Got a call from 234-567-8900 on may 28, 09 in the morning. Told my wife that they are calling from homeland security and will call back to talk to me.

I just got a couple calls from 1-234-567-8969, no msg on the first call and I answered to a zero second call the second time.  is this the same theory, any guesses?

The person said it was the VA about my disability payments. I said some information that the real VA would have known was false. I knew it was a scam. I contacted the VA and let them know that someone was identifying themselves as the VA.

Call back was a false (number not connected) recording.

got a call from this # on my cellphone.  How incredible, to have such a unique number!  I did a search online and here I am.  How can this operation keep pestering and cold calling folks without being shutdown or shutoff by the phone company?  Dont respond or answer if you see this number.  Its a scam of some sort.

I just got a call from this number 234-567-8900 they called first left no message and then called back a few minutes later, the message was in a little girl's voice asking to vote yes on a proposition for Madison School District in Phoenix, AZ for the school to raise funds through bonds.

It is a non-profit organization reminding me to vote in the upcoming election. Unfortunately they are exempt from the Do Not Call List:-( Not much we can do besides, hang up on the Robo-calls.

I just has a call from these people and the caller ID left on my mobile read:

+1 (234) 567..... Salem OH (I am in the UK!)

To be honest I could hardly understand a word the female was saying as her English was so poor and broken! They claimed to be from a recruitment agency and they had seen my CV online and were calling to offer me a job with Doncaster MBC as a finance assistant. I told them that I didn't live anywhere near Doncaster so wasn't interested. They asked if they could email me details anyway and I said no, there was no point.


I thought I would Google the number to find out the name of the agency and here I am.. I gaven't read through all 22 pages of this forum so I don't know if anyone else has been offered employment by these idiots but it's made me rethink this whole "online CV" thing..

They are still calling!  From 234 567 8900  got one this afternoon.  Looked it up prior to answering amd I'm really glad I didn't bother!  Thanks to all you great people out there for posting!

A woman called and just said "Hello, how are you?" I asked who this is and she said she's with the office of Homeland Security. She wanted to know if I was the manager of my building. In the past I've received calls from people thinking that I'm a property manager. She asked if she could have the name of the property manager and I said no. She then hung up.

lol i did the exact same thing.... googling the number and finding that im not the only one getting it. some are saying the got a message, but i didnt get one... it says salem ohio for me. but this is my first call, im kind of confused how they could have gotten it bc im usually really careful but who i give my number to... ugh. these people need to get real jobs.

I keep getting calls from that # too and they are not leaving messages so I thought I'd google #. I'm gonna answer next time.

I sent it to voicemail and they didn't leave a message. I have no idea who or what its about.

I gothis call from the 234-567-8900 telling me that they were from windows and that my computer had windows go to the computer there was a problem and they would fix it. I was out of town and I also knew that the call was bogus. Microsoft is not going to call everyone that has windows. They knew my name and physical home address. Scam of some sort. I kept them talking until they hung up.

I got a call from this number several times in the past month. They are stating I am transmitting something from my home computer. Anytime I ask them something direct-they end the call.
