Thanks for the information.  Had 3 calls from this number and worried because I have family in the 289 area code!  This site has saved me from several scam numbers!

I just received a call from this number and it told me that I was a preferred bell customer and to press 1. I have got many of these types of calls from other numbers and I know this is a huge scam!!!

No message but they have called my blackberry a couple of times.

Said I am a Bell Canada customer (which I am) and that I won a prize, press 1 to claim.

...didn't press one...

Got a call from this number on my home AND cel phone - not sure how they got both numbers, as I don't give out the cel very often.  Glad I didn't answer/

just got the call on my cell...saying i won something from bell canada, tried to call from my land line to blast them...but...number  is not in service, does anyone know where to call to report these scams. I was had once about 6 months ago, out over $450 but now I really check up everything

Yup! Same number who called me..  too busy to answer - no msg

Received a call three times in two days, didn't answer because it said it was from Ontario (long distance). Left no message.

Yep.  This number hit my cell, and I hit ignore.  No message.  Don't EVER answer calls you do not recognize the number from.  Inevitably it's either a scam or a telemarketer tryinng to seperate you from your hard earned money.

I also got a call but they left no msg curiously searched number my instinct was correct agree with the posts!

Accidentally answered this unknown number today, Dec 2010. It was a recording saying "As a Bell customer....blah blah" I hung up immediately, as I am NOT a Bell customer.

i am in kelowna, british columbia and received a call from this number today. did not answer the call.

got a call.... pressed 1 too late... thank God just hope I won't have ahrges on my cell
