these fools call all hours of the day, on my CELL PHONE, while i'm at work, while i'm asleep, etc. i pick up & it's nothing but buzzing.

Got a call from this weird# this evening, and when I pressed 1, got connected to a lady, she asked me how much debt I have on my credit cards, and I lied $40k, and she was very excited to have caught a fish. Engaged her in talks, and finally asked her what Info she needs to get my debt reduced, and she was bold enough to say that she needs my C. Card account #s, but no CVS# etc. and at that stage, I just hung up.

Folks, first of all, business to business calls are perfectly legal. Business can join the do not call list, but it doesn't matter.

Don't waste your time trying to find these people. You'll just go nuts!

Call received at 10:04 am , message left on answering machine press 1 to lower your interest rate. Did not get a chance to talk to them. I think I will tell them the same thing that the above person told them....

I just got a call from 1-234-567-8900, which was the first time. They hung up on my voicemail. However, lately there has been a spate of calls from people wishing to discuss my credit card. I tell them I'm not interested in discussing such information over the phone with strangers, and the general response is being hung up on.

Having read the few last pages of this, though, it seems like it could be fun to play fishie with them for awhile, should they call back.

why am i getting calls from these people when I have put my telno on the no call list

Just got my fourth call today...I pressed the number to be removed from their list the last 3 times....this time I pressed 1 and as she started talking I interupted her and told her I had tried to get myself taken off their list 3 times in the last few months...could she please take me off their list.  She said after you yelling at me ..no.  I was in shock...I didn't even raise my voice...I was VERY polite. After my initial shock...I said...I didn't yell at you...she said nothing and hung up on me.
Next time they call...I am going to try and sign up to whatever credit card scam they are offering and then I will at least get the business name and be able to report them through the proper process.

me too at Toronto, ON Canada.  However, goes straight to vmsg. so they could try all they want they'll never get me on the line.

Do You get calls from 1-234-567-8900? Do they bother you? here is how to resolve your problem!?
I have received many of calls from this number and also from another number 000-000-0000 which also appears on my caller ID. My dad has researched the number and found out that it is a company called Mutual Consolidated Services. He has a very effective way of getting these calls to stop.
1. He calls their 800 # 877-891-1348 or 800-943-3250.
2. He asks for Chris the compliance officer.
3. He tells Chris "Do not call my number! If you do, this is what will happen, for every one of your calls, I will call 100 times and bother you because you are bothering me!"
This is not illegal to do. It ties up their lines and it's makes him VERY angry! If he says he's going to call 18 division Police department, tell him he's full of it, cause there is no such thing!
And if you want to throw something else in there to make him know you're serious. Tell him Mike said HI!

This is a very effective way to deal with this company because my dad is not receiving anymore calls!

I'm glad I missed this number and found this site. I also got 1613-627-4504 and 1-867-520-7631 the second number kept calling me and I kept sending it to "busy" and I am no where close to that area code nor do I know anyone from there after I looked up the area code it's from Jamaica. The ironic thing is I just switched numbers because some idiot keeps sending me text messages (SMS) and keeps calling me and now I'm getting these dumb scam number...

I just got this call and pushed 1 to speak to a rep.  I asked the man to take me off the call list and he said he would.  A step in the right direction I guess.

Got the same treatment...
I'm about fed up enough to go buy a small airhorn and start blasting it into the receiver any time I get one of these lowlifes calling.
That may get our number off their list in a big hurry!

I hit 1, talked with someone after calls every day for the last 3 months.  If they have so much time to waste my time I decide to ask for a date, I even offered a free dessert.  That got me threaten with a report me to the police?  Didn't they call me and they could have hung up?   I suppose that lowered my interest rate or maybe her's. :-)

Recorded voice asking me to act fast to lower my interest rate. The last time I  pressed 2 to disconnect the call, but this time I was curious to see who was making the call so pressed one.  A female operator came on the line and when I asked where she was calling from she hang up.
