This is BoA. They sent me a warning letter about my ATM being compromised and this was a follow up call.

This is a Scam: The BoA Fraud Dept has confirmed to me this morning that this is a Phishing Scam. If you have any problems, call BoA at 1.800.432.1000, and report these guys.

I am a BOA customer and I have had the same calls as others. The only thing is I do not answer any call that does not have a caller ID that I would know. We go information from a local credit union that their Harbor Freight had been hacked and if you had shopped there they had your information. If that is a common link of the other people’s telephone calls you might want to change your card numbers at BOA.

this is a legitimate call from Bank of America. It's an automated call concerning a recent call to to their automated call center. It just is a confirmation call to you about the activity.  If it was not you doing so, they ask that you call them to report that it wasn't you.  TOTALLY LEGIT !

I know this number is fake or fraud because I just received a call from it a few moments ago. I never pick up calls unless I know who they are. I received the same voice-mail from BOA (Though it took near 15-30 seconds before an automated voice was heard.)

The voice was 'thanking' me for telling them that I was going to be traveling within the next few days so not to find anything from with my card. HOWEVER. I am not a member of this bank. And doing research this number is known for a high spam alert. Never trust numbers unless it is you calling from their direct line. Just looking out for anyone who may get scammed.

It doesn't matter if the bank is open or not since they have nothing to do with your social security number. If they also got your bank account number that is a matter for BofA to change your account. But they can do nothing about your SS #. I'm not sure what you can do about that.

There is an internet service that supposedly protects you from ID theft and will reimburse you if they can't fix it.

This number called me today. I didn't answer it but it came up Bank of America on caller ID and it is the number on the back of my ATM card. I recieved an e-mail from BOA that said that some were that I had used my card had a security breach and to be safe they were sending me a new card. I recieved my card yesterday and I am sure they were calling today to make sure I recieved it. This is a real call from Bank of America and not a scam!!!!

I called a text and a call from a 315-724-4022 and gave them some info before I thought this wasn't right so I hung up.  I called the 800-432-1000 and she said they didn't have that number as a valid in the bank.  I do see that number on my card but did call the bank back and they said that several people are getting these "fishing" calls

I also called the number back and asked "Evan" for the branch number and address and he just kept saying that welcome over and over then covered the phone then came back and said "thanks for being a valued customer" and hung up on me so this number is taking you to a different number

I just received a call from 315-724-4022.  The number 315-724-4022 is the phone number on bank of america's website for their international fraud department BUT when you answer the call it states that their is fraudulent activity on your bank of america atm/debit card.  The automated message states for you to call another number of 877-833-5617 WHICH IS NOT BANK OF AMERICA'S NUMBER.  THIS IS A FRAUD.  I called Bank of America to confirm and they stated that the number given is not theirs.  The scam is when you call the fraudulent 877-833-5617 and enter all of your information from your atm/debit card, social security number, expiration date and the code on the back.  It is then collected by the scammer and used else where with all of your correct information that you just provided by touch dialing it in to the key pad.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! THIS IS A SCAM!

Just got a call from this number showing on caller ID. They stated they were from BofA fraud dept. She stated she was investigating fraudulent charges on acct. then proceeded to ask for our online pass code. BofA never will ask for your online pass code! We proceeded to end the conversation immediately. We then contacted BofA directly and were informed it was a scam! This number is on the bottom of BoA card for members to call when outside US! Beware of calls coming in from this number and (877) 248-6276! You can always decline to answer any questions you feel questionable and end conversation by letting them know you will follow up yourself.

This IS BofA. They called my house phone but I didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up. The same # called my cell phone so I answered. [Ironically I was on this website looking up the phone # when my cell rang, lol!] She didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary; last four digits of debit card, cvc# and exp date.  The transactions she wanted to verify were legit ones from the previous evening.  My son used my card to get his college text books. The lady told me the names of the online store(s) and the amounts.
