I just got a call from a guy of Indian accent from microsoft. He said it was about my computer. I told him my computer is fine and hung up on him. I heard about this going on, and they get into your computer and steal all your information. I should have played around with it and told him I didn't have a computer and seen what happened. I'm not an idiot, and knew this was happening and people who had there identy stole from it.

I had the same experience... received a phone call from this number from a person with a strong accent. He said he was from Windows and several errors and alerts were causing problems with my computer. I told him I was not interested in a service and to place me on his do not call (I too am on the national list) and he became very rude, saying he is not offering me anything he wanted to show me the errors.

I said ok, and he wanted me to type something into "Run" on my computer. I told him I was not stupid and there is no way I am allowing him to run or download a program on my computer. He basically yelled at me, that when I have problems with my computer and it crashes do not blame Windows. I said ok, I won't, and hung up.

When asked to provide information that would verify the authenticity of his claim to be a Microsoft rep, he hung up. (Before I could say, "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN.") I have researched this number and this scam has been going on for a minimum of several months. These CYBER THUGS need to be stopped as I am sure there are some naive people who would give them access to their PCs & then either have their PCs messed up or their private information stolen.

Just got a call from this number. Caller was a woman with strong Indian accent, hard to understand. Said she was customer support and the computer I was using with Windows was downloading virusus. When I asked her "how do I know you are from Microsoft," she hung up.

I got a call from this number this morning from a women with a strong Indian accent, telling me that she was from Microsoft and that they had been getting downloads from my computer and that Microsoft techs are the only one that can fix it.  I told her I was not near my computer, she then asked when I would be saying it was really important that it gets fixed or my computed would crash.  Told her to hold on and hung up on her.  She called back, I asked her a question and she got really rude so I started getting rude back, and I guess she didn't like that cuz she hung up on me!

I got the same call today 7/31/2013 about  9:30 am. He said my computer was infected and he needed me to turn my computer on and he would walk me through it. I actually hung up on him after telling him no. He called right back. I told him I had a virus protection on my computer , he said it didn't matter my computer was infected now just turn it on , I told him I wasn't giving him access to my computer. He said he wouldn't be accessing my computer. I handed the phone to my husband who yelled at the man, told him we said no and not to call back. This man had an indian access.

Call today from this number.  Lady with Indian accent.  Called me by my last name.  I asked where she was calling from, as it comes up at Unavailable on caller ID.  I couldn't understand what company she said.  She said she was calling about my computer and that it needed to be updated for security purposes.  Then she told me that I need to go to my computer.  I told her my husband is a computer technician.  She then wanted to speak with him.  I hung up.  This is a scam that allows people from computer remotes to get into your computer.  DO NOT DO THIS.  HANG UP IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THEM OR ANY OTHER PLACE LIKE IT.

Back again,  same number,  same story,  East Indian accent, calling from Microsoft Windows regarding problem with my computer -  told him there was not a problem with my computer and not to call again, he hung up........

I got a call on August 29, 2013 at 9:20 by tne same guy.....Eventhough, I just woke up I thought it was
strange that Microsoft would have my house no. I refused to turn on my computer and he got upset
and told me not to call his company when my computer crash and hung up.

These people keep calling me, when it first started they tried telling me they were from MY tech service, which is ITech. I asked to speak to the gentleman whom I usually work with & they put someone on the phone trying to impersonate him. When I asked this person questions that only my rep & I knew the answers to they hung up. I called ITech & they said NEVER give these people access to my computer & that ITech would NEVER call me. Recently it has started again. First a man called & when I said "nope, your not getting access to my computer he hung up. Today a woman called & said she was with windows & this concerned my computer. Once again I said "nope, I'm not logging on to my computer" she hung up. I called the number & it says it is not in service.????

I just had a call from this same number, and the guy told me he was from Microsoft and needed me to go to my computer immediately, because my computer would crash in the next two days from multiple viruses it has obtained.  I asked how he got my number and he said I used it to register my computer.  I asked for a phone number to call them back because I didn't feel this was a ligitimate call from Microsoft. He gave me a number to call back, and when I asked him to repeat the number he hung up.

Definately not a ligitimate call.  I just wanted to see how far he would go with this before he hung up.  Microsoft will never call with things like this.

These scumbags called me at 6:45 am this morning - I work nights and am on call so I did not even look at the number as I was sleeping - heavy India accent saying he is with Microsoft and there is a problem with my computer. Having knowledge of this scam and being really mad they woke me up, I played along.
Without going into all the detail - lets just say after about 5 mins of giving him false info about my computer and him thinking he had the sale - he was asking for a credit card, I said Merry Christmas cause you have been had - hope you enjoyed your wasted time with me and also interjected some foul language. I know it did not good - but it sure gave me a smile and some satisfaction to "bait & hook " him.

I just also received a call from this number, an indian sounding guy, he got angry with me when i told him i wouldnt go to my computer and turn it on for him, so i told him if someone wants to call me that speaks english ill talk to them and I hung up on him!!!

This number called with an indian accent. They claimed they were from microsoft. Thay told me to go on some website and enter a code, soon after that they were controllling my computer. I believe that have my presonal info. I did a recovery on my computer...

He spoke very vulgar, very nicely asked him to remove me from his list, said I won't do it... said and I quote : I will put my (bleep) in your (bleep) [***].

From this number, a man with a thick accent claimed to be calling from Microsoft regarding my home computer receiving virus' over the past few days.  When I started asking the questions, he hung up.

Recieved a phone call today, the second one in a few weeks telling me the same story as above.  I played along for a bit to find out more.  When he wanted me to Run something on my computer I told him I knew it was a scam.  He, in his Indian accent told me to "Go to Hell, Maam".  I was shocked and asked what he just said and he repeated it 3 more times.  I hung up!  The phone number is the same.  
Can anyone track this idiot down and lock them up?

So I got this call today....started stupidly typing in eventvr in the run, but thankfully my windows system made me stop before I could allow it to continue.  Couldn't understand the guy anyways and googled eventvr to realize it was a scam. If i didn't allow the program to continue, I'm ok, right?
