I Got on a call list because I accidentally answered a call from "unavailable".  It was a sales call about a line of credit. After answering this call, I have received over 40 calls from strange area codes around the country, which I have not answered.  I Got two more calls and answered the call, Irvine Police Department". The caller hung up. Tonight, I got a call from 5122758111 and answered it the same way. They said, sorry, wrong number.  I don't think the 512 call is related to the others because I see a history of calls from 512 on my cell going back several weeks.  Verizon put a fraud alert on my line but suggested that I never answer calls from unidentified callers.  Try answering as FBI or Police.  It worked for me!

seriously, these many complaints about this one number and nobody's tried to track this person down and I'm getting it from San Marco's not from Austin this guy needs to be stopped so many needs to do something about it and I'm not sure who to report him to!!!  It sounds like somebody's trying to pray on young or old people and trying to find out when the Roman not home is it to hurt them or to rob them but this needs to stop

Got 5 phone calls from this # yesterday and 2 today...on a Sunday!!  Not happy is an understatement!!

I have received 2-3 phone calls a day from 512-757-8111. I don't recognize the number and have not answered. They do not leave a voicemail. My phone says they are calling from San Marcos, TX. Anyone know if they are survey or ...?

"Take me off your list please" does not work. They told me they do not have to until we finish the "survey". When I said that I'd keep hanging up they said they'd just keep calling back. They said that the national "Do Not Call" registry does not apply to them because they are not telemarketers. The 4 different people I talked to today were all saying the same thing. I would say that qualifies as inconsiderate and rude!

Harassing phone calls at all hours of the day. Want this to stop.

This is a survey. The person was very polite and courteous. The survey took 20 minutes I was asked IF I wanted to participate, I did not feel pressured into taking part in the survey.

Ignored the call . Glad I found it here.  I hate scam calls!

Tried to tell me that they would stop calling if I answered their few short questions. I said you will not cal me again and I will.not answer any of your questions.

Got several calls from this number, finally answered to see what it was. I have been waiting for a call from a potential employer. The man was unclear with what his purpose of calling was and after I told him to not call me, he said it was a survey about attitudes towards global issues and that the survey would not take long. I told him I was busy and do not want to participate. He proceeded to speak rudely and insisted that he should call back. I told him not to call again. The number has called me several times a day since. Luckily, I can block the number they are calling from on my cellphone.

Got a call from this number on a Sunday claiming to be from the Colorado Department of Transportation wanting to do a survey.  That was interesting  since I can't imagine that they would call on a Sunday afternoon, not to mention that the number was coming from San Marcos, Texas (well, of course is wasn't from Texas since these are all 'spoofed' numbers).  The person (woman) was very pleasant and asked to call later (I was busy at the time).  In looking up this number it is even more evident that this is yet another of a long list of predatory, annoying robocalls!  These have become the cockroaches of the airways, yes!!

They just called again (a day after the first one).  Again, they claimed they were hired from the Department of Transportation to conduct a survey, but is essentially impossible.  Another 'hallmark' of a robo-call is that you can't call the back.  The numbers are either always busy or don't connect at all.  That was true just now when I tried to call back.   I should note that the first call was a woman and the second was a man and neither had any type of foreign accent (which is often the case with these calls since they frequently come from overseas).

Repeated calls to my home today from this number.  Breathy hangups on my answering machine.

I added this number to my auto reject on cell phone. Never leaves a message--if you don't leave a message on my phone you don't get the benefit of a response.  Period.

You know you're not supposed to solicit calls to any number registered with the national do not call list, right? Why the hell are they calling my number then?
