would recommend not bothering anyone who actually has it. My phone company tells me that once people started using "Voice Over IP" (VOIP) for their phone calls, they can no longer 'trace' the calls back to a real number, and the 'caller id' can be easily changed to whatever the caller wants. Because it's VOIP, the only thing that could be done, as I understand it, is if someone GETS CALLS FREQUENTLY then you can ask your phone company to put a 'logger' on your line for a day, and it will capture their 'origin' on the *next* call, and then your phone co can determine through what 'gateway' VOIP company these calls are coming, and contact that company to see if they can somehow 'capture' and stop these calls. But by now I imagine the phishers/criminals have found ways to do this all from a hacked computer, like the spammers do, so I'm not sure that even this would stop them.

In some ways, this bogus number is a 'step forward'. Obviously, so many people are blocking calls with *no* ID (the typical signature of a VOIP call) that now the scammers are using fake ones. Well, as long as they consistently use the same number, at least you can use the ordinary *60 call blocking on your line to stop the calls.... (sigh)

Recvd 2 calls this week; I pushed 1 and call was answered by a chap advising it was CMS.  When questioned who/why he was calling he immediately hung up.  Upon calling the number back, I was informed that the number was not in service.

I pushed one and talked with a woman in Florida.  She subscribes to a dialing machine service for $100/mo.  When someone pushes one, the dialing machine service switches the call to her, and she tries to sell you "cost of credit reduction services".  This is targeted to Canadians

This kind of cross border calling isn't prohibited by the DNC lists in either country.  You can't register a Canadian number in the US or vice versa.
