I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and I got this call just today actually. I thought the number looked werid, but I didn't answer the phone before my answering machine picked it up...it actually recorded the automated person saying that they could lower my credit card rates and if I wanted to, then press 1, but if I wanted to be removed press 3. Well I just got my phone number less than 2 weeks ago, pay for it to be unpublished, and the same freakin day that I got the number I started getting calls from these people. They did use a different number registered in Nevada, and I did answer their call one day and talked pressed one to talk to a live person and repeatedly asked her to remove me from the list, and told her that if I recieved another call from her company I would be taking legal action against her company. She said that it would take 72 hours to remove my number from the list, but now less than a week later I get another call, but using a fake number....what will it come to next. People can't even have privacy in their own homes anymore. People should just pull a Sinfeld and ask for their number to call them at home....hahaha

yeh theses ppl called me and i reported it to the correct place! they will get caught soon enough. just a lil more time and BUSTED!!!!!!!! Tried to call back....yeh right, looked up on www.whitepages.com, registered for a Bob F Bobber in Rapid Springs, MI as well.

this number is always calling me!! i don't pick up only because i don't think there is such f***ing thing as a number that's in numerical order. the number COMES OUT OF OHIO so if that helps any. the area code is 234. i wish they would stop the scamming stupid phone call!!!

I just got a call from this number that I didn't pick up.  I got a voicemail, but it was a recorded political message from one of our local candidates.  ???

I live in London, Ontario Canada and I get this number calling me at least once a day, every day.  Sometimes they leave an automated voicemail, and sometimes they just hang up.

Marketing Calls regarding upcoming election and the City of Goleta. Once a day and they are so bold as to leave a message.

Got a call from this number today, actually left a message and turned out to be a political ad/message for a local candidate.  Kind of wierd, I wonder if this is owned by some type of phone service that people can buy.

The recording said that it was my annual reminder to order my diabetic supplies.  I'm not a diabetic, nor did I opt in for an annual reminder.  Not to mention, they called my work #!!  "Press one to place and order, press 3 to cancel the annual reminder."  I pressed 3 and the recording said I had been put on their 'do not call' list.

I got this call last night and they left no message.
I am tired of this. I THOUGHT I was on the national do not call list.
Here is the question: when they call and someone wants to know more about their service, why do they hang up?

I am wondering if it is an out of country call that will charge a huge amount on your phone bill if you answer. Have any of you checked the phone bill? My daughter got this call, didn't answer but asked if she could call it back. She is 9 and thought it would be a fun # to call. I said no but I always wonder about those #'s that cost when you answer.

Calls and does not leave message. Called the number back, nothing but a busy signal.

I've received four calls from this number in less than an hour.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

yes me too same number. twice. did anyone buy anthing online recently ? i wonder did my info get leaked or something.   my friend  at a local shop recived calls of a similar nature the same day as i did. They phone and you hear a beeping tone and they never answer.

I wonder if the scam now is to clone real people's numbers or just delisted but listed in the phone book numbers

I am getting calls from a "US" AutoDialer twice a Day ...234-567-8900

Google is full of people complaining about these people... Can't you shut them down. I can't register with your No Call List and Canada's no call list is of no use with an American company.

Cute trick on their part. Will that work both ways? Can we call you with impunity?

So I'm screwed.

Well actually I have a solution, a box that blocks, all incoming calls that have caller ID turned off and programming in the same box so that it blocks numbers that my caller id recognizes as problematic.

I'm just cheap! But that seems like my only solution.

I just received a call from 234-567-8900.  I did not pick up.  A msg was left. A political msg in Male voice asking me to Vote for Mike Longerin (sp) ?  There is no one in my voters pamphlet with that name running for anything...weird

I received a call also this morning, I picked the call up and no answer, when I called back I got the same reply as some of you got.. Call can not be completed at this time, call back later..
How do this people get our phone numbers when we are listed with the "DO NOT CALL" LIST...Anyone have any advise.. I am getting pretty sick of this.
