Ontario Souce Inc., 6175 Hwy#7 unit 6...watch out for this scam! - malso received call yesterday.. it was a good pitch had me going until I looked them up and saw

- IAngReceived a call this morning, said exactly the same thing. I was one of the 40 of the 9000 people who won a prize (includes Furniture Set, $1500 cash, 17 inch Laptop, LCD, and 3Days/2 nights accomodation in 25 destination). But in order to claim the prize, I have to be present with my partner at 6175 Highway 7 Unit 6 Woodbridge, Ontario. The guy (his name is Connor) wanted me to confirm an appointment in order to give me a claimant prize number. Since I dont drive, I need to confirm the appointment with my friend/cousin but he was unavailable. Connor was very persistent, I asked what number can I contact them at. He said he will call me instead and his availability is limited from 8am to 1pm. This is a scam. Good thing I saw this discussion thread.

- KLI just received a call today )01/03/11 and they told me the exact same thing. I ask for the name of the the person in the ballot but they only gave an Inital and last name (probably got from the phone book. So they told me that we won in the ballot we filled out, and that we are eligable to get one of the 5 prizes that mentioned. I was already skeptical but I let them finished on their explanation. They told me that me and my husband have to come and claim the prizes and that I need to get the confirmation number when I come to their address: 6175 Hwy 7 Unit #6, Woodbridge, ON...I pretended I was ok with it so they ask for my name and my husband's name. They told me a lady at the door will verify all of the informations and that there will be a paper we need to fill out with the exact same question as the ballot that we apperently filled out sometime on October...I know I didn't filled out any! But any way, This Alex guy gave me his telephone number and extention number...He is insistant that we come tomorrow at the arrange time and not a minute late. So I just said ok...then I searched in the internet if it is a scam and I guess, it is not true that a few people are being selected since there are lots of questions being asked about this company (If it really exist). Has anyone actually attended??? Just wanted to know what is up with this and they also told me not to bring our kids and that it will only take 1 1/2 hrs the max and no more.

- StaceyJust got the call from Ontario Source Inc A.K.A Premium Buyers Club, Website www.pbcinc.ca and locted at 6175 Hwy 7 unit 6. They were so rude but of course I had to kill them with kindness to get the info I wanted. You would think they would be a little more professional when trying to get you to attend a time share. What ever you do, do not offer any info as they didnt have the correct info for me and did everything for me to confirm and correct their mistakes. I did not make their job any easier and pointed out to them if this was legit they would not try so hard to give away their money.

Thanks for this site I won't be going to this place!
Thanks everybody for posting....when I ask for a website to review the site, the guy told me that they don't have it because they just started a new business in Ontario; but (based on this site) they have been doing this promotion for a few months. Also, only couples, no children....very interesting...what a scam!

- Ridiculous!Received a call from Ontario Source (Stores?) International today. They said to come pick up one of the 5 prizes ($1500, 17" laptop, furniture set, 42" TV, or vacations) at 6175 Highway 7, Unit #6, Vaughan, Ontario. They gave me a PIN number to claim my prize, and asked to come with my spouse. The manager was Max, and his phone number was 905 754 5163. BEWARE, IT'S A SCAM !!!
- Sasha| 2 repliesI got the same call couple of days ago. Didn't check the phone number they called from, but they said to call back to 905-754-5163. Manager Max Richards with a heavy accent. He invited me to claim my prize. I was granted one of the 5 prizes:
- $1500
- furniture set
- 17" laptop
- 42" TV
- two night stay in a hotel at one of several destinations
He said they were not a timeshare company but discounter of home furnishing and electronics and need word of mouth advertising to promote the company. The rest was the same story as for the all of you:
- Christmas time ballot at some shopping mall (which I don't remember but sounded possible)
- Needed to confirm I was 29 -65 age, over $60K household income, married.
- I was one of 60 winners in Ontario.
- 6175 Hwy 7 & Unit 6 in Woodbridge for prize pickup (Hwy7/Hwy27).
- Must schedule a time to pick up your prize and bring your spouse (insisted on bringing a spause)
- No kids or pets
- no purchase need, just come to claim the prize
First I taught to go and see what's that all about, but after I saw all your comments I called and canceled my appointment. I just didnt want to waste that much time. I must say that Max was quite polite and didn't bother me too much.- Caller: Ontario Source Inc.

The same exact details ( prizes and address) except new names. Kevin was the name I was given and the phone number is 905-754-5163
It's [***]!!! - Good for a laughI got a call on Sunday, which is odd. Don't remember the dude's name, Indian accent thought. He said I filled out a ballot on December 17th. The only store I was in on December 17th was Ikea and I didn't fill out any ballot there. Neither did my wife.
Dude then passed me on to his manager, also heavy Indian accent. Somehow, the phone call was disconnected. The Call display had said "UNKNOWN CALLER" so I knew something was up. I quickly googled the address he gave me and found this site.
Guy called back about 6 or 7 times. Finally, my wife picked up the phone and just left it on the table.
"Hello........hello........Mr. Smith...........hello.......hello". It was actually quite humourous.
Big Scam, people. Don't be fooled.- Caller: Ontario Source

- JoanneI got the same call just now (Jan. 20, 2011)
The same exact details ( prizes and address) except new names. Kevin with a heavy Indian accent told me that I or my husband filled out a ballot on December 17th. I don't remember I ever done this.
He then passed me on to his manager, also heavy Indian accent. He explained to me the same thing (well, basically reading from their own script VERY FAST). I quickly told him to stop reading from his script and told him I don't want any association with this gift opportunity. Good thing I was in front of the computer and found this site. So he hung up...

- annoyed| 2 repliesI got the same call from Ontario Source Inc. I have received similar calls over the years but today was the first time I took it upon myself to search the Internet. Caller ID displayed "No name & number available." (I should have known better than to answer it) A guy with very thick accent told me that I won a prize which I filled out a ballot in a mall in November (I know I didn't). I have to come to their office located at 6175 Hwy 7, Unit #6, Woodbridge to draw 1 prize out of 5. He asked if I am married and age category. Then, when he asked our household income was over 60K, I said no, at which time he asked how much. I refused to answer it since it's none of his business. he said he will talk to his manager and call back. But he didn't.

- Anonymous replies to annoyed| 1 replyThey called me today January 20th 2011. The company name they gave me was
"Premium Source International" or "Premium Source Incorporated"
Caller ID was blocked and the number they gave me to call them back was 9057545163
I asked them for a website and they told me their company was new and they did not have one yet; it would come out in a couple of weeks. Interesting, since I see posts from back in early 2010 going to the same address with different company names. Stuff like this should be made illegal. - Fixr018 replies to AnonymousYes, I just received the same information as the previous posts. I asked the man what store did I filled in and he reluctantly said, "Nike store, Centrepoint Mall". Guess what, no such animal (just checked in the Internet on the Nike Canada website; and no mention of that store on Google). I spoke with Kevin who is the Senior Manager.
BTW, this is a great service because even intelligent people can be fooled. To have the opportunity to check it out and see the concensus is powerful.
