- Vicki1944 replies to Linda3IHN| 19 repliesI joined match.com in November and the first man who contacted me was part of this scam group. Being naïve, I thought I had found a very special friend. Love doesn't come from a couple of weeks of e-mails, but they sure pile it on. I, too, reported to match and all I received was an offer of two weeks free service. They can keep their site. So, I'm on date.com and after a couple of weeks, the love comes from this new guy, and I'm going okay red alert, he's in Dubai, it will be a request for money and Sunday it was. I told him not to contact me again. Are there no decent guys on this sites? I looking in local churches to see if they have any senior dating programs.
- Cathy replies to Beware Women| 1 replyThis is the same letter I received except his name was Martino Dutch Santino, his wife'.s name was Lee Santino, married 26 years, his daughters name was Angela. He was from Denver, main office is in Kent UK. Email was martinosantino@yahoo.com. Don't let religion fool you he said he went to church every Sunday, sometimes bible study and he would quote from the bible. He even said a priest befriended him since he was at church almost everyday praying for a way to come home to be with me. My guess is if he went into a church he would burst into flames.
- sally replies to CathyThese guys are probably one guy. Hope they catch all of them and boil them in oil
- Linda3IHN replies to Vicki1944| 18 repliesI think they have infiltrated every single online dating site. On was on Christian Mingle years ago and they were there, too. A friend of mine just gave me the name of a "real" dating service but I'm sure it's very expensive. I live in Colorado and it's a Denver service so if anyone is interested, let me know. My e-mail is savedbygrace316l@gmail.com (that's 316L). I go to a single's group at my church but it's mostly just to have fun and eat and play games. I don't see any prospects there. :o( lol
- Linda3IHN replies to Linda3IHN| 17 repliesNow that I know I've got a scammer, I decided to bait him! So I first reported him to Match.com and then wrote him and replied to his e-mail as I always do but a day late and apologized. He knows I'm busy right now so I explained why I didn't e-mail him last night. In the same e-mail I asked him if he could do me a favor. I told him I had some money invested that my mom left me when she died in 2012 and I wasn't happy with my financial advisor. I figured he would be really excited and I would lead him down that path and then when it came time to send him money, I would tell him what a disgusting creature he is. Well, I just got home and got my usually "book" from him and it didn't sound very scripted this time and sounded like he actually wrote it because of the poor grammar, and he didn't even sound very excited about the prospect of getting money. I'll paste it and maybe someone can tell me if any of it sounds familiar. It is LONG!
Linda
Dearest Linda,
How are you today? I hope your Friday started on a good note. I want to thank the almighty for giving us another weekend. Like I said in my first email to you; though I will like to take this relationship slow, I will like to be positive. My giving you my heart at this point does not mean that I am trying to rush it rather I am being positive and consistence so forgive me if it seems that am taking the wrong step.
Hope you are having nice weekend with a little excitement as you are getting ready for your trip. I will wait to speak with you upon your return like you suggested. I had to work long yesterday so that I can conclude whatever I have to do here by today as I don’t want to stay longer. I got back to my hotel very late and very tired so I slept off wearing my cloth and shoes. The good thing is that we are making progress and that everything is going fine as planned.
Its six days now since I sent you the very first email and you replied me but to me it seems that we have known for a year. I really wanted a phone conversation because it will bring us into a new level in this relationship. Email communication remind me that it is still online dating that we are doing but phone communication will making look like two people are communicating
Let me say here that going on line to find a suitable companion seemed hopeless for me at the beginning. I my communication with you is giving me a positive perspective. My faith was restored, when I decided to write instead of wait to be written. I wrote you and you appeared I thank my "lucky star" and enjoy the wonder of it. Essentially, I was so deeply happy that you displayed the qualities I was looking for. I found out that we shared a lot of the same interests and I adored the expressive e-mails.
When I emailed you, I told you that I looked at your profile for 50 minutes and you must be wondering what I saw during that 50 minutes that made me email you. I have come to realize that lonely times make us search harder for the good times. Bad times are only vague memories and we can look to the future with optimism to happy times. To "give" and "receive", to pamper, to spoil, to guide, to care for in all ways, makes for a wonderful relationship. There is no need for anger, when there is understanding, loyalty and sincerity, open communication and the ability to compensate for differences. Life is meant to be enjoyed and thus, should not harbor hurtful thoughts and actions.
When I lost my wife, it was a big obstacle to my life that I did not wish to continue anything in life. There was no wish to date or to work. There was no joy in living because she was just a nice woman but she claimed that I was too nice that I brought out the best in her. It was when I discovered that Life is full of obstacles and to survive; one has to approach the obstacles with an open mind and a desire to overcome them.
I asked myself, do I want to be victorious in the challenge? Is the challenge worth the extra effort, Will it make your life better? If yes then I have pursue it with all my strength and that is what I have decided to do. As I said and will repeat again- don’t see me as moving too fast; I am telling you all this so that you will understand where I am coming from and that ten years of loneliness was the maximum any man can go. Coming out of it will tell you that I am and ready for a complete new life and that the past is behind me.
They say "Love" overcomes all obstacles. But to love blindly - leaves scares in your heart. The "ups" and "downs" in people’s life’s can be painful but can be healed with limitless compassion. Mine is healed so let us heal yours if it is still there. if your heart has been damaged too much by some cruel evil man, I can help you fix it like i fixed that of my late wife. I can still fix it like i fixed mine or let’s say, we can fix ours together. When I say we can fix ours together, I know that Life isn’t always a bowl of cherries. It's very important to know that it will take the two of us to make it happen. You will agree with me that everybody need happiness both man and woman.
Happiness is created in many ways - mostly in what people do and say! Your words can encourage me to drink long and hard from the cup of life; to capture every drop of adventure that comes my way. I often ask myself, why we met - even if it was in such an unconventional way! I truly believe that a "path" is mapped out for us, when we are born. Are we given a purpose - are we given instructions on how to live our life and what we are to achieve? We are guided by our parents, teachers and friends and unconsciously adapt some of their ways to our life. However, there is a greater plan for us in the making.
We are tested daily to make us stronger. Stumbling blocks are put in our way to overcome and make us rise above them. Many people travel from cradle to grave without ever seeing themselves clearly, without accepting heartache and grief and without ever wondering about their past, present and future. They accept their life blindly, without questions or true understanding of their own value and potential. They become frustrated, disillusioned and bitter. We have all been given the tools to excel, feel more important, more fulfilled and more useful. You have shown me that you know how to use the tools so don't ever let anyone tell you that you will not accomplish and excel at what you have chosen, or perhaps, what had been chosen for you. What measure do they use to compare, or do they feel inadequate in their own achievements?
Success is a passion for living. Success belongs to each and every human being. It is not for the few, or the chosen ones, or the rich, or the educated. Success is for everyone. IT IS FOR YOU. Success is simple; it means having, doing and becoming the best that life affords. It means service to mankind. Success means applying your best effort to realizing your best results, leaving the world a better place. It is winning at the game of life. Success is life itself! Success is no secret; no mystery; no cause for frustration or misery. It is yours to claim.
So, was I meant to come into your life to help you see your own worth, to encourage and support and show you the heights that you have already accomplished. I have not chosen your "path" and don't know the plan decided for you, but I know you have a passion for life, so you are and always will be successful. I am grateful to you for giving me your trust, but I think you now know, I would not misguide you. When I think about you, a picture comes to mind, a woman sweet and gentle, with a heart that is one of a kind. Your light shines ever bright, I see you as my inspiration, but most of all God’s Gift to me”. Concerning your investment management, .If your advisor is not competent to handle your investment portfolio, it's better you make a change of management but maintaining a successful investment portfolio is a vexing endeavor that can befuddle even the most seasoned professional. It involves mind-numbing complexity, and each decision can be second-guessed amid a never-ending stream of regrets. There are some guidelines you can use with or without an advisor to keep your portfolio on a steady, profitable course. But not to worry, I will see to it when we meet and move on. Let me stop here I'm sure I have written a lot for you to read...(SMILES)
I want to wish you a happy weekend ahead of you wishing you a cozy and safe trip; with this email welcome you to an inspiring Friday of good luck and success in all you do now and then. This letter may not be too romantic but inspiring enough to start your weekend with a new relationship. I thank God above for you, May you always find new blessings for as long as you may live. Once again, Happy Weekend.
It’s me;
Fred. - Lisa replies to Linda3IHN| 4 repliesGot the same message yesterday almost verbatuim. I figured out the scam early on and tried to get him to call me so I could tell him to [***] off myself. That didn't happen, his name Nick Riva from Pittsburgh. Dead wife Angela Maya Leon daughter Diane in Milan with mum pilot school, dead son Alex-Henry Leon jr. Amazing how many hours they spend trying to screw women, it must be exhausting. Also from match.com
- Vicki1944 replies to Linda3IHNSome of sounds like the Brad Bryon who contacted me. Seems too scripted, just like the e-mails I have received.
- Linda3IHN replies to Lisa| 2 repliesWow! They must sit on their butts all day long and respond to women and copy and paste the same thing and only change things when they are replying to what a woman says. Amazing! I sure wish there was a way to stop these guys! I reported this one (At this point, I don't know if it's one or many.) to Match.com but like I've said before on here, I think they join, contact a bunch of women at once and get off the site before they get caught. This one may not be as smart as the rest, though, because he still has a profile up on Match.com that he wrote me through. It's a 32-year old guy that he claims is a friend and he contacted me under it. He said his "friend" would be closing it soon and that was six days ago but it's still there and that is how I was able to report him.
Linda - Cathy replies to Linda3IHN| 1 replyI received the same "book" from Martino Dutch Santino. I have a name of one his "clients" guess from where? His name is Nwaru Alex, his address is 15 Adepitan Street, Ifako Ijaye Lagos, Nigeria 23401. I wonder if this is the real "Martino Dutch Santino"? I reported him to Match.com and explained to them what he did and I never heard back from them. When I requested to cancel with them they said they were sorry to see me go, if I changed my mind they would give me a discount for the first month.
- Linda3IHN replies to CathyMaybe we should be reporting Match.com to the Better Business Bureau instead of these clowns since Match.com doesn't seem to care one bit!! It's always about the almighty dollar.
- Cathy replies to Linda3IHNI am sure he is playing your offer laid back so he does not scare you off give him time. When he gets to Dubai he will ask you for money.
- amy replies to Linda3IHNI got this exact email in 2011. Beware

- Natalie replies to DizzyLady1| 14 repliesWow! Thank you! Thank you. Thank you for responding to my email/ request to contact me using my private email; I am sorry that i delayed my response which as result of work busy yesterday. I know it was unusual for me to request that you email through my personal email when you do not even know me. I am glad that you did because I would have lost contact with you as my subscription has expired and I can no longer access my Match.com account. Anyway, that is by-the-way since I can still reach you via your private email. Once again, thank you.
I hope you are having a good and nice day, mine has been a busy one as my office is relocating to a new building which is a permanent site. I have also been In and out of town this week so it was really a long week till yesterday. I have sorted my busy schedule out and now free so let talk about love .Lol.
It seems I have been rambling instead of telling you more about me as I promised in my email to you on the site. I am a bit religious, affectionate, outgoing, active, energetic, positive, generous man with a healthy sense of humor who is rediscovering all that life has to offer. 'm a bit of a clown, and playful, I love to laugh even at myself .I am a Fun loving, humble man with the belief that a woman should be treated like a lady and that it is always ladies first. I am a Fund Manager by profession; a work I love to do the way I love to enjoy life. I am generally a happy, upbeat person who has achieved much in life professionally, financially and personally. I am fun to be with and can be very romantic. I am positive on everything that life brings me. I believe that I am where I am at this point in my life for a good reason. I am an honest and caring person who is very loyal to those I care about. I've traveled extensively in the course of doing my work. I am financially very okay. I consider myself to be a gentleman with good values. I am comfortable in suits and tie as well as a pair of jeans. I am neat and clean in my living and my appearance.

I don't want to sound over excited but I must confess that I am so happy to have come across you and I know that you would want us to take this slowly but I will try to be positive and consistent. I pray that you will not see me as moving too fast or being so direct. I know you will not understand how happy I am to get your response after going through your profile for 50 minute and I made up my wind to write you hoping that you will write back and you did. I have come to understand that I will need a serious relationship in my life.
People say that I play with everything except my work. But what they don’t know is that I can play with my work but not with my love for someone. This is why I prefer people that will appreciate my humorous attitude. I am fun to be with and believe in the saying, ‘the older the wine, the better” so I don’t believe in age being a hindrance in a relationship.
I like seeing soccer, movies and listening to music. I like going to the beach and climbing mountains thou I have only climbed once in Dublin. I am currently attached to Capital Fund Investment international as a Senior Consultant Fund Manager, but would want to be self-employed in near future. I am a trained educationist and learnt the Fund Management trade under Robert Kiyosaki. I worked with him for seven years speaking on investing, fund management and teaching on how to benefit from the content of his three major books, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant, and Rich Dad's Guide to Investing. It was while on a tour with him to Aberdeen Scotland that I was made on offer by Capital Fund investment International. I worked with them for 6 years before I returned to United States and now work as a Consultant Fund Manager.
I have to stop here so that I will have another thing to say in my next email. I have attached some of my pictures which I uploaded on the dating site but since my subscription has expired, I don’t know if you were able to view them. I took the pictures three months ago when my daughter came to visit me from Italy. She needed new pictures of me so we used her camera to take the pictures and she printed it on getting to Italy and sent these ones to me. All I can assure at this point is that you will never regret meeting me if it works out for us; my late wife never did, so you will not. I promise!!! Let’s see how it goes.
Regards,
John.
I think this is the same guy under the name John Luciano - Natalie replies to Ginger| 3 repliesThis is the number he gave me 940-604-5323 he had to fly to Henretta Texas, then to Dallas to catch a flight with investor to Kent UK lol
- Vicki1944 replies to Natalie| 4 repliesSame guy as Brad Bryon and Lucci Verrati. Maybe we should contact Capital Fund Investments and see if they are a real company and are all their fund managers in the scamming business.
- Vicki1944 replies to NatalieThen his mum will die and he has to fly to Dubai and could you please help him. Same old story, you would think they could come up with something better.
- Cathy replies to Natalie| 4 repliesI received the same letter from Martino Dutch Santino. I wonder how they keep tract of who they are and who they are emailing,
Anyone who has lost money to these guys can write it off on their taxes when they file their income tax I checked, you will need to file a police report and have supporting documents. - Vicki1944 replies to Cathy| 3 repliesI reported Lucci Verrati, the Capital Fund International scammer to match.com again. This time he came up as Navag80r a 72 year old male. This is the second time I have found him under a different name on match.com and have reported him again, but they probably won't do anything this time either.
- Cathy replies to Vicki1944I found out they steal the pictures they use from Facebook, that is how they have a whole collection of pictures, work, at play, and with family. I even have one of him with his "daughter Angela." A blond girl about 20 yrs.
I also reported him with a description of his scam never heard back from them.
I checked the Capital Fund International Investment website last time I checked early June it had a a large warning sign before you enter.
