I get 3 or 4 calls from this number daily.  It is a recorded message telling me I have qualified for a lower interest on my credit card. I am on the National Do Not Call List and would like to get this stopped immediately!

I have received calls from this number several times in the past week.  I finally answered today to a recording about pressing 1 to find out about a "special offer for lowering my rates."  I pressed 1 and was connected to Lindsay who confirmed the message.  She asked for my name but I refused, stating I wanted to know what this was regarding prior to giving out any information.  She let out a very frustrated sigh and hung up on me

I am getting 2-4 of these calls a day! So is my mother. We are so sick of them! I finally talked with someone and told him to take me off his list-I don't even use credit cards. He simply replied, "That is not an option." and hung up. UGHHHHH!

Like others have reported, I get calls from these people even though I have selected the 'do not call' option. The only recourse seems to be to waste their time. So I acted like I was interested but dumb and didn't know what they were trying to do.  I asked questions like "what does it cost?" and was told "no out of pocket expenses" so I dug further and even told her that eventually it had to come out of my pocket.  She claimed they negotiated lower credit card rates and took their earnings from the savings. Its a scam, they don't do anything that you can't do yourself. When they get to the part about asking for a credit card number I told her that since I didn't know who they were it probably wouldn't be wise of me to give out that information. She offered to transfer me to her supervisor but I declined and nicely asked her to put me on their do not call list.  She said she would, but I'm looking forward to them calling tomorrow! I wouldn't bother trying to prank them like Tom Mabes, I'm sure they have heard them all. If I get tired of it I'll simply block the number or ignore it.

Anyone have any idea of who these people are and how they get our numbers? Is there some company or bank selling them a list of their customers or do they just war-dial and hit everyone? I have gotten lots of calls but they never seem to be able to remove me from their do-not-call list.

I know this post is old but I got a call from this same number today...did anyone find out who these people are?

I would you...they call and don't leave a message. I am on the do call list, but some reason they got my number. I have been getting all kinds of calls even though I am on the don not call list. I would like to report these folks and have some one put a stop to this mess.

I had received a call from 301-882-9986 on 3/4/11 (2:04P).  The male voice message stated that if I had any past debt with the IRS I should call them back.  

I had received a call from 301-882-9986 on 2/28/11 (1:03P).  The male voice message stated that if I owe the IRS and expecting a refund from the IRS I need to call them back.  
 
I called my telephone service and they put my residential number on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I was also told that I could program *60 Call Screening (Reject caller) on my residential number and internet.

stop calling me........I have told you  STOP

Recorded message about how they will help me "if you owe any form of back taxes." Nice of 'em to ignore the No-Call List.

They said their name is NWNS and they offered "free home security"
I told them they were calling a business & she hung up!

I have a new way of handling these guys. I press 1 after the recorded message, the criminal comes on the phone confident that they have a sucker, and then I blast an air-horn in his ear. It is immensely satisfying.
