100% genuine. I had the text at 5:13am today, scared the life out of me! checked this forum and decided to just ring my bank direct. Yes someone was trying to use my card!! Whether you reply to the text or not the bank will still block your card. The text may look dodgy but it still grabs your attention so if in doubt just ring the bank.

I just got a text from Halifax - I didn't reply and just phone the bank directly! They confirmed it was genuine and had blocked 2 unauthorized payments from my account.

Apparently my card was used abroad, I had no pending transactions online. Replied no. Got a call and then was placed on hold.

The caller then asked if I'd received a call or text. I said yes. He then asked for my sort code and account number. I said "No! No you can't!".

No bank will ever call you directly and ask for these details for security reasons. I'll eat my words tomorrow if my bank says otherwise.

i recieced this and thought it was a scam next day my [***] accounts been emptied! Call your bank ASAP

Text from this number claiming to be the bank of Scotland with the 4 numbers at the end of my card number claiming that £81.30 had been taken out of my bank and I was to reply yes or no if it had been me or not.

Text claiming to be parcelforce asked me to reply to one of 4 options so they could call me and confirm payment details. Parcelforce certainly would not need this information so obviously a scam

It's a SCAM! Never ever call your bank using any other number than the one on the BACK OF YOUR CARD. I called my bank after receiving their message and they told me to ignore the messages. SPAM THESE IDIOTS BACK!

I received the message "Lloyds Bank has noticed your debit card ending 3016 was recently used online on 15-11-2015 23:12:00, at Travelodge for £148.00. Please confirm if this transaction was made by you by replying Yes or No."
I called llyods bank this morning and was put through to the fraud department. It turns out someone did try use my card and the lady on the phone said they send the message by text to inform costumers something suspicious happened on their account. Don't ignore this, call your bank if it's part of the llyods banking group eg: llyods, Halifax, Rbs

I got a text too from bank of Scotland saying someone was using PayPal to try take out  £200.08 . Replied no to the text that asked if I was aware of it and got a text saying I would be called back . I called bank myself . It's genuine !!! Cancelled the payment and my card and sending out new one

Hi everyone i received yesterday a text from Halifax with  A message with my last for card number and I used for online payment.and they asked me to confirm yes or no and I didn't answer them next day in the morning someboy call me from this nr.+8453560024and I didn't answer them they left a voicemailexactly the same like my bank and for me it was a bit strange then I goes straight away to the nearest Halifax branch and they did confirm it is a FAKE!!!!!they change my card and the security code!!!!!Happy end!!!!if you have the same problem go straight away to your bank tell them it's not a joke!!!!!

Just rang Halifax, it's genuine.

Got a text saying its o2 and it's time to upgrade and to text when I want a call back, my upgrade is not due another year

I've just had a text saying it was 02 trying to contact me about upgrading my phone !!  Dodgy ! Deleted and blocked !

Had a text message from this number asking me to reply 'yes' or 'no' to a debit card transaction. I called my bank to check and it was a genuine message, someone had cloned my card and used it three times. I would not ignore this text message, and would contact the company it was sent from, which in this case was Lloyds bank.

Had a text asking if I had transferred money on a date and time and showed my last 4 digits from my debit card. Supposed to have done it through world remit money transfe. Asked me to reply Yes or No if it was or was not me. It was not and replied No. Nothing else yet.
