They called me 15 TIMES this week while I was on holidays, left a bunch of blank voicemail messages

These guys are con artists.  I called them back on 403 770 0529 as the number on the call display does not get answered.  They told me all they do is market surveys but when I  pressed they admitted callers get entered into a daily draw for some knives or such like.  Pressing them even more they then admit that the "one lucky winner each day" gets the prize delivered to them along with a demonstration of their air purifier system - finally I get them to admit they are selling something.  I kept the guy on the phone for a good 30 minutes asking him dumb ass questions just to waste his time like his company has to me over the last few days.  Clearly they are trading in an unethical way and this company needs to be taken to task - but they are probably just staying on the right side of bad laws.  It is so frustrating!!

I was given another number where apparantly a manager would be - it was 403 214 1446 and the name I was given (couldn't understand it completely as it was Asian) had the same surname as Johnny Chahal the company owner.

I have another concern about this company - they call saying they are conducting market research and specifically say "don't hang up I am not trying to sell you anything".  Of course, they are not doing this for nothing and the ultimate goal is to sell you an air purifier system.  It is no coincidence that on 1st September the new National Do Not Call List comes into effect whereby telemarketing firms have to subscribe to the DNC list costing them over $11,000 annually just to find out who they are not allowed to call.  BUT, companies who carry out market surveys are still allowed to contact homeowners who have registered on the do not call list.  So before this new national privacy protection law comes into effect dodgy firms like Breath E-Z are already exploiting loopholes.  They don't care about ethics or you - they want to get your details so they can harass you out of your hard earned cash.  The people who work their phones know the scam so don't feel sorry for them - give them a hard time and if you have the time, keep them on the phone as long as you can without passing on your details - this way they will have less time to prey on other unsuspecting victims!

Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from a lady, speaking poor English, from this phone number, requesting to speak to the 'man of the house'.  Being annoyed with another potential fraudulent call yesterday, I asked the lady why she called my number. She said that she was doing a survey. I told her that we didn't know each other, there's no reason she should invade my privacy, and that I'd call the police if she would disturb me again.

To block the call, after hanging up my phone, I dialed *77. This should block all calls from their number in the future.  Make sure that was the last call, without any other incoming or outgoing calls made in between.

If you wish to cancel, dial *87.

I've read every post, and I have the same problem, but I want to [***] about it too! Don't try phoning them back, they won't anwser, and I took the survey...nothing came out of it so far, but they call at inconvienient times. If they call, tell them to hold on for a minute, go away for 5, pick up phone, ask if they could hold just ooooone more minute...go away for ever! Ha.

I do not understand the significance of the interviewees job career (rather then job environment) in relation to an air quality marketing survey that is only 5 questions in length.

I just called back on the number 403-770-0529 (as suggested higher on the page). I asked if I was talking to Breathe E-z and the woman answered "why do you want to know?" HA! Well, I was direct, STOP CALLING. With baby on board in two weeks there is no freaking way I will have them call me 3 times a day! I told her to get me off their calling list and gave her my phone number without any name. Let's see if that worked...If it still doesn't work, I'll probably send them the extra dirty diapers my little one will be making because of them!

We had these guys call before. My husband did their survey and they called back to offer us a knife set. Of course he believed them and arranged a time for them to come over to do their demonstration... I wasn't happy. Anyway, they never showed up. Then, they STILL kept calling our number! I called the number 403-770-0529 and asked if it was Breathe-EZ Homes, and the lady on the other end of the line sounded confused, and seemed to admit that they were Breathe-EZ, but then said the company name is BDMO instead. I waited a few minutes, blocked my caller ID from showing up on their phone, and when a different lady answered all I said was "I want to remove my number from your call list" and she was quite nice about it, and said she would remove it from their automatic dialing system. She asked how many calls we received from them, I told her multiple times and that we already did the survey. She apologized and said she would remove the number. I would suggest keeping on trying, if the first person you get isn't helpful, try again. We'll see if it works!

We've received calls from this number for weeks and have never answered.  We were tired of getting their calls esp around supper hour so I found this site.  Thank you everyone for your info..  I called them at 403-770-0529 and asked them to put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST, and they guaranteed that our number would no longer be called.  Thanks Fred.  I will post an update in the following weeks.

well, I got the same scam from these guys too, so just reported them to the BBB.  If we get enough complaints on file regarding their dishonest business practices, a bad rating will hopefully help them to STOP this practice, and show others that search BBB what they're all about.\

Recommend you also post complaints... the more complaints, the lower their rating will be.

They're listed on the calgary BBB website as "Breath E-Z Homes" ...

Got a call from them... Out of curiosity I answered their questionnaire & they called me back a few days later.  Good news?  They are probably legit, a company called Casa Buena/Breathe-EZ Homes, based out of Calgary (4014 Macleod Trail S.E.).  Bad news?  They are high-pressure vaccum cleaner salespeople, trying to get you to buy the Majestic & Defender vacuum cleaner & air purifier systems made by a company called Filter Queen (which is why they want to know what kind of environment you work in, if you have pets &/or allergies).  Basically, they entice you with delivering a prize to your home (knife set vs. vacation package) if you'll let them come & do a vacuum demo and tell them what you think of their product.  From a few online stories I found about other peoples' experiences with this company, the vacuum is excellent (but very expensive, at least $1200), but the salespeople are pushy knuckleheads & hard to get rid of once you let them in to your house.  Not worth the trouble.

Just got another call from this company,then looked the number up on Google with the words"Calgary Telephone Scams",and came across this page!
This lady called me with an accent,and she said "This is not telemarketing,just a survey"But she was asking me funny questions,and then she asked for my name and assumed I was married and asked for my "husband's name".I told her I wasn't comfortable giving the names and she BEGGED me,she said please Ma'am please!sooo many times,so I just hung up,because she wouldn't stop.I was really annoyed,and didn't like the questions she asked.
I called the number back and it was busy,then I blocked my number and called back,and got through,but it went to message and I hung up.
after that I saw a number in one of these postings,where it said there would be a manager,(thankyou!),and got through to a lady and she answered with saying"Breathe E-Z Homes..."I talked to her and said I didn't like the wierd questions and please take me off your calling list,and she said no problem,and I told her the lady begged me for my name and she said,oh,our call center is based in the Phillipines,and I'll talk to that lady who you talked to about it,and tell her not to beg people,she's just very persuasive,hmmm...anyway,hope they don't call again!

I was just called by these people.  Same questions about air quality, spouse and credit cards. The woman I spoke with could not answer my questions about the organization and seemed to start to panic when I didn't want to answer any more of her questions.  She begged me to stay on the line.."just a few ore questions, please, sir." I used the 403-770-0529 number posted above.  I reached a rather polite person with an east indian accent.  I told him to take me off their call list, he promised I would receive no further calls.  We'll see...

He said they were doing "market research"...uh-huh, oh really?

I have reported the number (403)770-0522 to CRIME STOPPERS.  I have had enough of their phone calls--all day, every day!!!  Hopefully they will be  harassed by Crime Stoppers for this intrusion on my (and everyone else)privacy.

I will also report this to BBB.  It has to stop!

I just received the "you won a daily prize" call, and they then proceeded to coax my address out of me so that they could "deliver" the prize.  Whenever I asked for more info about the company, I got nothing.  So I decided to google them, came across this page and now I see what a waste of time this really is!  I tried calling back the number they called me at, and of course it didn't go through.  So I looked up their Calgary number, asked them to cancel any appointment that was made because I dont want their product (I already told them during the survey that I have no pets, no allergies, and no carpet -- what the @#$^ do I want a vacuum for?).  The response?  I was told they would cancel my appointment, and promptly hung up on before they even asked for the appointment details.  Figures.

I got the same call from them regarding the survey. It is the same person that called everyone else.  I didn’t pickup couple of times and was annoyed so I answered some of the questions. Couple of days after, that same lady called me back for additional info'. I told her I am not interested in providing any additional info'. From that time I stopped getting the phone call, but I kept getting the faxes. I try to fax them back without any success. From those faxes, the ID shows BREATHE E Z HOME. I called 1-403-214-1446 and told them to take my number off from their list. I hope they stop. Everyone should ask them to remove the number and should report to BBB should they still call. I will report them if they call me next time.

I hope that this will stop the calls.  WOW...this sure is a lot of trouble to have some peace and quiet.

I just got called by the 403-770-0522 # and it's an unlisted unpublished number and I work for the phone company. Companies like these will be done once the National Do Not Call list goes into effect the end of September 2008. I called the 403-770-0529 # and they answered "SBDD" and wanted to know why I was calling.

I hate these companies esp. when I pay for an unlisted unpublished number.
