- Caller: ?
- youbadsquishyThis is the reply I got from Wells Fargo when i questioned this call...AFTER calling the 503 number back and being told "Sure, it's ok if you go into a branch to handle it. I know it's weird we have a 503 area code"...DEFINITELY a SCAM.
"Thank you for contacting Wells Fargo. My name is Ashley, and I am happy to assist you.
I understand your concern regarding a suspicious telephone call you received. It was a fraudulent telephone call.
When speaking with an individual claiming to be a Wells Fargo team member, do not give out personal information over the telephone unless you initiated the contact. If the call is not initiated by you, always ask for a call-back number. Before calling the number, use legitimate sources to verify the number you were given including:
- Wellsfargo.com
- 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557)
- Official contact information on your bank statements
- Phone numbers listed on your ATM, Debit Card, or Credit Card"
There ya go...wish we could all get these jerks- Caller: scam
- SherryThey call multiple times per day and don't leave a message. Its extremely frustrating because I am not allowed to answer my cell phone at work. I am only allowed to even have it at my desk because I have some family emergencies going on, so my boss lets me leave it at my desk so I can see the caller ID and if it is my family, I can then step out an call them back. I finally excused myself from my desk to call this number back and when a voice recording picks up, they identify as Wells Fargo Bank. I didn't wait on the line because I had to get back to my desk. I did send an e-mail to Wells Fargo Bank yesterday and told them to quit calling me cell number and gave them an alternate number to call if they really need to reach me, but so far, it has been ignored. I don't know what they want, but I will be reporting them for harrassment if they continue to call my cell phone several times a day and don't even have the courtesy to leave a message. They are using my minutes and making me a nervous wreck, because everytime my phone vibrates, I think it is a medical issue with my elderly mother at home, which is the whole reason I am een allowed to have my phone at my desk!
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- overdrafted503-403-2695 called me twice today and once yesterday. They never leave a message. I DO actually have a Wells Fargo account that is overdrafted, but I'm depositing money soon to cover it, so I'm not going to call them back. If they leave a message, I'll just deal with it at my local branch (in Arizona).
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Debt collector
- MarkI also got a call from them. Here is the really strang part they called several times and when I talked to them they did not know my name but wanted me to give them my names and SS number or my bank accout number.
If they are for real they would know who I am and my information. This sounds like a scam.
Do not talk with these people if they can not prove the have a valid reason to be calling. They should not need you to give them personal information.- Caller: Well Fargo ? or scamer
- CelestThank you for the info. I didn't want to call the number to substantiate that they are calling a real number. I am glad to know they ask fir an account number. Even better reason not to call back. I get 4 - 5 hang up calls a day. They don't even let it ring a full ring happen.
- Voltageme5| 1 replyI called back and had them remove my number.
It is Wells Fargo- Caller: Wells Fargo
- NorcalgalIt is NOT Wells Fargo.
If you get these calls please send an email to Wells Fargo. reportphish@wellsfargo.com
Include the number and what they've said to you, or if no one is speaking, include when and how often they call.
When I called to have them remove my number from the call list they asked for my account number and my SSN. hahahaha. No.- Caller: Scam
- Angry PersonI JUST CALLED TO FIND OUT WHO IT WAS AND IT'S WELLSFARGO
Spoke to an operator who started the call with "can I get your Account # and/or Social Security #? Oh and I also noticed a voice shift from a young white lady who said "thank you for calling..." and then some different lady finished saying "...wellsfargo can I get your account #..." so I was like, wtf??? then asked who was calling and she was like Sir, you called first, what is your first name...I'm like hahaha I knew this wasn't wellsfargo (u know cuz I just looked up the # here). Then she got all jumpy and I just hung up.
I'm going to call Wellsfargo and ask them what's going on...
(CALLING...)
...Ok so I spoke to the operator and I guess all of us who have been reporting it have let them know and they're very well aware of it, but according to the operator there's not much they can do about it, but report it.
SO THIS IS A SCAM!! DON'T GIVE ANYTHING TO THEM- Caller: Wellsfargo
- Angry Person replies to Voltageme5Naa it's not Wellsfargo, they're saying they are but they're not. I've confirmed it. (see my post)
- annoyedI am researching into this number i recieved 6 calls once a day for the past month i'm annoyed but once i have figured it out i will have a lawyer on top of this matter. I am a wells Fargo client they overdrew my account i think to make money for themselves i have this account on my paypal and instead of denying charges and letting it go to my credit card they overdrafted my account 400 dollars i refuse to pay them i even went to the bank and argued they would not budge.
- Jeremy NYes, I am getting the same calls every day now too, same as everyone else on this web site reporting... its automated harassment and I dont even have an account with wells fargo... its something that should be stopped, most likely through legislation... if they would only organize a class action suit against wells fargo for robo calls etc, then everyone on this list could be entitled to file damage claims for harassment, stress and anxiety.
