It is a scam. Credit cards are not in the name they say they are.

This is the 2nd mail i receive from this person. And since I do not have a credit card machine I was lucky to not be scamed. Beware !!!!
They pretend to want to make a booking in my B&B.

Got same email for our B&B . Looked dodgy from the start , bad grammar . Will ignore

Our B&B received the same email as everyone else on here. This individuals name was Johnathan Godfred. I had a feeling it was a scam because I had made a mistake with the pricing. Instead of a dollar sign $, it was a 4 and made it where our price was over $400 a night. Even with that he still wanted to pay for the rooms. This is not the first time we have had this issue. The year before it was a different name and email but was the same information. Everyone watch out!

Same email as the rest of the people below, using same phone number but the name of Mrs. LJ Goulding.  Tried calling the number but not a valid phone number.  This is the same scam, they sent emails requesting a 2 week stay in two units, then another email asking to book the units and charge two different  credit cards.  SCAM

This guy, seems to be pretty popular in last few months.

Four rooms needed, 12 days, SPLIT TOTAL  SUM FOR THE BOTH CARDS same name JONATHAN GYEWU.

I too have gotten this many many times it always comes by email with the same phone number which always seems to be the UK and its always a different name that I cant remember them all but todays was Karen Wyatt and  same thing at my hotel wanting a rate for 13 nights 4 rooms total with taxes and then emails you back after you give them the rate to say here are the 2 credit cards to split the payment on and I am going to assume if you follow through they must call back to say reverse the credit cards but will give you probably a prepaid one that is not the original one they gave so they now have a credit of thousands of dollars on that card and probably cash advance off of it or make purchases right away that is the only way I can see that they would be able to make any money.  One of us should make fake receipts send it to them and then see what the end result is.  It's too bad these people are out there and it's too bad there are people out there that are way too gullible.  When this first happened something didnt feel right so we have to fill out information in my computer so I emailed stating I needed complete address, a copy of the drivers license or copy of the passport and also a photocopy of the front and back of the credit card.  I never heard back from that name  and then it would be awhile before I got another one but now it seems it's happening all the time now.  So please let everyone you know that this is NOT LEGIT!

hi jennifer. much appreciate your explanation of how this scam operates. i've been wondering how "they" got the money part of it to work but your analysis makes sense, it only needs a few people to refund the payment to a different card and they've made a tidy little sum ... now i know how!
