- maggieI got a call from Bank of America about a debit card. I don't do business with Bank of America nor did I ever have an account or card with them. It was a recorded message and left the above number. I called the number and they now want me to pay for the call. They have here many times and I want it stopped.
- Caller: Bank of America
- BretI got a call from this number today, didn't know who it was. I called the number back and a message came on telling me I would have to accept overseas charges to continue the call. There was nothing said about it being from any bank, plus I don't have any bank of America credit cards so I don't believe this is not a scam like some of the poster here are saying. So just be careful dealing with this number, I believe it is a scam from someone overseas.

- Gary| 1 replyI received a call from this number and an automated/recorded message identifying the caller as Bank of America ATM fraud services. The call said that my ATM card was being canceled because of a data breach at a retailer where I had used the card, that a new card had been mailed to me, and that I had not yet activated the new card. I was traveling, so I had not received a new card. I drove to a BoA branch office and spoke to them. They confirmed that the call was from them, and the other information. While I was there I also met several other people in the waiting area who had received the same call, who had already spoken to the bank and confirmed the call legitimacy, and who were waiting to have a new temporary card issued. I think the number is legitimate.

- StevenI received a new debit card in the mail that I didn't order. I actived it and this afternoon I got a phone call from this number from New York. I didn't answer the call. I looked it up and seen some bad comments about this phone. I then called the Bank of America customer service to verify that they did send me the new card as that I didn't order it. He confirmed that they did send it to me that no one was trying to fraud me. He told me that one of the companies that I used it at was comprised and they deactivated my old number to a new number. But he didn't tell me which company but I wish that I asked him. But they usually don't ask you for your full ssn just your last four. It is nice to have a bank that looks out for you. I know that the bank doesn't send you emails but only contact you through Your account on their website. But if I do get a call from this number and they ask me for my full ssn I will not give it to them.
- Caller: Bank of America
- JohnThe call went to voice mail without a message. I blocked my number and called the number and got a female voice recording saying that it was an overseas number with a collect call. Hung up and added the number to my blocked call list.
- HfI received a call too they did a copy of my debit card they try to use it but the bank knew and stop the payment declined ! They are on eye already they will be in jail soon
- JI just got the call. I looked on the back of my BOA card and this was the exact number listed to call them collect from out of the country. So I called the normal 800 help number listed on the back of my card and it truly was BOA trying to contact me.

- Old Timah| 2 repliesI think this is a bunch of kids playing with the telephone. I got a call from this number a few days ago and finally remembered to look it up. When I answered the phone this young lady asked me of the refrigerator was running. Since I just had pulled an ice cold adult beverage out of it I told her it was running. She then proceeded to tell me I should go catch it! Well I hung the phone up and went to the store for ice. Can't be too careful, I'm keeping my cold ones cold in the cooler now in case the refrigerator does decide to take off on me. With the internet and all I wouldn't be suprised....

Don't give in without a fight! - JOEYIt's legit! It's BofA calling to remind that they sent out a new debit card and to active soon.
They been calling me for couple weeks but I never pick up. They will leave an automatic message that last like a minute and a half. The message is silent up until the first minute, then the voicemail begins.- Caller: Bank Of America
