This is a rediculous problem. I called Bell to see if they have any idea how to generally stop this. This number calls 4 times a day on both of my lines and at my (government) work number.

The idea that this type of thing is allowed to continue is ludicus. I'm sure that it costs Bell more than a million a week to handle all of the related calls, not only that but all of the wasted time across this country dealing with it, frusterated by it, swearing at it, etc., etc. ...

Bell said to call 866-580-3625, they will put the number on my own do not call list but that is only IF the number is real of course.

Nice thing was that the CRTC is going to be notified because I filed a 'voice' complaint at that (866) number, something EVERYONE should do!

Somebody called me from this number. They try to reach me many times. I called back today asking who they are and why they want to speak to me. The lady tols me that it's probably a mistake and I just have to ignore theses calls then she hung up.

Just did the dial 1 to talk to the rep thing,

    My first question was:
are you a scammer or are you related to my bank?

After trying to figure out if I'd called him a 'scummer' or a 'scammer', he started rolling off some bs about credit card interest rates.

I asked him if he knew what my credit card was, and who issued it to me. (this is something anybody who calls you in relation to your credit card should know)

he ignored my questions and kept talking over me until I screamed:

"Are you related to my bank?"

"well were not married to your bank." he said, and hung up.

It bothers me that they identify themselves as "cardholder services." If you're not the company that issued my credit card, what service can you possibly have to offer?

"scummer" was probably a better word.

Just got a call from this number.  Didn't pick up but did a search and found it here.  No message was left.  Really annoying since mine is an unpublished (that's questionable) cell phone number.

same thing here with that number and then a bunch of other #s calling my cell. A cell I rarely use. its pay as you go. i only use it to text friends and its rare. i think i'll be getting tons of calls from these telemarketers. i dont even pick up that cell if it rings, for one thing, it's on silent almost 24/7 and again, i only really text from it. hopefully, once i put it on the do not call list, it'll stop. but probably not.

"credit card services", calls about everyday with a robo-message. Finally, pressed 1 and talked to them. Told them to get lost and never call again. It obviously is some sort of cheap scam. Can someone arrest these guys please.
    -> I live in Montreal.

Have been getting calls from that number several times over the past few days.  Did not answer.  They leave a message saying this is my last chance to lower interest rates.  Wonder how they got my number.  Very annoying.

I also got a few calls over the past few weeks, I wasn't home though, so I didn't speak with anyone.
But got that voicemail that says it's my last chance to have my interest rates lower, yeah right!!!???
I tried calling the number numerous times to try to speak with someone, but always get a fast busy signal.
If anyone knows how to block their number or speak with someone to tell them to stop bothering me (us all), please put it on this web site, it would really be appreciated!!Thanks, I'm in Mercier, Montreal, South Shore

Just got a call from that number. Appeared on call display as unknown name, long distance. Looks to me like they're calling all area codes within Québec.

I have a speaker phone.... So.... I just pressed the speaker button and left the line hanging (on mute) for about 5 minutes without saying a word. No one came on the line, just a clicking sound. It isn't the first time I get these calls. If I refer myself to some unwanted e-mails I've received of the same nature (Lower interests rates), these calls come form the U.S.A.

A reminder to those of you on the Do Not Call List. The list applies to all (and only) CANADIAN marketing companies. The law does not apply outside canadian borders. For the moment, there is nothing we can do about it but requests that our phone numbers be removed from their calling list which they obviously don't do.

Seeing how this is a long distance call for them, how about making them pay for these calls. Just do like I've done, If you have call display, just pick up the phone without saying a word, put the phone down and leave it off the hook for a while and go make yourself a nice hot chocolate to savour the moment. I know it ties up your line, but they'll get the phone bill that goes with it, and this without screaming or getting aggravated.

Money is what they're after, we don't want to give them any, so let's make them spend their money for wasting our time.
