All Im saying is how are you suppose to know who is calling if they don't leave their company name.  i got a phone call today. All the guy said was my name, his phone number and extention and his name Mr King.  To me that can be a telemarketer.  If you want someone to call you back than you need to leave info on what it is regarding.  

I never answer the phone if I don't know who it is. I figure if its important they will leave a message.

This company called for my dad saying that my sister is in great danger and that he needs to speak with my parents right away and then turns out it was a collection agency and he told me he wants my name right now and i had to give it to him or im violation federal law...little did he know my sis works for a collection agency and i know the laws and he said hes gunna tell my parents how bad i am

They have called my phone number on many occasions but I do not answer calls from unknown numbers. From what I have gathered by researching the number, they are a creditor company.

I have never received anything by mail from this company and from what I understand now about debt, (thanks to Dave Ramsey) I will not enter into any verbal negotiation or correspondence with debt collectors as " their word" means nothing in today's society. Until I receive a formal letter, I do not owe them my time to waste over a phone call.

I just got a call from this number.  I called them  back, and they are a collection agency.  They're trying to collect a debt I didn't even know I had--a medical bill.  The guy I talked to was VERY nasty.  I tried to be nice, but he was an absolute jerk.  Be prepared for a nasty experience!!!!

Actually, everyone IS protected from the rude and unkind behavior that companies like this use to try to collect their debts.  Its called harassment once it reaches a certain point, and if they do reach that point, there is a possibility of fines and jail time along with the person that may or may not owe the debt not having to pay a penny because of the problems caused by the company.  Check into your laws before you state that people dont have the RIGHT to be protected from this type of behavior.

I've gotten calls from this number but like any number I don't recognize, I don't answer the phone. Anyone who calls me has tre choice to leave a message on my voice mail service. They never leave a message. I assume if they can't bother leaving me a message then it wasn't that important. I have insurance. My son is covered by that and the state. If I have any bills I'm working with my insurance still to pay, then they shouldn't need to be in contact with me. That is my stance. and no way in hell am I calling an 800 or 866 number on a recorded message saying "this is an important message for (name) call usa back at (random 800/866 number)"

Not sure what agency you used to work for, but that's not how most of them work.  Way too many of them I talk nicely and unless the only words I use are "to whom do I write the check, for how much and where do I mail it", I'll get yelled at, threatened or even cursed out.   They'll make harassing calls multiple times of day and often even fail to mail a bill.

They specialize in Healthcare debt collections.

This collection agency keeps calling me for someone whom I have never heard of. I've asked them not to call, and they say they won't, but they keep calling! HOW CAN I MAKE THEM STOP?

You obviously work for a Collection Agency. Collection Agencies make mistakes all of the time - the difference when this happens is they treat the person they are calling with disrespect and make a bunch of  threats.  Just because a business gives them a phone number, it doesn't mean that number hasn't been changed a couple of times and instead of accepting it, they treat the person on the phone horribly.
If Collecters gave an ounce of respect when calling they would get it back, but because they are deceitful, disrespectful and paterinizing, they deserve the attitude they receive.  At Bank of America, our collection department was taught that if they can't be respectful to they people they are calling, then they should be surprised when they are treated with disdain.

Seriously? How is it that you are posting here if you haven't received a call from these people? Maybe you had trouble paying a bill sometime in your lifetime? Most of us are doing the best we can. I lost my management job 10 months ago, to down sizing. I sold my house rather than go into foreclosure at a loss. I can't afford the cobra payment of $520. mo. for health insurance. I had a major illness and my doctor bills are through the roof. I could not afford the kind of medical treatment I was use to receiving after being employed for over 30 years and having health insurance, so my recovery was slower than it should have been. There really is substandard care if you don't have insurance. The income I am receiving from unemployment and my pension, which I had to draw early and is reduced, to survive barely covers the basics. I have over 30 resumes out in 6 states at any given time. I can't even get a job at Macy's or McDonald's, or bagging groceries; over educated, over 55, divorced and female. I have applied for Medicare and medicaid, but don't qualify. There are  hundreds of thousand of people in the same situation. I have two sisters in the same situation. One an ex-bank executive, just got a job as a caregiver at $10.00 an hour part-time, the other an executive secretary has not had a permanent job for three years, ( she temps when she can get it) and not for lack of trying.There is no blame placed. We keep at it.There just is not enough income to go around and unfortunately we fall behind or just cannot pay sometimes. We don't complain we just keep trying to improve our situation and people like you who to jump to conclusion and judge us need a wake up call.

Got a call from Ms. Allen today. She is calling our business to reach one of our employees. Hopefully this gets taken care of and we're not dealing with daily calls. I feel for people who get into sticky situations, but I don't have time to take calls about other peoples issues multiple times a day.

This suck collection company call so many times on my cell phone and I hated this scum [***] so I make a forward from my cell phone directly to king county fraud investigator and it worked.  This scum paid fine for how many times I received call from them.

ll work with you we'll work with you. you have two choices $4,000 by the end of the month or $450 a month. what the hell is that?!

This company is crazy..they are trying to collect a debt and it's a couple thousand dollars..I was unemployed and couldn't pay anything towards my medical bills..so then I finally get a job and want to make payments and they say I have to pay it ALL or they will send me to judgement in court. Then they say they do have a payment plan option so I say..Yes I want to do that.. I can pay like 50 to 100 a month and then they ask me my income which is like 1500 amonth and THEN THEY SAY I DO NOT MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO QUALIFY FOR THEIR PAYMENT PLAN!!! WHAT???? I am trying to pay the debt..are they not trying to collect a debt? They insist that it is all or nothing..pay the $2000+ now or in 15 days or less or I will have a judgement against me in court where they can take my bank accounts. This is the most ridiculous thing!!! Total harrassment of someone who wants to pay a debt but can't afford all 2 grand at once...I am speechless!!
