I called the 800 number below and got Time Life Subscription service--and they asked me for my ZIP Code!  I guess they changed their strategy....

I got a call from a very rude older lady. She was very rude to me. When I asked who was calling she hung up and said she would call back later. When I called her back I got some recorded message saying you have reached a news paper telemarketer firm. WISH i could call that lady and give her a piece of my mind!!

call 1-888-682-0070 and press 1, your 10 digit phone number and they are to remove you from the call list withing 7 days if not then report them to the "do not call list"

Called 5+ times in last week. Alberta. Never leave messages. Time to program this number as do not answer into my phone system.

Got 2 calls in ottawa from this number dec. 6 and 11.Nobody on other end of line.

They have been calling me every Tuesday at 10 minutes to noon. Luckily I am out then. I have never talked to anyone and they don't leave a message....The caller ID Says "Unknown Name". I am supposed to be on the do not call list so I can only assume it is a newspaper company or a scam. I would suggest not giving them any information if they call you. If they want you to make a subscription and you agree, I would look up the number for the paper you want to subscribe to and call them directly. This seems like a scam.

called toll free: 1-866-830-9474 and asked to be removed from their call list. surprisingly very courteous & prompt action.

I just got a new number and in 24 hours had a call from a telemarketer and I paid to have my number private.

I have received several calls from this company for the last week.  They call at least once a day, every days.  Half of the calls the system hangs up as I say "hello" and the other half where I get an operator I asked to be removed and they hang out on me before I'm finished.  It's a telemarketing trick where they use the "the phone line cut them off and I didn't heard their request".  It's rude and not legal.

 I have contacted Bell Canada with a formal complaint that they are using fake phone numbers to hide their identity.  I have also contacted the company via email and requested that they remove my phone number immediately and if I hear from them again I will be in touch with the "do not call" registry, my laywer and will be filing for a harassment suit.

 They are legally doing business if they refuse to remove you from their list.  If you are a part of the do not call registry and you have asked them to remove you, then they are required by law to take you off their list and never call again.  If they do not follow your request you have the right to file a harassment lawsuit.

 Don't let these low-life make your life hell.  When we are at home no one should be allowed to cold call.  I can't believe the government won't put a stop to it completely.  The only business calls that anyone should receive at home are personal direct issues involving your banking, insurance or medical.

This is the third time in three days that we have had this caller.  The first was to our Smart-Ring Fax machine, the second to our residential phone and just now to my cellular phone.  The number can not be dialed back, nor is there anyone there when we pick up.  All three phone numbers were put on the "Do Not Call" the very first day, are unlisted in the phone book and through the operator and we don't give out the cell and residential numbers except for medical, family and school.  The fax machine is for my daughter's cyber school and has not been used for anything else.  As this rash of calls occur every couple of months, I can only assume that the telemarketer has again purchased the DNC list and is rapidly making their way through.
It seems pointless for the government to 'advertise' how wonderful our lives will be without all these callers when they turn around and sell them the bloody list for $50!!!  Talk about giving the proverbial 'keys to the city' to thieves.

This is a telemarketing call from Globe and Mail for a subscription. I received one tonight 1/24/2011 in BC

Received call at 11.07am MST. Ignored it. No message.

I just got a call on Jan 27 8:16PM @Toronto, Ontario...Picked up, and look for my parents (who don't even live in Canada....) @________@
