- DeniseYou need to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The Federal Communications Commission can fine these companies if they can ever determine who they are, but it's the FTC who is investigating to shut them down. I got this information directly from the FCC. I've been getting these calls for months, sometimes 7 times a day. The phone number they call from changes on my caller ID every few weeks (recently from 757.990.8981 and 804.234.9010). If you have caller ID, don't give them the satisfaction of answering their calls. They will never take you off their call list and will always hang up or be rude to you.
- lee weaveTHis number came up on caller ID. Didn't answer it.
- MiguelI keep receiving calls from this number to my prepaid cell phone and when I call back to remove my number it rings busy.
- StretchI have let this number ring many times before, thinking this number would leave a message on the answering machine, but after more than a month of this "New Market, MD" number calling, and they didn't leave any messages, I decided to answer to see what seemed to be so important to them. When I did that, a recording stated there is nothing wrong with my credit card, but they could lower my interest rate to 6 %, press 1 to speak to a representative, or 2 to be taken off their call list. I hit 2. The very next day, this number called again. This time I hit 1. A lady came on, and she said "I need your name and phone number. I said you don't need my name, and since you called me, you already have my phone number. I told her I hit the # 2 the day before, why are they calling me?! I told her I am also on the "Federal Do Not Call" list, why am I getting these calls, and they need to stop calling me. She abruptly hung up without saying anything. If I want my interest rate lowered on my credit card, I will call the company that issued my credit card. I don't need someone else to do that for me, or call me, and say that they will do that for me. Why don't these scumbags bother people who "want" their services? It seems like these phone numbers always bother us, the people who "DON'T want their services or to listen to their constant ringing on our phones !! These phone calls and the people working them are nothing but big scammers. BEWARE !! I think our Congress needs to rethink their "Do Not Call" list. There's too many loopholes that these scumbags are finding. It's NOT working, are you representative and senators listening out there? I am going to write a letter to my senator and congressman. I am tired of this crap.
- Caller: New Market, MD
- Pat RMy caller ID indicated the call originated from NEW MARKET, MD. Was an offer to lower my credit card interest.

I emailed the company I referred to on the previous page of this board. They emailed me back and said that they do not do credit cards for people, therefore they are not calling me. I don't care, the company calling us is saying they are 'Card Services'. If the phone solicitors are using their name then it is their burden to stop them. Why should we all have to suffer because of unscrupulous business practice? I still want to know who actually falls for it and makes it worth their while to do these cold calls? I urge everyone reading this to go back and copy my letter and send it to the link I provided for 'Card Services'. Maybe if they get enough emails, they will look into it further. Please add the phone number the marketing people called you from, mine was 301-882-9986.- Caller: Call Center, MD
- SusanDeciced to answer after they have called repeatedly. Pressed *1* to speak to someone. She claimed to be able to lower my credit card interest rate, and asked to confirm my name and address.
"Before I give you any information, who are you calling for?"
"To lower your interest rates"
"On which card?"
"VISA or Mastercard" (**FRAUD ALERT! Most banks don't issue both VISA and Mastercard-- only one or the other**)
"From whom?"
(silence)
"Which bank has issued the card you want to discuss?"
"One moment please while I transfer you" (dead air)
Someone picked up the line and asked for Judy (not my name)and quickly put me back onto 'ignore' and soon after the line went dead.
I called my local PD Vice squad to report this as a possible scam. I got their voicemail too.- Caller: not listed, not given when asked
- linda kcrazy background noise (like a wind tunnel) on the answering machine
- LunaNumber called at 9am and was an automated voice asking questions.
SYSTEM: "This is an automated telephone call. Please confirm the following details so we can process your information and put you through to a live operator"
SYSTEM: "Please enter your bank account number"
After I entered a load of baloney into the phone, I got through to an operator, who said my account was frozen and I needed to pay £50 to un-freeze it. I then said I'm reporting him to the police for fraud and hung up. - CharlieI just got a call from this phone number. It's about reducing the rates on a credit card. I pressed one and the "lady" who came on said, "Hello. This is.......(yes, there was a long pause)....Veronica." They may be using FALSE NAMES!! I asked her why she called a number that was on the DO NOT CALL list and she said that it was to reduce my credit card rating. I told her that I did not have one and was about to say that I was going to report them to the FCC, but she hung up on me first! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE TELEMARKETERS ALREADY!!!! I already reported this on another site and will copy and paste this message onto other complain sites as well.
- beaverspams me daily. cannot block it. what a pain!
- KatieI received the first call from this number on 5/15/09 and they left me a blank voicemail when I checked it. Called again today and I caught the end of a sentence on my voicemail. Not sure what this was about, but when I tried calling the number back it said the number was invalid.
- calls numerous timesdaily with off to fix credit card debt. Don't own a credit card. Obnoxious as all hell every damn day...
- Just calledIt's a scammer. They get your cc number and then charge a bunch of stuff on it.
- samgot two calls today, the first one at noon,I got through to the woman asked her to take me off her list, she hung up on me. She then had the nerve to call me again at 1400, hung up on me again. grrr.
I reported the number to the fcc; throwing words such as "harassment" in there... although reading everyone's comments, I don't think much is being done. I am fed up with these people. They interrupt me during work (at the hospital) and today while I was at the vet. Someone needs to find a good investigator and track these people down. They need to be arrested. They are obvious criminals trying to get any information they can. - TomBeen calling me almost daily for weeks now.
I'm on their do-not-call list, but calls keep coming.
They usually hang up as soon as I utter anything that shows they're not fooling me.- Caller: New Market MD
- steveif you are on the do not call regtistry then report them to the FCC....if not, why arent you
- Gina GriffithGod a robo call telling me I can refinance a credit card. This is not the first time I have received this call -- depite being on the Do Not Call registry. Prior experience told me that even if I "Press 1 to speak with a live agent" I would garner no info about the name of the company which would give me an actionable complaint against them. So I pushed "2' to be taken off their comtact list. A robo voice repeated back to me my phone number and robotically informed me I was now removed from their contact list. We'll see.
- Caller: did not identify themselves
- tired of itcalls 3-4 times a day and hangs up when voice mail comes on.
- E CRobo call from "Account Services" started with "DONT BE ALARMED YOU CAN STILL LOWER YOUR INTEREST RATE" or something close to that...
Caller ID says its a Maryland Call. When I allowed myself to be connected to an agent and asked him for the name of the company, he said "Account Services" and when I asked "Account services for what" he hung up on me.
I called the number back and an almost unintelligible Indian voice said "if this is the number you wish to be moved press 1" or "press 2 to move another number." I assume she was saying "remove" but I wasn't sure.
This annoyance is just as bad as the warranty services robo calls and should be stopped.- Caller: "Account Services"
