- Sam replies to Betty| 1 replyI got the same call again from Alan Robert, Ontario Source Incorporation with the ticket number R1574 that I filled out 6 months ago in the shopping mall. His boss is Alex Laslta. He claimed that I can call Alan back tomorrow at 905-754-5163 x23 or Alex x110 to get the confirmation number or He is going to call me back again tomorrow to give it to me. They somehow managed to get your last name and phone number. In order to claim the 1 out of 5 gifts, I have to go 6175 Hwy 7, Unit 6, Woodbridge. The ridicious thing is I hung up them 2 times and he still called back the 3rd time. The call display showed the number was 905-552-2514.
Thanks for posting the info. - hatescammers replies to SamI usually don't post on websites, however I am so mad. This is my first time posting on any forums or websites.
I just got a call today too. i spoke to a lady who then transfered the call to her manager Paul Stevens who had a strong indian accent. He gave me a gift claim number and wanted me to make an appointment to go claim the prize. I told him that I wanted to pick up my gift on a weekend because I didn't have to work, he said that I had to go tomorrow. For some reason he wouldn't allow me to pick up it up on the weekend, weird!!
I did fill out some ballot 1 year ago at canadian tires and that is the reason I thought it wasn't a scam. However after googling his phone number, I found this website which now I know for sure it is a SCAM!
If it is too good to be true, it probably is!
His phone number is 905-754-5163
6175 Highway 7 unit 6
He explained to me that it would be a presentation and that it would take about 60-90 minutes. I asked him a few times if I had to buy anything and if this was a sales call. He told me NO. He also asked if I was single and if I would be bringing my boyfriend or spouse. This has nothing to do with the prize.
He also asked what nationality I was from, none of this damn business!
I almost fell for this scam! Luckily I found this website and I don't have to waste my time for nothing!
Thank you for everyone who posted! - DebI got a similar call from 905-254-2494 telling me to go to 6175 Highway 7 in Woodbridge to collect 1 of 5 prizes from a ballot I didn't remember filling out. Said it would take 60 to 90 minutes to collect my prize but wouldn't tell me why it would take that long. Said I had to bring my husband and I couldn't bring my kids. I suspected it was a scam, and then found these posts. Needless to say I will not be going tomorrow.

- kjjk replies to weirdDid you go? What happened?
- Retired and Tired of Scams replies to shane paulI can't believe this is a true and legit posting.
Try reading the others for a true picture - kasey replies to JQMMThanks for the posting JQMM and all the rest of you. On Nov. 9th, 2010 I fell into the exact same call received scenario as JQMM. Exactly the same pitch and address...although their phone numbers differ.I think they keep changing phone origins. Anyway...after Google "Ontario Source" and reading the posts regarding this company I will not be partaking in their scam. Thanks to all for these posts.
- av replies to JQMMJust received the same call. Was debating whether or not to go but am so glad I checked it out first online. Thanks for putting your experience up for other would-be suckers like me to see. You have saved me a long trip and a lot of anger and frustration. I still can't believe I was almost sucked in!!
- SoranaSame story here. The guy who called said his name was Mark Simmons with a heavy Indian accent, and I could hardly understand him, but I guess it was Apu from the Simpsons' family.
I told him that I had a feeling about a SCAM, and the guy was trying to convince me not, what a waste of time for him, I not going to either buy something or pick up any prize from them, there is no free lunch in this country.
Now they changed their name to Premium Incorporation, same location in Woodbridge. - AlisonI just received this call too but the guy claimed to be from the brick. The # on the caller Id was 905-254-0953. (I tried to phone it back but it said not in service.) I reported it to the RCMP phone busters. 1-888-495-8501. the rcmp phone busters told me it was for a time share. I was also told to go to 6175 highway 7 unit 6. I tried to phone the brick office but was told they do not have any store at this location. that's when I phoned the police who then referred me to phone busters. its a scam.

- SoranaThere is only one guy or max. 2 who call under different English names from this BIG SCAM so called Premium Inc., I do not understand why are they trying to hide their origin, there is nothing wrong with being an Indian. Thats very stupid! Fitrst big mistake. Another one is the same guy posting positive comments here, when anybody is blaming them..... Ha ha

- Alison replies to JohnHi,
Call RCMP phone busters to report this scam. 1-888-495-8501 - scHaha, I got this call today and almost got roped in. I told them I was 20 and they said as long as I brought a partner who was 28+ I could redeem my prize. I immediately went through my phone looking for someone who was 28+, found someone, gave them the name, and then they said "They're your common law, right?", as if they were giving me the answers, and then they proceeded to say "You don't even have to bring the papers."
This is when I started to think it was BS.
I got transferred to a Steve Carner or something along those lines, it seemed like a heavy Asian accent, so I started asking him where his company was based out of because he said they were new to Canada. He said they were from the States, as I gave him one of the two choices that come up when you Google Premium Inc. (The business name he gave me).
We then went through the other steps for claiming the prize (My redeem code was SZH110), I also lied and said I made 61k a year (I'm a student) and then we finished the phone call.
After the call I called up their US branch. They answered with "Hello", not even a machine directing to English or French (or Spanish in USA's case) and all the signs of a legit company. I asked them about their Canadian expansions, and they had no answers. So yeah I hung up.
Then I came across this website, and confirmed that it definitely was a scam. I called them back up, asked them if they'd ever heard of phone busters or whocallsme.com. "Steve" responded all confused and then I just blew up on him and then hung up.
This just keeps reminding me of that South Park episode where they go to Denver and the parents get roped into a timeshare seminar, while the Stan has to race some [***] down a mountain and they make a montage.
Yeah but anyways

- Cheryl| 1 replyReceived a 2-stage call
1st stage: Lady (with poor english) called (from long distance), told me her call center is in Mississauga. She told me I won one of 5 prizes as listed above (from: Frank- June 25 2010), says I signed a ballot back in March in a store or grocery store (I explicitly did not). I asked her if the prize requires me sitting through a 60-90 min presentation, and she said 'no', just come in with your spouse and you will pick up 1 of the 5 prizes. Tells me she will transfer me to her manager. I wait on the line, I ask about his company, assures me it's not a 'vacation property/vacation 'scam' ', just a place where they do home reno's, buy jewelry,...and are looking for 'word of mouth' free advertising from those that visit their location & pick up their prize. Then I ask about how long I need to be there while they tell me about their business...that's the clincher---he said 60-90 min with spouse. I told him spouse is unable to come at all! He told me he'd do me a favour, and I could bring a friend with me, or even another couple. The 'red flags' were waving all over the place...and I'd wasted enough of my time. I asked for his name...he said ' William Lee' and told me I could call when I could arrange to come 905-963-0139 extension 828. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! I called him back, and he urged me not to place anything on 'this page', and that he did inform me about his business being about home renos, jewelry, furniture, and vacations. But the emphasis was on the 1st 3 items. So, in essence, he mentioned the word 'vacations' at the end, but told me the presentation that precluded the gift/prize was about his company and when asked about whether presentation was about vacation he responded 'no'. Call it like it is....SCAMMERS!!!!!!! Buyers beware, no prize is 'free', unless it is from, maybe non-profit organizations like "Princess Margaret Hospital", "Hospital For Sick Children" foundations where you buy a raffle ticket enabling you to win a prize (those are valid and also worthwhile organizations).- Caller: Premiums Grant Co.
- Cheryl replies to CherylIn addition, go onto Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre on the internet, make sure you've registered on the 'do not call' registry for telemarketers, and if you have registered for at least 30 days and received a telemarketer call, then you can go onto the site and lay a complaint. Make sure you record the date/time of the call, and contact name/manager you spoke with. If you don't have internet, then you wouldn't be on this site, but they have a phone number : 1-888-495-8501, and you can send your formal complaint through that method. So, don't just stop here! Take the extra effort to stop these 'scammers'.
- May replies to LenaI don't enter contests for this reason, but I do remember entering one back in the summer and I cannot remember the business, although this outfit Ontario Source International said I entered one in a grocery store (!) I think it might be effective to start registering vocal and written and electronic complaints with real businesses that allow these outfits to manage contests for them. After all, they got my data somehow and it had to be that contest as I 'altered' some of my personal data for it and he read it back to verify my personal data!!!! I mean, in essence, I did not contact this Ontario Source International and enter a contest with them.
