They have been calling almost everyday for the last two months. They leave a message asking for someone who does not live here. It says "if you are ______ _______, please press 1.  We have lived here for 28 yrs. and have always had this phone number, so I presumed that they just dial remotely for kicks?
Very annoying!

I get a call from this # everyday!  The don't leave a message.

They called me today and hung up and didn't leave a message.

This number was doing the call and hang up thing to me as well. Today I finally got someone to answer with the name of the company: Malcolm Gerald, Chicago. They claimed that they have removed my number... We will see.

call your phone service. if its at&t they will tell you how to block calls

These people call me everyday while I'm in school. They say thank you for calling *drown out* agency. If you know your file number please put in now. Press 0 for operator (then some guy says something I can't make out) then the phone connects me somewhere else. I'm getting pissed off.

Well have to remember to now that they never provided any service that was or is even owed to them either should ask them "What Service Did You Provide that the Debt is Owed to You" ? you know in an earlier post someone said something regarding "old debits" well there are Statutes of Limitations on Debits and it varies state by state and may be surprised how short of time the Statute of Limitations is in some particular states may want to check internet for them

Call me all diff. times of the day and night and have never left a message. I don't owe anyone anything. Why won't they leave a message if they are really trying to collect from people???

Needless to say, I hung up immediately.  In checking who the number belongs to, it is Portfolio Recovery, apparently calling about a credit card that I have not had in years and that is way past the Statute of Limitations for the state of Texas.

Portfolio Recovery...apparently now resorting to tactics to make it look like a personal call is coming in.  Name on caller ID was  Gerald     M  but number is for Portfolio.  Should have realized it was a sleazeball collection agency calling about a credit card that I have not had for years and that is past the Statute of Limitations.

The called saying they were collecting debt for a hospital er visit. I had gotten a bill from them a few days earlier and she told me i was going to collections if i didn't give her a receipt # from when I payed it. The amount doesn't jive with the actual bill i got from the hospital and the visit was only a month ago. They don't send you to collections that soon.

This number repeatedly calls my number looking for my mother, who has spottless credit. Her name is on the phone bill, though, so I'm assuming that's where they got her name from. They called twice- the first time I stupidly gave my name, and the second time, I thought it was my friend calling from Chicago, and told them she wasn't here. It is nothing but a scam, and I'm pretty sure I got on their calling list by getting a free wakeup call. After I got that, I started getting all sorts of calls- free cruises, packages that needed to be picked up, all sorts of things. Then, these started. I only used that service once, and I wish they'd stop, because it's really starting to frighten me a  bit.

Called me yesterday on my new cell phone that I haven't give anyone yet... don't know what they want, don't have any debt.

I received a call on my cell about a bill in 2004 from this same phone number today. The man said he works for Malcolm S Gerald and Associates collection agency and wanted me to pay an amount and I could use my bank account I said no then he wanted to me to use credit card or debit card I said no then e-mail I said no. I look this agency up on Internet and see all these calls. Not sure what to think.
The number he gave me to contact him was 800-265-3796 and 312-922-6500 He offered to settle this really old bill for a third of what the bill was suppose to originally be. I contacted original company and they had no knowledge of any collection they said they would have attempted to collect numerous times before ever turning over to collection agency!

have been receiving calls on cell phone, rings twice then hangs up.  Grow up and call the correct number or person your looking for.

Caller keeps calling. Today it was ansewered but there was no ansewer on their end.
