This number was on my caller ID on 04/10/2008.  They did not leave a message.  This is not somebody I know.

I live in Fairbanks and have gotten this call four times. I finally put them on my Selective Call block. I too am on the Do Not Call Registry. I tried to file a complaint too but the area code wouldn't go through. I have never received so many strange phone calls from so many strange numbers until I moved to Alaska!

These people are telemarketers from Cambridge, Ontario.  I had previously added my name to the Canadian do not call list, but I guess they don't play by the rules.

This 1-416-947-0000 number keeps phoning, but like everyone else is reporting, no one seems to be there when I answer the phone and no one answers when phoning this number to ask them to stop calling my number.  Obviously the Canadian phone companies are not concerned with this phantom
phoner, and I too seriously doubt that it's the New Zealand Counsulate making these calls, although that is who is listed as one of the owners of this number.  

Hey Bell Canada...get off your [***] and punish this customer for harassing U.S. phone numbers!

I keep getting calls from 1-416-947-0000.  No one is there when I answer and I can't call the number back.  I see all the other posts are 3 months old is this still happening to people?

Get 2 calls a day with no id and no answer when I call back

Same as most posting I have been receiving multiple calls daily; annoying and doesn't matter if you try and call back as it rings and rings until it says no one is responding. Today on a Sunday it was before 8am and sometimes it's after 9pm. It's disruptive whether you are home or your pets are as mine freak out at the constant phone calls. I don't pick it up anymore if I see that number but try and recall it repeatedly and you just get it to ring until a message says no one is responding.
Does anyone know of any AK state intervention in place for these calls? I'm on the "do not call" list as well for telemarketers. Guess I'll pay monthly to block it as it's so irritating.

Getting the calls too.  Not as often as some of y'all, but still do on occasion.  Am getting similar phone calls from other numbers that begin with 866 and 801 so could be the same organization.

I get calls from this number all the time, most of the time my husband and I are at work. But I get calls on saturday morning...no one there. I even tried calling it back and it rang and rang and rang, which makes me even more angry. if this number comes up and someone is talking about the alaska state troopers (which ive had that call before) im most positive its a scam. i work for the troopers. i wonder if they hearing it ringing when you call it back....i bet thats annoying, now they know how it feels.

WELL i have been getting these calls too. i like in fairbanks alaska. I get them in the middle of the night and during the day. it is becomming very annoying. this is a waste of not only my time but my familys time too. My boyfriend gets them to at his house and it it driving his mom NUTS! I wonder if it is one or those phone scams that start charging you when you pick up the phone and are connected to them.

Yeah, I have been getting these calls about everyday or every couple days.  No one ever answers.  I'm in Anchorage and unemployed so I answer it every time thinking that it may be for a potential job interview.  It's May mow and I see all these older reports were from like Dec. and Jan.  We are signed up with the National "Do Not Call" list, but still this one keeps getting through.

Just got a call from this number and no one there

I keep getting calls from this number and it comes up unknown name and unknown caller.
I don't answer and they don't leave a message.
It rings twice then they hang up.

Several times a day now, never anyone there.

I have recieved numerous calls from this number in the past months.  I just recieved another, and I'm sick of it.  I am in Alaska and also have ACS.  They do, here on the peninsula have selective number block and I've now blocked that number.  I called the customer service # found on www.bell.ca website.  The lady said she'd never heard any complaints about it before...blah!  I blocked the number, and hope it works.

Just started receiving calls from this no.  Three today, no message, and no one there.  I am in Anchorage, and have GCI.

I keep getting these calls as well.  They hang up when I answer.  I called back and it just kept ringing on the other end.

Good Lord can I get any peace?  These people call EVERYDAY 3-6 times per day, and have been doing it for well over 8-12 months now. I have gone as far as to give the sob story that I DIED and to please stop calling this number any more.  Still 2 days later they call.  I have been home all 3 days this weekend and they have been calling everyday, more than once.  I picked up and just said quit calling this number, they called right back. JERKS.  I will be writing a letter to Bell.  I wonder if there is an attorney that could advise a class action suit for HarrASSment!!!  They always want your money for so charity and if you decline they just hang up on you.  Real nice people someone hired to take our money or a charity.  I will never donate over the phone.

PEACE is all were asking for!!  I pay for my phone and I should have the right to who calls me!!
