- penj replies to Linda3IHN| 1 replyIdentical, word-for-word, as one of the many emails he sent to me, posing as Jamie Abbadelli. I would really like to see him burst into flames upon entering a church!
- sheila replies to Hazeleyes4U| 1 replyJust letting you know that he's still out there but goes by the name of Nick Riva. Exact same stories too! Word for word! He had me going for awhile but being the analyst that I am, I started to pick up on his "mistakes". Supposedly, he's currently in Dubai and wanted me to give him my full name and address for some proposal and business deal he got from the Oil Mongrels! I told him no since I haven't even met him! Then I did some research and found this site! Thank goodness I found this site and all of you have submitted this information! Should have looked earlier and not wasted my time. Luckily, he didn't get any information or a penny from me!
Hope this helps so others will be aware of this scam! - sheilaGot another for you ladies to be aware. After the "Nick" incident, I went back to Match and sent an email to a gentleman located in Norfolk, VA. Here is his reply:
"Hello Dear , Thanks for the message.
How you doing today ? Hope this message meets you in good faith. I have gone through your profile and i find it very interesting as i will like to know you better. I am not always here as i use my ipad and it's difficult for me to type here, weird things happen sometimes to my words, so I apologise for any weirdness ahead of time . I'am happy to communicate more through my direct email : talktodouglas62@yahoo.com Or You can also give me your direct email so that i can email you with mine as I hardly check my messages here and my subscription expires soon . You are such a beautiful lady with a very beautiful smile, I cant wait to learn more about you. I hope to hear from you soon. Douglas"
After reading lots of postings in the website and what I received from "Nick Riva", I quickly noted the similarities of their first response emails. My reply to him was that I wasn't going to give out my home email since I've been scammed twice and if he wanted to continue talking to me, then renew your subscription. I also asked what part of Norfolk did he live in. I checked back on Match about an hour later to see if he had read it and yes, he did! Imagine that! But no response back from him so I'm going to assume this was another scam. So be on the lookout for someone named Douglas! - crackor44| 2 repliesHe found me, too. He is going by Paul Enzo White and we've talked but he does not know my last name. His mother, Carmen Mendoza White, died last week and was buried in Palermo, Italy He works as a fund advisor for Shell. He's on his way to Dubai and the final "something is foul in Denmark" was he had clearly cut and pasted an explanation of the Dubai culture into his e-mail. We also met on Match.com. I sent him an e-mail today stating another love interest is flying me to California and I want to focus on that relationship (no lie). I also wished him well and told him to watch out for scammers, that they are everywhere!
- Sheila replies to crackor44| 1 replyYeah, I got the same cut and paste description of Dubai as well. The "English" in that email was too perfect compared to the other emails I received. But my gut was telling me something wasn't right from reading earlier emails; just wanted to play along a bit and see what else would happen. When "nick" asked for personal information, i was done. I did send one last email stating all the past names and to take me off their list! I received one back asking me when I started to doubt him which my response was no way I was going to let them know because I want them to make the same mistakes again so other women could catch on! Glad you did too!

- Lucia replies to Betty1949| 4 repliesOh my God! I think I'very been duped too! I met a man on match.com. he said he was a senior fund manager for Vanguard International. His daughter signed him. He said his wife died 10 years ago, and he hasn't thought of dating until now. He said his son and father were killed in a car accident. He has emailed me everyday telling me that I am the one he wants and nobody else. Said his daughter lives in Italy with his mother, and she is studying to be a pilot in Milan. He has practically proposed to me on email, and I have not even met him yet. He said he lives on long Island but had to fly to Texas on business. he was supposed to return on Sunday, but now needs to go to the UK to sign contracts in Kent. He is using the name Fred Hanks I wish I could send the photo but I don't see how to attach it. he says he is 5 foot 9 has hazel eyes. I have a couple of pictures of him next to a red Harley Davidson motorcycle.
