- Barbara replies to Karen| 6 repliesI couldn't find this Shipmate7744 on Match. Wonder, did he send you 3 pictures of himself and one of them he has on a Ohio State T-Shirt. If so, then it's the same jerk. If you are on Facebook, he is on there as Kelvin Mounts and one of the pictures he sends out is on facebook. Go look and see if it's the same guy, Karen. His time is close to being up. With all of us turning him/them in for all of this, it's just a matter of time before he is caught. If any of you sent him money, be sure to give the FBI the account or name that you sent it to. Good luck, girls.
- Tired of Lies replies to Barbara| 5 repliesI looked up Kelvin Mounts on Facebook, not much of a profile, but that wasn't him. And when I did have a picture of him, there were 2 - both of him in a suit or sportscoat in a business or office building. He looks Greek, dark skin, dark hair - nice looking man. This was Steven Magdaleno Fox who works for Magellan Investments International
The other person I was asking about - Ryan Scanlon, says he is in London right now - a project manager helping convert power plants.
I was online last night and I think there is another one - Bryan Kish bryankish84@yahoo.com his profile on match.com is gone now - he was on there under bryanman568399 - said he was closing it after IM'ing with me - first time we communicated and he only wanted to talk to me - said he lives in Powell, Ohio, two pictures of him - older gentleman a little heavyset, in a suit. He just sent me an e-mail hoping we can talk again later, love you, Bryan. Who says love you after IM'ing with someone once?
Last night I was also contacted by Edward Sebastians - his profile name is/was newhope6129 and he lives in Cleveland, OH, Land developer and construction engineer - his profile is gone also, e-mailed me twice this morning - very long - poor english, wants to e-mail. How many of these guys are there???
Maybe I just don't trust anyone now. - Barbara replies to Tired of LiesI honestly believe it is an international ring and there are quite a few of them. The Kelvin Mounts photo on facebook is the same picture he sent me as Michael Dolan. Please, for your own protection, stick with the guys in your own neighborhood. These guys are creeps and know exactly what to do and say to win over a lonely woman's heart. I know you ladies are good and decent people just as I am--please don't allow yourselves to be hurt by these thugs. If they don't want to continue to correspond with you on Match.com and want to go to a private email right away, please run for your life because they aren't for real.
- Beachgirl replies to Karen| 22 repliesHi. My daughter found this site for me and I would like to share my experience with Raymond Pino Antonio. I caught his attention on Match.com and he immediately fell in love with me. My instincts are pretty good, but I failed to pay attention to myself. I was in Florida, I recently lose the man I loved as well as my only son, both within the same year. So, I was vulnerable. I did suspect that he was not real, but when you get older people think you are paranoid when you question the perfect man coming into your life. We've emailed and spoke on the phone from early Sept through last week. It's taken him awhile to separate me from my money. I am not a wealthy woman, I guess I was just a great find for him. His story is as follows: an international soccer agent recruiting in Liverpool, UK. Born in Italy, mother is British, father Italian (deceased), wife killed in a car accident 8 yrs or so ago, one daughter, Eve, and one brother, Tony. Mother got sick, had to have an operation, poor Ray had to send Tony money to pay for same making him a little short of cash while working on this HUGE 6 million dollar contract. DIDN'T FALL FOR THAT ONE. The next drama was poor Ray, got sick because he is unable to eat well and didn't have the money to pay his hotel room. Please can you send anything to help me out. When this contract comes to fruition, we can live as one. Happy forever more......yeah. Ok, so I am a softy, I send him $500 cash and considered it a test. If he asked for more money, then my instincts were still working. Of course, it didn't take him long to fall in his bathroom, had to go to the hospital in UK. Poor Ray, they wouldn't release him until he paid his hospital bill. I replied, "UK has socialistic medical care, they can't hold you", OMG, thank you said Ray. They were trying to take advantage of him. Next: he is almost finished his contract. All of the boys from the Academy are ready to be presented to the Liverpool professional soccer club. Oh no, they are really making it difficult for him, asking him for copies of this and copies of that. Yep, you guessed it, all out of money. Ray's brother Tony took a loan from his employer and is being pressured to be paid back. Little Eve, 26 yrs old, is such a girl. She needs things, clothes, shoes, etc. Pool Ray, spread so thin, can I come up with some way to get more money. He will pay it all back when the contract is completed. I knew it was a scam then, but I was bored and I continued playing with him to see how far he would go, OMG, he actually cried on the phone, his love for me has grown over the last 3 months and soon we can live as ONE if I could just come up with $1000 more he could be home by Xmas and we could be together. Wow, what a master con man he is. Right now, I am no longer answering his calls which he makes in the middle of the night and during the day. He is working so hard............ I'm also not answering his emails. I would love to report him to match.com or the FBI, but not sure how to go about that. I think putting this info here, hopefully other women can beware and stay away from someone like this. Oh, my nickname he gave me "Sunshine", isn't that just the sweetest thing. Good luck to all of you, there are some nice guys on Match.com but you really need to weed out the cons. You are welcome to share your experiences with me if you want.
Helen - Barbara replies to Beachgirl| 3 repliesHelen, Wow!! sounds like you got a dandy just like we did. It could very well be the same people but the story is different from the basic one where he works as a fund manager for Magellan/Margellan Investments International. You can report them online to the FBI or you can call the nearest bureau to where you are located. I did both. They called me back real quickly. All of us ladies need to keep publishing these stores along with alias names so that they can be googled on the Web and perhaps we can save the life of another innocent woman. Good luck to you, Helen.
- beachgirl replies to investigation| 1 replyI have also been corresponding via email and phone from early Sept through this past week. The scammer is Raymond Pino Antonio. A few of the messages posted are very likely the same person. Have you been able to arrest him. This guy is very smooth and has an answer to every question I've asked. He has asked for money and I did send him $500. I suspected him of not being honest when his Mom got sick and had to have an operation. He had to send his brother Tony money to pay for the surgery. Of course, that took money out of his funds that were to pay for soccer players from the Academy. He scouted, chose several players, then paid the Academy for them. He then presented them to the Liverpool soccer club.
I didn't fall for the first request for money, but then he had terrible migraines, fell in the bathroom and had to be hospitalized. They wouldn't release him without payment. Of course, UK has socialized medical, I guess he thought I lived in a bubble. He had to move from the really nice hotel to a lesser one because he barely had enough money to eat properly, poor Ray. So, I sent him the money as a test. I was my own worse enemy. I thought if he asked for more, that would solidify my theory. He is very patient, but it always came back to the money. He is so close to completing his contract, then he will have enough money to live for years without working and we would live as ONE. Needless to say, I haven't returned any of his calls nor have I emailed him. I hope this little story helps some other kind soul to avoid Ray or anyone like him. They are despicable people praying on the goodness of others. - beachgirl replies to PatPat, I would run.............. He is very skillful and a master at his trade which is to make you believe he falls in love with you. Then, all hell breaks lose, his Mom or some other family member will have to be hospitalized, then so on and so on. Read my messages, I've tried to set it down as it happened. I have pages upon pages of correspondence from poor Ray. He changed it around a little. He was Raymond Pino Antonio to me. My nickname is "Sunshine", isn't that sweet. He wanted me to give him a nickname. I couldn't come up with anything, but he thought "Baby" would do. He is good at crying on the phone as well. This guy should be in Hollywood because he knows all of the answers and his sexy accent if a killer. He's send me so many poems and love letters. They are so phony, but he can really get to you if you're sentimental or sad. My only son died in an accident in April 2010, I recently lost the man I loved in June 2010 so I was very vulnerable. My head said NO, my heart said "God sent me someone to love and be loved in return". BEWARE, he is a professional scammer. Remember, this is a job to him. You are nothing but a "mark".
- beachgirl replies to Karen| 1 replyKaren, FYI
Here is the last email I received from Ray Antonio. He wanted me to see $1000 to Smith Brown who has control of Ray's money for the soccer players. He needed the money to complete his contract.
Hi Baby,
How are you doing? hope you are getting better? No matter what you still have to talk to me..... I don't know what to say about the money or the name been on a scam list. It is not possible for Mr Smith Brown to be a scammer, He is a good guy, what else can I do to make you believe all that I have been telling you, It's not a good time for all this to be happening am really frustrated the only woman I love is not talking to me, the world seems to be on my shoulder.... I feel like dying right now.... I truly love you and if you truly love me in return you won't be causing me so much pain by not talking to me....Please we need to talk Ok. I love you and always will, can't wait to hear from you. Ciao.
Please take good care of yourself for me,
Ray. - Barbara replies to beachgirlBeachgirl, my money is on the fact that this is the same scammer that we have all been victim of. The writing is nearly identical to the one's I received. Even signed off with Ciao. Love of his life - God put me on earth especially for him and nothing or nobody will ever separate us ever. What a louse!!!! He copied and pasted the most romantic poems and love letters from the internet to send to me. He also cried and cried because his heart was in so much pain from being away from me. The thought of not being able to hold me and look into my eyes and show me how much he loves me was just too much for him to bear. I am nauseated right now (ha). His nickname for me was "My Joy". It started out as darling but then he said too many people use the word darling and I was way to special for a name that everyone else used. OMG!! Hang in there. I realize that he doesn't work for Magellan Investments or Fidelity Investments but they have both been notified that he is using their company as a scam. Guess you can't do that since he is now a soccer recruiter (ha). Let's keep up the information. The authorities have this website and they can track.
- WindsorWise| 5 repliesI thought that I would check back to see if this scam ring (yes multiple people) are still on line and yes, it appears that we have not successfully shut them all down. All of us have learned valuable lessons about not sending money to "strangers" that we have never met. I did not fall for any of his sob stories about needing money because anyone who has family and a good job can find money on their own. You would be amazed at how much money these guys can make ($500/contact) by scams like these. Do not ever send them money, your full name or address. Facebook and these dating sites are aware that photos and identies are being copied for these scams and that innocent people are being set-up. I feel sorry for the guys whos photos/identies are being used and I trust that the FBI continues to capture these hoods.
I played along, never gave my full name, used gmail account without my real name attached, did not give money but did get him to provide me with a Western Union location (Avenue du boulvard 17, 1210 Madrid Spain) and name of his "daughter" (Ms Janet M Brown). Surprise, surprise for him when he/she came to pick up money...law was there to greet them. Keep up the communication as it works and over time we will stop these scammers from repeating.
Stay safe and have a wonderful holiday season. - Christine| 3 repliesI didn't have phone contact with Magdaleno Michael Dinero, only e-mail contact thanks to all the women who have reported this scammer. He contacted me from match.com and I have withdrawn from the site - too scary. His MO was exactly the same as described with the other names that include Magdaleno, including the address in Fresno, CA. A big thanks to all of you who have reported him.
- Barbara replies to Christine| 1 replyLadies, there are 2 Kelvin Mounts on Facebook. The scam artist that I dealt with sent pictures as Michael Dolan of the Kelvin Mounts that has on the white shirt and tie (front view), Go to facebook and look it up. See if that's the same picture that he has been sending all of you. Bet money that it is because he has 2 other photos that he sends out along with this one. One of them is more of a head shot and the other is a picture in a Ohio State T-Shirt. Wonder who that guy really is don't you?
- Toby replies to BarbaraI wish I would have believed my son who gave me this website. I have been communicating, including phone calls, w/ Kelvin Mounts since Oct. 31 or so. I'm out close to $20,000, so I'm glad that he's been reported. However, how is it that they cannot catch the man? I just don't understand it.
I could give a whole history of all the things he's said, but guess you know it all by now. I'm just sorry that I fell for it (widowed almost 4 years now).
I guess that's all I have to say so far. What agencies has he been reported to? I'd like to give them copies of his written work and also that for Maxindex and Burmingham Credit Union.
I just cannot believe how many of you there are. So amazing! - Karen replies to Beachgirl| 17 repliesBeachgirl, my nickname was also "sunshine" and I called him "tesoro" meaning treasure, even though he didn't speak Italian. Yes the same story. Big contract. Called all the time, very attentive, then got a migraine and needed meds, then got kicked out of his hotel room and would have to live on the street, then needed money to get his contract completed, then cried on the phone and made me actually cry, even tho at that point i knew he was a fake. but my gosh what lengthes he went to to try to get even $500. I didn't send money. He "interviewed me" after that to ask why i did not want to help him, I guess he was trying to better his "story". It was like an exit interview, and he signed off I love you forever. oh well. Yes, his daughter Eve even sent him jokes that he shared with me, and his brother's taking a loan from his shoe factory....and his mother just had kidney stone operation...and you know. it was the most convoluted and eked out line. I just couldn't believe anything more could happen to him. Read back in this site and you will find the FBI email that I believe Barbara provided. I have saved all the papertrail, and gave the FBI all his other aliases I could find. Such a terrible and sweet scammer, huh? I'm about through with match.com, I just can't believe anyone there anymore. And had my profile hacked two times by those scammers, so it seems too risky for now. I'm going to focus on building my kayak, and maybe I will find my "mate" out on some quiet pond or waterway.... Have a lovely holiday, every one of you.
- Barbara replies to Karen| 16 repliesI want to wish all of you ladies the Happiest of Holidays!!! We should all never feel bad about allowing our hearts to be involved. We are human and there is someone out there for all of us. I don't, however, believe that it is the dating sights. I am gone from them now and am seeing a wonderful and honest man. I promise you that there is someone out there for each of you. We should all get together some day and compare our experiences with this "Sweet and Despicable" scammer. My prayers are that he will be brought to justice. Please direct your FBI agent to this website. They will catch him. God Bless.
- elynette54 replies to janeyjAlmost exactly. In his email to either of you does he spell the word "cause" like this "cos"? He writes me poetry and use the Gary Wheary.
- Karen replies to beachgirlBe careful Beachgirl, "Investigation" that you replied to is not a real investigator. It is one of the scammers trying to get more information on what we know about them. How did "invetigation" get in touch with you?
- michele replies to Aug 2011| 1 replychad Krebs was on match for a few days now his profile is gone same story, lost his wife 10 years ago ,wants to meet me will love me forever .what bull s___. i figured he is from another country right away ,based on his writing used the name Dawn P7 , he says he is 60
- Reported replies to micheleMy friend was almost scammed by this man on match.com as I called match and reported this man and explained that this site notes he has been reported since 2010 and he is still scamming women on their site. People need to report in writing and by phone and if match.com continues to post this man they are allowing this for e sake of a buck and women should hold them LIABLE for continuing to allow a fraud to use their site to scam innocent women.
Suerte chicas!
