these cell phones are out of Texas, they sell the throw-away phones--no way of tracing them to a person (if you call them people).  the company says they will look into it - what can they do!!!  Idiots like this always trip up eventually - smart but not smart enough.

It only took 2 emails for me to figure out that Cristiano was a scam artist and once I saw this site, I knew more about him. I've had this happen several times before so I didn't get too sucked in. These guys are slippery so I think it would be difficult to nab them. The best we can do is spread the word on Facebook or any other networking site to alert women of this scam.

The emails that you are getting I received the same ones in 2011. His name is Emmanuel Eric and he will bleed you dry. Don't send him or anyone anymore money.

I bought it and he drained me.

the FBI is aware of him but you have to have been scammed in excess of 200 thousand dollars or it is not worth their while.

but he messed with the wrong [***] this time.

the sad stories he told me I believed at first. Then I realized what was going on.
but he sent me a wire to my bank and my bank messed up, so I am suing my bank and I will be filthy rich in a few months and I just dumped him yesterday.

I don't expect to hear from him ever again.

I am alone but I am not lonely.

beware of him. He will tell you that he is from Fresno California but he is really in Nigeria. Uses a phone number in England.

You are right about the Nigeria part. But it is not a 'he'. It is a 'they'. There's a team of these dudes and they work in shifts. The pictures are pirated off a social media site. Pay close attention to the emails you get. Some of them are using better grammar and punctuation. Some use none. The game has now morphed over into Facebook. I am currently being 'enticed' by a poor orphan who says she in a Senegalese refugee camp. Her murdered father left her a large inheritance but she needs my help to get it out of the bank in London. They don't even seem to realize that I am a woman with an obviously female name.  I have kept them jumping through hoops for about 6 weeks now with the promise that the money is coming....soon. I address each email to a different name and they even notice. If nothing else, my wasting their time may be saving the money of some duped mark. They are falling for their own scam. They are not immune to the promise of riches any more than we are immune to the promise of romance. I am also receiving scam letters supposedly about my PayPal account. They want me to log in and verify my personal info because my bank had questioned some transactions. I didn't have any transactions on those dates. This crap is becoming so common it is ridiculous. I got hit by 3 of these dudes on Match.com. That's more dates than I got. These guys live out of the country. Most of the emails come in what is the middle of the night here. Daytime there. The police and FBI can't do anything. What I absolutely can't believe is that anyone on the face of this earth gives these guys money. Seriously???? Don't give your money to anyone, ladies!!!!!!!!!

Scammers are now going through Facebook pages and sending emails to people's Facebook email address. Do not put your real email address on your Facebook page. I was contacted by Facebook stating they would no longer be forwarding inquiries to your Facebook email address to your real email address. This tells me that Facebook has been inundated with scammer contacts. They are working this like a full time job. Don't give money to anyone!!!!!!

Regarding the pirating of pictures used by the scammers from media sites, how can we locate the real people, or is like looking for a needle in a haystack.  Has anyone contacted Nev Shulman from the Cat Fishing show regarding this scam?  Any response would be appreciated.  Thanks

Well,  don't give up so soon. There're good people dating online. I'm one :-)

I was in contacted with this guy - same guy you ladies have - Mario Elber Lucas - Vanguard Fund Manager, etc. for 2 months. he asked me the same information as did others. But he didn't get a chance to ask me for money yet when I saw his name and photos on Scam.com. I wrote to him and say a few things. He didn't like it and said if I write to him again, he would hunt me down and harm me.

But the reason I wrote is for you girls and guys out there, don't be so discourages. I've met a very nice gentleman thru Match.com. He's a widower - semi-retired from a very famous company in California, moved to Maui, bought a big house worth several millions. We correspondence for a few months, he visited me on Oahu, and I visited him in Maui a few times. Four months ago, he decided to sell his home in Maui and bought a million dollars condo in Oahu. So, here you go... there're nice people out there. You just have to be careful and smart dating. We now live 5 minutes away from each other and can see each other as often as we both want.

    Good luck to you all...

A happy 71 years young lady in Hawaii.  :-)))
