Noticed you met a John Diaz on Match.com.  I had posted about a Shell Investment scammer.  But I was also contacted by John Diaz via a woman who said she was his secretary & he only liked my profile.  He was very persuasive & would not take "no" when I wouldn' t give out my phone #. Something just seemed off w/ the whole thing. Ladies, beware of a woman from the site that says she is contacting you for her "boss or uncle or Dad" & he doesn't want to go in the site. Be careful out there.

Is the John Diaz who contacted you from Reno Nevada and is a self-employed Civil Engineer?  John said he is in Spain on a contract to build some type of station and he did not have the money to pay for a special non-resident tax and asked me to help pay the $64,000 fee.  When I said I didn't have the money, no more contact.  John is wife is dead and he has a son in Florida attending college.  I am very suspicious of the ones who say their membership is/has run out and please contact them at their e-mail address.  Match.com has contacted me several times about renewing my membership, but no way.  Thanks for the information.

The FBI told me it was not worth their manpower under 200 thousand dollars but encouraged me to go to the FBI website and report internet fraud. Which I did and have not heard anything for two years

FYI:  The so-called Fund Manager scam continues.  There is a recent post on Male-Scammers.com referring to a Dennis Olsen, purportedly a Fund Manager for Citigroup Financial and also associated with Fidelity Investments International.  SOS, slightly different vital statistics and nationalities, but:  Hazel Eyes!!  Two of the photos described coincide with those of Jamie Abbadelli.

Thanks, Beth, for the information on the FBI's $200K threshold for investigation.  I, too, filed a report anyway.

I was also contacted by this organisation through "match.com" His MO was mikenco329 he went by the name Michael Benco Jose. Very attractive man, same letters as what I have read in different posts. But I had connections that were able to check airlines and custom entry points, this man NEVER traveled at anytime he had said he did in the US, UK or Italy. He never had a chance to ask me for money as I told him after he told me he would be traveling to Dubai that his deal was up....Ii also found another picture of him, one that he had not given me on match but under another name....reported it to Match but he is still showing as active on the site. this goes to tell me that Match.com is not doing their home work even after we report them. I dearly hope that these guys get caught..would love to see them get what they deserve!

I also reported Lucci Veratte to match.com and they did nothing.  When I checked he was still on the site, but different name and location.  Guess all we can do is continue to report out findings on this site and hope we can save some woman from sending money to these evil people.  Thanks for the update.

Yes, when I saw your post, he said he is John Diaz from Reno, NV. A Civil Engineer whose son is in Florida.  After being " burned" by the fake Shell Fund Mgr I was leary of this one. Thanks for posting. At least my instincts were right on with this one. They can be very convincing until you get to know their game. Awful thing to con hard working women out of their money with the promisa of love.

Thank you for letting me know.  I am starting to believe that when they say they were born outside the US, but brought here by the parents and have an accent, it's time to back off.  All the scammers that have contacted me all had unusual accents.  I am on date.com for one month just to test the water so to speak.  If nothing happens, then I'm off the on-line sites.  Not worth the money and the emotional drain.  Thanks again for sharing about John.

Wow....my scamer is Anthony Aldo and his mom funeral is today.  Ha..

    From; aldoanthony28 <aldoanthony28@yahoo.com>

    Subject: The Funeral

    My Darling,
I must confess that everything is going fine over here as planned. I have almost concluded the arrangement for the funeral tomorrow. I just met with the priest this morning to conclude the arrangement on how the
first and second reading will go and by whom. My aunt said that my mum said that
she should be buried this way and I am happy that all the arrangements are
    almost in place.

I must thank you for all your comforting emails this period.
I sincerely appreciate all your encouragement. With you, I have come to know
that I have one million people at my back. You are such a darling.   Before you
came into my life, I had heard of passion and love and seen it in movies; never
dreamed that kind of emotion would ever come to me.

I must confess that in some ways I feel inadequate. My mind is questioned; can I match your gentleness?
Can I give you feelings as warm and secure as the ones you have bestowed on me?
You have chosen to show me such strong passion combined with secure sweet
affection, that I can only hope with time you feel a glimpse of the same
    emotions from me.

I now know I am in a place I have never been before. I am .
in a place that is calm and serene, but exciting and exhilarating, all at the
same time. This place is neither a state of mind, nor just one of physical
being. It is a place where my soul soars. It is a place I share with you. It is
in you and you are the place. Thank you for allowing me entrance into the place.
I am in a place where, my mornings begin with you in my thoughts and my day end
with you in my mind. I am in a place where, when good things happen, my first
reaction is that “I am excited”, because I will get to share them with you. I am
in a place where, when bad things happen, I know that you will be there to
provide comfort and make the world right again with your simple, honest
spiritual presence and your encouraging,  supportive, caring email.

This is the place that I hold in my heart for you are precious beyond words. I am a
better man because you are mine. I am afraid that when I come to meet you, you
will hold me in your arms and I will never want to leave, and I pray that I will
never have to leave. Just know that when you hold me in your arms, I will feel
safe in the safest, most treasured place in the world. This is why I will not
want to leave again. Why will I go? to where? to the British? Like MAMMA TONY
will call them, the people that want to kill his son with work, Carmen Aldo
    will say!
Honey! I see you as someone I can trust, confide in, play with and
enjoy life with. You make me so happy. I can't begin to describe how you really
make me feel so I will offer just this: I love
    you.
    Tony

There are evil men on match.com.  I call them evil because they build up our hope of a bright new future with a loving man, then dash our hopes because it's al a scam.  Glad you found this site and were not duped into giving him money.  My best...

Well said Sherrie.  The first scammer that contacted me, well it went from November 19, 2014 until February 2, 2015 when he asked me for money for his phony scheme, dead mother and son and father killed in a car accident.  When the love words started, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, I kid you not.  I still think there is a special man out there looking for me, we just haven't met, or not.  What ever God decides, well that's the way it will be.  I'm not afraid to live on my own and I don't need a man to make my life complete.  it would be nice, though, to be loved again.  Take care.

Yes ,It would be nice to have someone in your life but not if I have to pay them and they want be there to hold me when I need it >This has been a real trip for me one that has really open my eyes and what makes it so bad it makes you where you do not want to meet anyone because of the lies. The hurt is almost to much to want to take the chance.I wish for you that you meet someone who loves you more then you love them I think that is the key.If you ever get to n.c. let me know it would be interesting to read each others letters ha ha

I recently had someone contact me from the "seniors meet.com" site. I think all those sites are related. Is there a place to go to view all the pictures of these jerks? Are any of you posting pics somewhere? If not, it needs to be done. I'm almost 66 and a very handsome, young looking guy that said he is 57 now loves me forever. No money mentioned but he does happen to be out of the country in the Mid East working on a pipeline. Every single day I get a long love letter but he never answers any questions I ask. Who is Alfred "Fred" Adams? Anyone?

I will forward the my pics to you, obviously HazelEyes4U.  Also read that the scammers are on AARP Dating, Christian Mingle, Our Time, et al.  Everywhere.  My first, only and last foray on match.com and all other dating sites.  It is inconceivable to me that they are getting away with this.  It took me a year to find this site.  Too late, but damage was not as great as so many others have experienced.  Brokers are not fiduciaries.

There are pics, names, etc. on other sites but check out MaleScammers.Com.  I signed up to check out info, but had problems gaining access.  Another is RomanceScams.com, and other sites.  I gave up after a while, but know this guy's photos are being used over and over again.  Dark hair, handsome, hazel eyes, pics from European cafe, courtyard and sail boat dock.

Just some more info not mentioned earlier re the Fund Manager Scam:  He phones after the Dubai "deal" requiring additional funds for the UK tax clearances, blah, blah, blah that somehow exactly coincides with whatever funds you may have invested in IRA/Retirement/Savings -- somehow equalling a certain percentage of the fake funds being held.  If you cannot or will not comply, illness (high blood pressure, etc.) ensues because he has been tearing all over the UK, Spain and Italy (acquiring and selling Mama's gold -- his Aunt (recovered from her coma) does not understand his situation and will not loan any more money) attempting to come up with the necessary clearance funds.  Oh, woe.  Then hospitalization ensues, with his purported physician calling directly to ask you to please go on line with scammer at hospital.  He has his laptop.  Oh, woe again.  Later one evening he phones saying he is in a medical crisis with skyrocketing blood pressure.  After telling him to contact EMTs for immediate urgent care, a few days later he sends a YIM (no longer on email of course) saying he would have been "a dead man" without your direct intervention.  He has previously lost his UK phone; you can no longer reach him.  However, all subsequent incoming calls from him (and doctor) are "restricted" phone numbers.  So on and so forth.  All LIES!
