Got a text saying my PayPal was locked
ITS A SCAM!!!!

I've just received a text saying I had a message from an eBay seller with a link to click ( which I didn't) I searched for the seller on eBay and no such person!!

Lol really , your bank would not contact you off a mobile number , I've had the same message saying 195 quid was taken out my account for a payment . Funny thing is I don't use this account anymore so no money goes into the account , these that are saying it's genuine should take a hard look in the mirror trying to scam people is shameful

Also received text from this number. Haven't opened text but claims something was declined for 1999.00 GBP APPLE ONLINE STORE with time and today's date. Would never spend that much on Apple. And a mobile number. Are they serious?

Message from Lloyds apparently saying "Lloyds Bank would like to confirm your request for 1 Money Transfer(s) total £1500.00 Reply Y to ensure processing or N if unrecognised. Thank you". I don't have my account with them so I'm sure it's scam but someone who has account with Lloyds  might take it as a real message. Avoid and ignore.

I got a link to a video because i "live in englang". They could at least make the fucging effort to spell.

Its genuine number, in my case in was Lloyds. Someone tried to make a payment in house of frasier for over £500. Don't ignore it, be safe.

I bank with Lloyds and also got a call from this number..,my card was cloned and someone attempted to make pyt of £104 in India...Lloyds declined the transaction and cancelled my card!

It's a SCAM. These fraudsters flood these websites with comments saying it's genuine.

Banking texts wouldn't originate from a mobile number. It would at the very least come up with 'lloyds'

Then what if the only contact number the bank had was a landline without caller display?

It's NOT a scam!! it's Lloyds fraud service, I called them after receiving text this morning,  then called my bank directly to confirm! If you're unsure then call your bank directly instead of ignoring and taking people's opinions on here as gospel! If I had done that I would have lost £200.

100% real. I got a message from this number but didn't reply as wasn't sure if it was fraud so decided I would ring the bank on my lunch break at work. I then had a phone call from my bank leaving me a message asking to ring them back which I rang my local bank and they confirmed it was real. I rang the fraud team at Halifax and again they confirmed my card had been copied and they had tried to use my card to the total amount of £300

You should never respond to unknown numbers with any details. (Even your name)

If unsure. Ring customer services of the company they are supposedly from. Ensuring that the original call is disconnected properly beforehand! Or call from a different phone to make absolutely sure!

Just received a text from this number claiming it was from eBay and that I had "received an [sic] message from member ***. To view your message go to: [url]."  I'm in Australia and country code +44 is the UK, so definitely just ignored it.
