- APThese people are the dirtiest of the dirty. I actually DID attend one of their scaminars a few months ago where my wife and I were greeted by one of ther reps and offered access to a website where we could buy all sorts of things at discounted prices - all for the price of something like $7000! During the hour or so that we were there, several planted "new customers" were honoured with applause from the staff there. At one point, a plump obese woman got up on their little stage and performed what seemed to be some sort of motivational routine designed to entice the audience into forking over their cash to these charlatans. This was up in Woodbridge. They told me that I had filled out a form at the Stretsville Bread & Honey Festival (which I may or may not have). Like I mentioned at the beginning, I attended one of their sessions a few months ago and left disgusted. I guess they are running low on prey because they called me again tonight. Please understand that the guarantee of 1 in 5 prizes is a hoax. After you sit down at a table with one of the ex-cons/crackheads/failures and refuse all of their ridiculous offers, you are escorted out to the entrance where you pick a ballot. 10 times out of 10 you will pick the vacation offer (a trip to Niagara Falls) which is another scam altogether. So, unless you are interested in seeing how such a scam is run (like I was), then do not waste your time. Stay home with your family.

Just wanted to say thank you all for posting this! I just got a call yesterday at around 5pm and told me I would have to pick it up that day at 7pm or tomorrow at 2pm or 5 pm in Woodbridge. The person who spoke to me had perfect English. Said I must earn over 50,000 dollars in order to claim the prize. I never won anything in my life, i was excited, until they emailed me the information. There was no company name, which is strange considering that most companies would want to advertise, one of the main points of giving out prizes.
Address was:
6175 Hwy 7 Unit 6
Woodbridge ON
L4H 0P6
No phone number showed on my phone the only digits that showed was 10080 which I found strange, there should be a phone number showing and the company name usually shows if it is legitimate. But note not all the time. Plus, my company has given out prizes, and we call from our company's phone to give it to the prize winner. We usually let the customer pick it up and at their own leisure time, and our phone number is not hidden from the callers. Plus we don't force them to sit through 90 minute Winners show and draw.
Plus when I said I didn't earn over 50,000 he said just lie and say that you did. Weird. I thought perhaps he was being nice, but nope, its just to get people out there and complete a quota.
Also prizes included: laptop, 42 inch t.v., $1,500 dollars, $1,000 worth of furnisher, and 7 day trip to Florida.
Anyways, people, I thought I would post this to just say that these people are still out there.
The email address this company gave me was:
pbdiscounts@gmail.com
Terry Beltre was the guy's name.
Take caution everyone, I hope this website will help others who are searching up these scammers name before actually going to their showroom.- Caller: 1 in 5 prize winner
- JB| 2 repliesI just received a call from these guys as well.
They called from the number (647) 478-8568 x700.
However, they also called from the number 10080, which is also very suspicious.
This time he said he was calling from the Toronto Awards Centre.
I spoke to a man who said his name was Kevin Ortiz, but from what I've read this is likely not a real name. He was very aggressive saying "When you gonna come pick up your prize man...you gotta come pick up your prize".
I received the call 9:30 on a Friday night and he said I have 48 hours from the time of the call to come and claim my prize. But then changed his story and said I need to be there by Saturday afternoon or they'll give it away.
He mentioned that I need to bring my spouse, and I replied I was single. He then repeatedly said "This isn't for you bro. This deal isn't for you bro".
The address given was 6175 Hwy 7, Unit 6, Woodbridge.
Needless to say, I will not be going.- Caller: Toronto Awards Centre

- Nat| 2 repliesSame story as everyone else. They called me an hour ago. Told me that I won 1 of 5 prises and I have to go to Woodbridge to claim it and listen to their offers. The only catch is that my spouse has to be there. He is currently working away from home so I got lucky and did not sign up for their scam before checking them out on this website.

- sweetchikSo I got this call last evening stating that I had won the same five prizes stated by everyone, my pick. Spoke to the manager who encouraged me to come to a 90 minute info session. He kept stressing that I am under no abligation to buy anything. I was so tempted to go, but thanks for these posts I'm saved.. Loll

- Jen| 6 repliesWas called tonight by this same company. I spoke to Julius - very nice man. Told me to come to Woodbridge for a 90 min show and then I was GUARANTEED to win one of 5 prizes.
1. 42" Flat Screen TV
2. $1500 cash
3. 17" laptop
4. 1000 gift certificate for furniture
5. 7 night stay in Florida
He said we filled out a ballet (which I believe as it had my husbands occupation on it) etc and we were chosen from many people because of how we answered the deomgraphic questions on the ballet? Apparently though through further discussion he indicated that we forgot to put our income ont he ballet and one other thing. He kept trying to ensure our income was over $50,000. While on the phone with him I googled this site to determine what was going on - thankfully!! I almost fell for it to be honest and it's hard to get me to fall for anything!!! Once I realized it was a scam I kept toying around on the phone. I was advised that my husband must attend with me and that any children under 16years could not attend. They said the 90 min presentation was about renovations on your house, credit cards etc. They said the company was called Premium Buyers Direct. The website they gave me didn't really work. http://premiumbuyersclub.com/ was the site they gave me. There is really no information on that site whatsoever and it took awhile for Julius to give the correct site. I kept googling what he told me and came up empty handed. After a bit I asked to speak with the manager Johnathan and he wasn't as kind or willing to give information and eventually hung up on me. SCAM!!!!!! By reading the posts above it sounds like they go by various company names etc. All leading to the same address in Woodbridge though!!! Don't fall for it!- Caller: Premium Buyers Direct
- Call type: Telemarketer
- buyers direct is out thereI got a call last night from 647-889-5511 who turned out to be Buyers Direct Club. Like other stories I filled out a ballet at a waterfront festival in cobourg last July--one of many ballots as we all like to win stuff! It's fishy that they're only getting back to me now. I gave them some info but it wasn't anything that they didn't have already..which was my address. I got some of the info from them and took time today to research them. Thanks for the posts everyone because clearly this company is not legit-sorry for those who actually went out there but it's good to have that feedback from people who have actually been there. You saved me a costly trip up there and an angry partner. I also now realize that they are the people who have been calling and not leaving messages when they get my machine. Thanks again everyone for saving me the time!
