I just received another call from this number with no one answering my Hello.  On Saturday they called at 6am.....

I live in Palmer AK.  I have been getting the calls daily and they hang up too.  Yesterday I actually got someone to talk.  They said they were collecting donations for "Alaska Troopers". They guy new my name.  I asked what state they were calling from and he said Michigan.  I told him about the annoying phone calls and told him to take me off his list. The dipsh#t then said that we have special programs for people in my situation. After ripping into him and telling him to take me off his list then hanging up, I got another call from them today.  The phone company isn't doing crap.  They sold us an option to block calls and we tried to block this number but so far it isn't working.  This is getting to be total B.S.

Jacka$$es call at least twice everyday. I ignore it, but I'm gonna answer next time and rip them a new one.

I feel your pain, but you probably can't report these calls to the United States FCC for United States do not call list violations anyway, because it's a Canadian area code.

Just got this number call and some guy said he was from some veterans social organization. Tried calling back, busy.

Calls occasionally, usually no one on the line if I answer.  Just another telemarketer.

I had a call on my caller ID yesterday with no message left. They called again at 8:20 AM today. The man said they were updating my yellow page information. When I asked what company he was with, he said Qwest & Dex.
I told him they were two different companies and he hung up.
I called the number back and received a message stating this number can to receive incoming calls.
This is the second phone number of this type I have received in the past ten days. The other number had a similar lingo, but had my address and fax number too.
Are we going to be inidated with these type of calls? Frightening!
I have reported both numbers to the FCC on the online complaint form.
I am on the nationaol and my states Do Not Call list.
Any other suggestions?????

You know, this has been going on for over a year with me and I've come up with a new tactic, rather than telling them to stop calling, or hanging up on them, contacting the FCC (They won't do anything because it's a charity) and so on.  Now when they call, I do one of a few things, I either start moaning, talking crazy, or screeching/screaming at the top of my lungs.  They hang up on me, and they still call, but at least now I get a little satisfaction out of their calls.

Calls 1-2 times a day.  They never say anything, hang-up after empty space.  Are they trying to tap into my long distance lines?  I haven't had any unusal calls listed and have been keeping track since the calls started about 6 months ago.  I happened to answer on the first ring and a guy was on the line asking for my deceased husband, he hung up right away when I asked what the call was concerning.

I just got it too - I didn't pick up, and they hung up.

Have dealt with this yayhoo before, but today he actually answered after I picked up and said "Are you going to answer this time or not?" He asked for the owner of our business. He hung up in the middle of me asking why he keeps calling. Trying to call the number back gets nothing, as the phone number he is calling from does not receive incoming calls. I am wondering how this harassment is legal?

this number calls incessantly!!!!  I want it to stop.  Half the time no one responds and then when they do, they lie about where they are calling from and can't even give the number from which they are calling

This has now been going on for years.  Neither the US or CDN aothorities seem able to act.  

2 suggestions.  Since the phone comes back the the New Zealand Embassy, complain to them.  They would have enough clout to force the CDNs to do something just to get us off their backs.

Secound, if you are Alaskan, e-mail your congressional deligation.  This is a result of a flaw in both the US & CDN consumer protection acts, we can't block them and they can't block us.  There seem to be enought of us to get a response.

I have had several calls from"Allied Interste" at 502-565-1198.  They always put me on hold.  Today when a rep came on the line, I told him to take me off his list-he hung up on me.  I called the number back and told him to take me off his list, and he hung up on me again.  I called again, and told him not to hang up on me, take me off his list, and if he ever called my house again, I was going to call his company and bug the piss out of him too, on a daily basis.  5 minutes later, the phone rang and it was this 416-947-0000.  Hmmm.

I too live in AK and I also get many calls from these [***]. Twice they've claimed to be the AK State Troopers asking for donated money. I told them I didn't have any and to quit calling. They called back in an hour and asked my mom for money. Now they just call and hang up all the time. I wish they'd stay on the phone long enough for me to really tell them how I feel.

They call let ring 3 time and hang up almost every day.
I called back with my number blocked said
this caller doesn't accept blocked calls.
