I am in Ak, and just the past week i have been receiving phone calls from this number, at least twice a day, with no one there when i answer.  Well this morning they called right at 8 am, and of course there was no one there.  I got a second call about 2 hours later and someone was actually on the other end of the line.  She said that they were looking for someone named andy, of course i told them there was no one here and that they should stop calling since no one is ever on the line when i pick up.  She apologized and said she was going to take me off their list, but first asked if i would donate $15-20 for breast cancer research.

calls in the middle of the night never answer. dead air. called back from pay phone finnaly got answer wanted donation for police fund, told them i would gladly donate if they gave me an address where i could send money (check) because i did not have credit cards.  guess what?  click! dead air.  i am retired, if i get an address guess i'll just get on my scooter and make a trip.  introduce some one to my louisville bat.  might be fun, i need a vacation, got all the time i need and some money too.  might even take misters colt, ruger or smith & wesson got places on my bike where only x-ray would detect one of them.  might even make this a business, rid the world of unwanted [***] u know. so keep calling i'll find you. 416-947-000

They call and hang up after the second ring, right before my answering machine picks up.

i keep getting calls but no one says anything.  It's driving me crazy!

Just got a call in Anchorage.

Keep getting calls again from this number.  What can you do to stop this.  Isn't this harrasment?  What or who is doing this?

I get calls from this number often!!  Yesterday 2 times, today so far they've called once.  In the past, it was a solicitor for Alaska State Troopers.  I think it's a scam and will not answer anymore.

I just got a call from these people, and no one was there...kind of spooky

These bozos have been calling on an almost daily basis.  I always ignore unidentified callers, but decided to pick up this once to tell them to stop calling, but I got dead air.

One tip that people may find useful is to record the disconnected phone number tones at the beginning of your answering machine message.  This way the automated dialing system that calls will (hopefully) be fooled into thinking your number has been disconnected and then remove the number from the database.

In the same boat where getting calls from 416-947-0000 and either nobody will speak or today a female asked for my wife and before telling them that she was not home, I asked who was calling and she gave a first name only. I asked who she was with and she stated a charity. I told her that we keep getting calls each day and to stop calling. She told me that she has not called before, so I yelled at her that we keep getting calls from the umber she is calling from each day and to take our number off their list........we will see!!!

Got a call from this number 8/17/2008 2:46PM. Said some trooper fund in Alaska and that they would love to get a donation. They knew my full name!

This number calls at least three times a day.  No one responds

just got a call from this number and no one was there.  why they are calling me is beyond me.  i just want them to go away and stop bothering me.

I get calls from this number nearly daily as well, and they always hang up.  Why bother to call if you're going to hang up?

I keep getting these calls as well. According to the dates on this site it has been sometime since anyone has complained. If it is in fact the state troopers calling for donations or what have you then you have to ask them to please take you off the call list. I was told by them that you have to ask to be removed from the list. I have done that a few times yet continue to get the calls. Also, they told me they do not have to follow the do not call list they are excluded from that list since they are not considered telemarketers.

I'm in Kenai Alaska and have been getting calls from this number.

I'm getting calls from this number as well.  Usually when the Troopers call it shows up on caller id as FOAST.  Sure way to tell if it is the Troopers.

get a call almost every morning from this # around 8:30 a.m.  no message, or sound when answered.  (wasilla alaska)
