I just got a call from this number today... asking for someone name "Yarrow" something or other and wouldn't take that there wasn't someone working here by that name. Insisted that they talk to a manager (gave them a voicemail of someone not here) and they also wanted me to look for them by a social security number.

Constantly calls and leaves no msg.

I have received repeated calls from Performant Recovery, although it is spelled preformant in caller ID.  Twice I've told them that the person they're trying to reach no longer has the number assigned to me or gave them an incorrect number.  I ignored several more calls and finally called the number to register a complaint.  The operator who was supposed to switch me to an agent hung up on me when I told her I was filing a complaint and said she was not authorized to tell me what the company does.  That company can easily check the reverse number look-up to see the phone is registered to me, and I consider its repeated calls a type of harassment.  In checking online, I found that it's a debt collection agency.  The tactics it uses constitute unfair business practices when it repeatedly calls a number which has already been identified as incorrect.  I don't know exactly why the person gets these calls, so I'm using call type unknown, although I think it's debt collection.  

Keep getting calls from this number, but they never leave voicemail. I called them back (blocked of course) and a company by name of "Performance" answers and asks for extension #.

Dealt with these guys once before, kept calling for a debt that was paid nearly two years before that the company I owed even confirmed to me was paid.  Now they are calling again claiming I defaulted on a student loan.  One problem with that, my student loans are handled by nelnet.  I haven't defaulted on them.  Caller can not even tell me where the loan originated from or how much it was for because I refuse to give my social security number (for those who don't know, you do NOT have to provide this by federal law.  It is not meant to serve as a form of identification).

Very rude, so I am simply blocking their number.  Seen several of their employees comment that they are legit, if so why the bad BBB rating?  Why the multiple lost law suits?  Why incorporated out of the country to avoid so many of our laws here?  Scammers and charlatans.

got a call from this number just now saying that a business I owned more than 5 years ago owes my home state almost $50K in back taxes. Wanted to know if I would handle it voluntarily. Told them I would contact my accountant and to call beck next week. My accountant said nOT to give any info, if I owed my state back taxes, the call would have come from here NOT thew west coast

Calls phone.  Doesn't leave message.  When I call back, the company is named Performance.  The call is forwarded to the voicemail of Maria Rose who supposedly is in the office from 9 am-6 pm Pacific Time.  Please stop calling.

A lady called from this number...asked if someone with my same last name lived here...I told her not to call me number again.

Someone called me from this number 2 days in a row on my cellphone and did not leave a message. The 2nd day I called back from my landline  because I thought it might be important or legit. They asked for my account number. I asked who was this, I am returning a call from you. and she said "It's personal we want to make sure we are talking to the right person. Can you give me your social security number please." Excuse me! They did not say who they were or the nature of the call so i hung up. I have receive a call from them this morning  on my cell phoneand just did not answer.

Someone calls from this number often claiming to be someone from an agency needing to comfirm address and work info to send important mail for one of my relatives. When I refuse to confirm any info they insist they just want to be sure it's going to thre right place because it's very important. After reufsing to confirm again explaining they can leave a message, the caller say's they will just have to ciontact them at work and leaves the number 8883356267, and insist I give them my name. At that point I simply tell them have a nice day and end the call. May be a debt collector or telemarketer not sure since they won't divulge what they are calling for, other than they need to confirm address and/or work info.

Got a call from this number. ID said Performant Reco...Asked for my daughter and got a bit huffy when I said she was at work.

And like most debt collectors they are happy to break laws and call people that they think may know the whereabouts of the deadbeat they are looking for... if you have a relative that hasn't paid a bill they may call you looking for them.  I usually just tell them that as far as I know that the person is dead.  Kind of puts them off their game.  And when they ask more I just start asking do they know them to be alive and keep asking question about their last whereabouts or the last time and place they used their credit card etc...
When they call and hang up without a message I call them back at the corporate headquarters and leave a message on their answering machine asking them to call me back at some number like a police station or hospital with a generic name like Mike Cooper that they can spend all day looking for...

You don't have a family member that a debt collector is looking for to be harassed by these law breakers... you just happen to have to be unlucky enough to share the same sir name or one and live in the same zip code... they don't care who they harass, and the more money that is on the line the more awful they can be about it.  I like to just give them lots of bad information and let them figure out for themselves that I am not a helpful source in their investigation... well, that I am only helpful in wasting their time.  Give them the phone number for your local police station or social security office... say the person they are looking for works there.  that should keep them busy for a while.

Harassment from this number

This number just called my cell and work several times.  My admin got me out of meeting saying that someone from corporate was calling, and when I answer, it isn't anyone from my corporate office - and asked if they had the correct name, and social security...they had the right name, but the wrong SS#!!  I explained that this is busy business hours, and I would not be able to take the call, and I hung up.

Hung up on me when I answered.  Defeats the purpose...?

Possibly a collection company - received a call, she did not state her name only that she was on a recorded line asking for my ex-husband of more than 13 years ago. UNbelievable How they would have found me? I have a different name, and at least 10 phone numbers since then *they called my cell, and also live in a completely different state. NOPE I cannot tell you how to find him - havent seen him in more than a decade. Seriously these people, creepy they tracked me down.
