This number called my house once on a Saturday night but no one was on the other line when I answered.  I "googled" the number and found this stream of annoyed people.  The number called back on Monday and said who they were and that they wanted to conduct a survey.  Nowadays that's a ploy to enter you into a fake draw, phone you back and say that you have won and then try and sell you their products.  I immediately told the man I did not want to partake.  he continued to try to ask me questions and I repeated "I do not wish to partake"  and I specifically told him to remove me from his calling list.  No more calls so far and if they do I will report them to the CRTC.  Good luck people.

I asked the fellow if the survey was for a profit making company; if so, i would be happy to complete their survey if they paid me to do it.
I also said that my number was listed on the "Do Not Call" List and that if they called again, i would report them.
The fellow mentioned the draw for the survey to which i asked if he heard what i said, he fumbled.
I used to just hang up on this company, but this time, i figured, the more time i spent talking to him, the less time he would have to call someone else.

These guys are advertising on the national job bank for 2 different positions in the calgary area, thats why I googled them and found this.  The job seemed unreal, 18/hr for speaking and writing english!  not much on the details of what type of job duties they would need, but these posts have shed more of a light on what they are looking for, no thanks!!

They called our house about 20 times and asked for the address and then asked how long of a drive it was from downtown CALGARY, I thought that was a little weird, so be careful!!

They are currently conducting "hiring" at the days inn calgary.  There group interviews seem sketchy to be honest and they expect three days of your time with no pay.  A little bit ridiculous if you ask me.  They barely explain the job.  After reading these posts I will not be returning!  Thank you! I will do my best to let others know about this.

They called me with the guise that they where doing a home survey.  I was polite and answered the questions.  Then I get a call a couple of days later saying I won their daily prize of knives or a vacation package.  I gave my address for the prize and they said they would send someone to drop off the prize.  In return I should listen to a presentation about home air systems.  I thought, "ok, quick presentation, get my prize and done"
The guy showed up and would not give me my prize.  He said that i had to listen to the presentation first and it would take over an hour.
This is a SCAM.  If they call you and say that you have won a prize, it should not be contingent on a high pressure sales presentation. Avoid the hassle and tell them to [***]!

The same company using a different phone number (403) 214-1446 is putting meesages in mail boxes which read "FINAL NOTICE"  -- IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED, and then if you call the number, they say you've been selected for a free gift and they want to delivery personnal and they talk about air quality.  The BBB, and Telus and the "No Call" Registary should certainly be told about them , and maybe the police if they're asking really odd questions.

Just got a call from them too. They asked for the "Man of the house". So I said "One moment please" and just put him on hold. These a guys aren't very patient! He only waited around for 1 minute. I guess they don't like it when we waste their time...

i also got a ton of calls from these guys. i answered, and did the survey not thinking much of it. they never asked me any questions regarding credit cards or anything, and then i got a call back saying i won a prize. so i gave them the address, still not thinking much of it... i wish i would have found this website before i even answered the call. im just gonna tell them to [***] tomorrow. or else i will just pretend im not home.... did anyone ever actually get the vacation prize or anything??

Kept getting calls and found this site...Fred "Aug 17 2008" listed: 403-770-0529 as their office number. It worked. I called and asked to be put on their dnc list. Man was very polite but I told him I will call the BBB if they call be again. They had called before started a survey about air quality etc and then asked about household income. I said I didn't feel comfortable answering and said goodbye when he pushed on I hung up.

Does anyone think maybe they're getting a copy of your voice? I have recently submitted movie ideas over the internet, and they could get the rights to the idea by pretending you gave permission. The reason I think this (slightly) is because everytime they call they try to make me say "hello" twice
ie... I say "Hello?" they reply "Hello?" and then wait for me to talk again.
Food for thought, I always hang up after their "Hello?", well once I made it as far as the "are you the man of the house?" question before I hung up.

I got the same call. and apparently. i "won" a trip for 2. they wanted my mailing address to mail information on it and then wanted to set time to come to my house? Find it really odd. anways the lady there did leave the number, i did call the number back, it did go thru but still find it to be a scam.

Has anyone gone as far as giving your name and address, we were told that we had won 1 of 2 prizes,after a long conversation, stimulated by the caller we accepted to receive a prize, stupid move on our part. They said the prize would be delivered tomorrow by a person that would have questions? After reading the comments in this forum, I would be interested to see if anyone else has gone this far, and what we can expect. Appreciate any info possible Thanks

With reference to my last post I have acquired more information concerning the Tel # 403-770-0522. This morning after talking to the Consumer Protection dept of BC and they advised me to call "Phone Busters", tel # 1-888-495-8501. They are aware of the concerns associated with the 403-770-0522, they suggested that I call Govt Blocker tel # 1-866-580-3625. These people are directly involved with system that tel users could call to have their number blocked. After explaining our situation the agent said that there is already a process on-going about Tel # 403-770-0522. I asked him to block the two tel number I had that this Calgary firm uses. He said he had already done that , he also offered that the 2 numbers I gave him were already under investigation he further said that  they have an additional 25 at least so all numbers were blocked from calling us. The last call I feel has finally put a stop to this fraud. CTRC are aware of this problem and working toward a solution.(Hopefully) I would advise other people with the same concern call the Govt Blocker first. Hope this helps.. JB

Called and asked for the man of the house I said your speaking to a man and then they started into the speil... I stopped him and said my name is on the do not call list and you are breaking the DNCL rules asked his Name and to speak to the manager... They hung up on me.... Good thing we have a Do Not Call List.

These guys called me today to verify my appointment for them to bring my prize I had won, I agreed and the guy showed up with 2 HUGE boxes and a giant duffel bag with stuff in it too... for whatever the demonstration was for i guess... since my significant other was not at home, the guy said he had to reschedule cuz we both had to be here. so he left, with all his junk, and did not even give me the prize i had apparently won...

The people in charge have the surname Chahal.

They are pretending to do a survey about indoor air quality but in reality they are doing presales - trying to identify prospects for a vacuum cleaner.  They are calling it a "survey" in an attempt to circumvent the CRTC's Do Not Call List (DNCL) regulations.

They call from both 403-770-0522 and 780-447-2701.  They make their calls using VOIP (via the Internet) and their call centre is supposedly in the Phillipines.

They have a shoddy reputation with the Calgary Better Business Bureau; you can read details here:

If/when you get a call from this company, just INTERRUPT the survey spiel and DEMAND that the caller give you the name / number of the person in charge (per CRTC rules).  Then TELL the caller to place your number on their company's internal DO NOT CONTACT list.
