Debbie was an unregistered poster back in 2015 and she will probably never read your question, let me see if I can help.
Debbie was reporting a type of credit care scam that usually works by the scammer asking you to charge card, and then ask for a refund.  You can read about the details by doing a google search on "Charge and Refund Scam" or "Chargeback Scam".
The crooks reported in 2015 seemed to keep using the same names, so if you are seeing the same names, address and CC numbers, and you are in the hospitality industry, that should be enough to convince you this is crook you are dealing with.

The other common targeted businesses are: Photographers, Graphic Designers, Florists, Bakers, Massage Therapists and any business that has connection to weddings.

This scammer is still going, received this reply today 28/11/18. No phone number just as copied below.

I have received also e-mail from an allegedly Karen Wyatt, from 2 different remetent e-mail addresses (karenwyatt985@gmail.com) and (karenwyatt001@outlook.com), with the same e-mail format and content.
It really sounds like a scam to me.

This time in Germany, same mail...
unfortunately we are "really and completely fully booked" ;))

I received a call four four rooms 415 nights charges between two cards they sent me the card number expiration couldn't reach them through email did not give phone numbers I guess this is a scam

It should say four rooms 15 nights split the charges between two credit cards in the name of Cook Helen cook the email came from LJ Goulding
