This company should be reported to the CRTC, I've asked to be put on their Do Not Call List and it's been a month, and I'm getting twice the calls now, once in the 8-11am slot and another in the 5-8 slot.  

I get an apology and then sure enough they call again.

I respectfullt disagree with your definitions. Telemarketing is the act of marketing via telephone.  Whether you are doing market research or actually marketing a product is irrelevant.  I am a marketing expert in NY, not just a student.  

To Everyone else:  Do not call them unless you use a toll free number.  Otherwise, you could get stuck with international phone charges.  Additionally, listen to all the prompt options before you press 7.  If you press 7 without listening to the prompts, you could inadvertently accept charges that you do not want.

These idiots called me this morning and hung up when I answered.  My phone is in my name.

Maybe the calls are from the company but a corrupted employee is working for them,lol,They also called me they asked me if I wanted to take an attitude survey No thank you,lol.

they would not stop calling so one day i kept her on the phone for over 30 min to piss her off. I let her talk then i would ask her to repeat cuz i didnt hear well...then she would repeat and i just ignor for a bit then say excuse me and so on lol I wasted her time she never called after that.

Which companies hire you so we know which companies not to do business with?

Their call immediately disconnected when I picked up & our Telezapper beeped.  It makes their auto-dialed machine think your # has been disconnected; then, in theory at least, it will delete you from the database.  You can get one on eBay for about $30.  Just a wee gadget you plug into the extra phone jack.  It does reduce the # of calls from certain types of equipment -- I haven't won a cruise since we got it! :)

Instead of calling my number everyday, leave a message stating your objectives with a call back number. If I don't call you back, then obviously I'm not interested in taking your survey.

These numbskulls are still calling, at 5:27 today.  of course they call when parents are trying to make supper or in many households, those parents are not even home yet. I have one of those panasonic phones and can enter numbers which it will block. This isanother number for that list.

I am on a national "do not call list" and want to know why they are calling my number especially when they do not respond whrn I pick up. Is this one of those crappy little operations where someone is stalking homeowners as to when they are present in their residence? I have no use for them in any event.

Yeah...they are a pain..like the person writing so many messages here to DEFEND themselves ..shows how they are...NO ANS.= buzz off...lol

...theire employee/student is not 'bright' enough to leave a message or even GET the message...lol.....guess that person will stay with that job forever..it's easy dial only!!

Dont call me again

I received three calls from 514-288-0420 and answered twice and no one responded. The area code for this number shows up as somewhere in Quebec. A few months ago I was getting calls from 866-343-0338 & 888-882-3811 - eight calls from each number - one call from 855-2351-5261 - a couple of times I answered it but then I stopped whenever the number came up on my call display.

If you are markert research company then INCLUDE YOUR NAME IN CALLER-ID!  I am sure that you would have a much beter response.  If you don't, you are no better than and just as annoying as the telemarketers and should not be allowed to cold call.  Other research companies include their name and I am happy to participate in their surveys.  To RW and SE, no matter how you try to spin it, OPINION SEARCH it intruding on my privicy when they don't include their name.  If they are afraid that no one will answer the call if their name is displayed, then they are confirming that they are intentionally misrepresenting themselves.  My number has been on the do-not-call list for several years yet I still get calls from them.  Polls are valuable but so is my time and I don't want to waste it guessing who is on the other side of a telephone call.
