Received a call from "Bryan Russell".  Picked up the receiver and no one answered. Called the number on caller ID back, but no one answered. Thanks for the info about this scam. I'll be on the look out for more calls from him.

It shows up as a Bryan Russell calling and its an Indian guy with an American name...They started calling and hanging up at my workplace...awesome!  I tried to call it back and it doesnt even ring, so obviously this is legit.  I am going to take one of the first guys' advice and use the emergency whistle.  It made me lol.

Whoever this person is better hope he is not using our family's name to get this scam....because we are contacting phone company regarding this incident.

Yep got a call on caller id from Bryan Russell 305-434-7047.  Trying to maintain that we have been getting free YP advertising and that he wanted to confirm that we would get a $500 bill for a previous year of advertising.  I don't even recall his name, but it was an Indian male's voice...just threaten to contact your attorney or send a complaint to the State of Florida's AG Office.

Same thing as the rest said. I told him we knew nothing of having a listing, nor the decision to cancel it. I told him I was uncomfortable with his call and felt it was a hoax.  He hung up on me.

I've gotten 3 calls from Bryan Russell at 305-434-7047 so far today.  First 2 times, I answered, but no one there.  Third time I did not answer.  Fool me three times??/ No.  This list just confirms what I already suspected. I wish there were a more effective way to deal with these nuisance calls.  If they had a $1.00 fee added to their phone bill for every nuisance phone call that was reported to the FTC or to the phone company they would quit in a nanosecond.  So much for unlimited long distance calling!  Maybe the phone company should be required to charge a fee to a calling party if the called party presses *99 during a call.  That would take care of it.

just got a call to cancel my yellow pages account which I don't have , caller id said Bryan Russell , was a Indian woman ,

Hung up as soon as I answered. Caller ID said "Bryan Russell".

Same idiot Indian guy called our practice today!! Scam scam scam - we need to call BBB and place a class action lawsuit!! The phone number is 305-434-7047 a guy named Russell Bryan! Tried scamming us for $599.99 but if we paid today would be a $100 off. The scary part is that he had the name of our Dr. and the name of our front office admin coordinator. We must pull together to stop this immediately before poor, hardworking "American" citizens get scammed anymore! Be on alert people.

We got a call from this number and my receptionist took it. Same line of requesting a cancellation of an online yellow page add. He gave her a cencellation number and she didn't think anything of it. I knew that I had not spoken to anyone regarding yellow pages advertising, tried to called back and did not get an answer. He called back and when I answered he hung up. He mentioned to my receptionist that there would be an invoice and cancellation notice. Since we did not agree to anything, how can we owe them money? Is there anyway to protect ourselves in the future?

They have been calling several days in a row now.  No one answers, which I guess is caused by computer delay.
Once it went to voice mail and all I heard was someone cursing into the phone.

I registered again with the National Do Not Call registry, which is now permenant!

I have been receiving calls on my business line for the past few days from a "BRYAN RUSSELL" with the number 305 434-7047. I do not answer as I do not know a Bryan Russell. They never leave a message. After reading everyone's posts here, I decided today I would answer the call and hopefully put an end to these calls. Well, wouldn't you know it...when I pick up the phone, I can tell it's someone in an office with a headset on cuz I can hear the other "callers" in the background. I answer, and the only response I get is some chick singing to herself into the phone! UNREAL!!! She prob has on the headset and her iPod plugged into the other ear and wasn't even paying attention to whether someone answers her calls or not!!!  I will def try to answer again when this Bryan Russell calls! UNBELIEVABLE....what a waste of time....

A man with a foreign accent called our office (caller ID Bryan Russell), wanting to confirm our Yellow Pages cancellation. He asked to speak to my boss, who was unavailable. When I told him so, he then said, "Then are you available to write down this cancellation number?"

I asked how long ago my boss put in the request for cancellation. He said three weeks, which was another red flag. I said, "No, I'm not available to confirm this, as he never discussed it with me."

He said he'd call back later. Oh, no you don't! When I tried to get his number so we could "call him back", he just hung up on me.

I have never spoken to a person at this number but cannot wait until I do.

This number keeps calling me.  I don't get an a live body, but it is annoying to receive calls with no one on
 the line.  My caller id shows Bryan Russell and when I call the number back, I get no connection.  Never say yes or acknowledge this number

This jerk calls and informs us that we will receive a $600 bill. After refusing, he calls back and talks right over your refusal. Ignores orders to do not call again. I have my DAs number ready to refer him when he calls again.

This number calls me 3 to 5 times a day at our office and hangs up each time when we answer. It is maddening. We are trying to think of how to stop this and would appreciate any suggestions.

Same Indian guy called today in the afternoon, asking to speak to the doctor.  He also knew my first and last name (although he totally mispronounced it).  I told him the doctor wasn't in and asked who he was with.  He said "Obama The Great you idiot!" and hung up on me.
