Any man that says he is going to Africa and a engineer is a scammer!!!!!!!!  all the scammers in Africa say they are engineers...they all here then in a week of knowing you they have to leave for a job in Africa....ALL SCAMMERS guaranteed....they just change the name...but same story...hundreds in a call center!!!!!!!

They will sometimes have the same photo....hundreds of guys...at a call center using the same story....just change the names and the phone numbers but same crap......call centers in Africa....guaranteed!!!!

According to an article I read in the AARP magazine, it's a group of men and women based in Nigeria.  Supposedly the government is aware of the group, but in no hurry to shut them down.  I've never met any of the men who asked me for money (which I did not send) and they always had an excuse as to why they could not get home and needed my help.

I met a man on cupid.com. For five years we had a online relationship. I saw this site and told him that I didn't trust him and he was a scammed. He supposedly was only 11 miles away. He had a man that could drive him to my apartment. The friend wanted 100 dollars iTunes card which I felt was excessive.
He then told me he could not take a taxi he was afraid and fears that he would be hurt.

All bs all he ever wanted was my money. No more money I told him.

I really gave him everything I owned.
Stay away from this man he is good at what he does.

No one is saying that everyone on a contact site is a scammer but that you should be wary of the ones that do contact you. Just ask yourself "what would I advise my daughter / younger self " in the same situation. Common sense seems to go out the window after a few " honeyed" words.   Just a thought, though Mary, if you met a man on Cupid and you are about to get married, why are you on here?

I got that same email today.  How gullible I am and disappointed.  But glad I found out early and didn't get overly "invested" in some scammer.  Thanks to all for identifying this scum bag.  Sent to me under the name Lazzero Moretti.

I have just started talking to a John Diaz from Reno Nevada who is supposed to be civil engineer. He is supposed to be working on his last job before retirement at 63 so I suppose this is the same John Diaz who had contacted you. If so this will be my third scammer and I'm really getting tired of it.

I met Albert Claudia Basillius on Globalpenfriends.com and he took away my $19000usd. He claims he is doing construction business in Dubai and United States. He claims he has a son who is a drug addict. I just found out he is also writing to other women at the same time. Does anyone know how I can apprehend this criminal? He is a Scammer!!!! I have been emailing thi man for about 2 weeks now.  His e mails are great, but sound unbeleiveable.  I mention issues about myself and he ignores it to tell me about his mother passing, his aunt being in the hospital his inventsments, his traveling etc.
Just did a search on the compnay he says he works for and reading stories all abt a man like him.

A guy names Allen Born has been e mailing me and says he had to travel to texas for business then UK. His mother Carmen pased away last week, his son and father passed in a car accident, his aunt fell sick after his mother passed, he is in live with me, his mother passed only because she knows I will take care of her son Enzo. If I do not e mail daily he says he needs to hear from me.
So on and so on.  Be careful ladies

It has been almost 6 years since these people scammed me and they are still running the same scam and innocent women are being taken by them.  Why on earth is something not done about this.  I just simply don't understand why!!!! What is wrong with our legal system???

OMG...I can't believe this is exactly what I didn't want to believe. .but exactly the same story to me!???  His name was John Heber and he worked for Easy Way Investments International.  Exact same story for me. He got my name and address but luckily no money.
