I received 5 calls in one day from this number.  The person says he is from windows, when I said what is the company name he said windows.  I asked who makes windows he replied Microsoft he proceeded to tell me that my computer is sending his company messages - many messages and is my computer on now.  I asked him for his phone number and the first time he hangs up the next time he calls we go through the same questions and answers and then he gives me a phone number that is missing numbers - I even gave him many times to get the number right.  I finally hung up.  This call comes usually twice a week when my husband is home.  Today I received 5 calls from this number and the same person with the same thick (Indian) accent speaks.

I had the same thing told him if he had money send it on down . if he had my number and worked for us gov then he must have my address... how gullible do they  think we are???

yes he was in a call center and said his name was larry green and his east indian ish accent he was hard to understand. I was amused for about 1 minute. Then I was mad!

SCAMMMMMM!!! east indian accent in a call center.. says his name was Larry  Green...  hahahahahahaha so  funny NOT!!! Leave my phone alone. Said he was US gov. grant dept. and said three different amounts.. started at 10000.  i think and then 7,000.and by   the time he was asking for my address he said 8k so I told him to just send it to my phone number or address if he's really with the gov. he has both. He hung up and they are still  calling with several similar numbers.

tn from Canada claiming they work for grant dept. located in Washington ... because I pay my bills, don't own government, never been in trouble with the law I was selected to receive this money .... this is my cell phone no. but the had my first and last name ... they did ask for credit card or checking info but i said i didnt have any ... they said its ok they can deposit money thru western union by me calling financial management dept ... a 202 657 5954 number ... what a scam what worries me is my cell is not under my name so how would they get info ...

They also called me, said I qualified for a huge grant, so I played along until he told me I needed to send him $200 so he could release the funds. Wanted me to send it to mthe US government .......... In INDIA!!!!

got a call rom  416 364 1111 saying they were Microsoft and I needed to fet on my]phone
immediately and they would help me solve a serious virus.  This was at 6:30 A>M>

Got a call from "Mellisa" who said it was regarding my computer or lap top.  I just hung up, but I wish I had continued the conversation.  It might have been fun.  My friend believed the caller and followed his instructions and totally screwed up her computer.  He sold her a "fix" program and she gave him her credit card number!  Luckily we have a computer guru here in Hot Springs Village who recognized what had happened and got her money back.  These guys never give up!  Another friend of mine has a very loud whistle next to her phone, and when they call she blows the whistle as loud as she can, hoping to really hurt their eardrum!!  Think I'll try that next time.

Who calls from this number

This number called me saying he was my 18 year old grandson. I fell for that part because he sounded like him. He said we had a bad connection and would call me back. When he called back I realized it wasn't my grandson at all! Said he was in jail. I asked him if he wanted to go to jail for harrassment and he started to initiate terroristic threats!!! I had to call the sheriff in our county because he stated he knew my name and where I lived and was going to take care of me using some absolutely vulgar language and threats. He actually told me my correct address and name. I am 54 years old and have NEVER heard such garbage all in one phone call. The sheriff took the number and is going to write a report. DO NOT fall for this it is a scam to get money I assure you!!!!!!!!

Harassing call from unknown number.  Number is on Do Not Call List!

Got a call at 7:08 AM from this number and caller had a foreign accent and stated said they were with WINDOWS and  that my computer had a virus and was sending out huge amounts of data that was infected with malware and spyware.   Caller asked me to log on to my computer and they would help me remove the virus and restore my computers health.   I told them that I was still in bed it was 7:00 AM and I would not be going downstairs to log on.  They told me they would call back.   Glad I didn't fall for this scam.  

I have got calls from these people each time a different number. They keep asking for someone named teresa but i tell them its not me but they keep harassing me. What should I do?

This number called me yesterday. Gentleman with Indian accent said he was calling from Microsoft, something about a problem with the way my computer was acting on the Internet. I told him I use Linux (which I do) and hung up. I'm sure he would have been happy to fix my "problem" for a bunch of money. Jerks.

Caller called our cell phone saying we needed to add money to our cell account.  Press one to pay with a credit card or two to pay with echeck. Sounded like it was coming from the cell phone provider but it's just another scam.

I too just got a call from a man with an Indian sounding accent. Not the best connection but sounded like he was in a call center.  He said my computer was infected. . .  I asked which computer-he said 'Windows computer'.  I asked again and got same reply.  I told him that was not a type of computer!
I expected him to tell me an IP address or something better.  I just told him he had the wrong number and hung up!

Got the call from 416 364 1111 they said they were from windows and I had just got a virus and they would help me with it. I asked who they were calling and they said Mr and gave me the last name of my girl friend. She is not married so I told them I am not that person. I knew it was a scam so I told them I had no computer and did not know how to use one, and hung up. No call back yet and maybe never since they think I have no computer. The person sounded like he was from India, the number comes from Canada. If you get a call from this number do not give any information to them.

I received a call from this number earlier today.  I was not home and they left no message.  I checked here and after reading the posts, I received another call.  I decided to answer to see what they would say.  The person sounded like they were from India and said they were from the "Windows Support Team".  They told me they have noticed a lot of activity on my machine over the last couple of weeks indicating I had a virus.  I responded by saying I use a Mac. He wasn't too happy.  He asked why I was listening to him and hung up.
