Received call from 1-541-955-7800. Don't say what they calling for just asking for a female name. Never heard of person in my life and they won't say what is for. They just hang up after being questioned and told not to call again. Please call again I beg of you. Purchased a little gift especially for you and other telemarketers, a $25 Airhorn just for you!  So please call again. Won't care AT ALL if your eardrums get damaged!

If its legitimate debt no, but I never had a student loan just the same name of someone who has. I have been harassed for over 5 years. I am always told they will take my number off the list but the list just goes to another debt collector with my number still on it.  Why cant they just do what they say?

I continue to get calls from different numbers.  Two weeks ago it was another company that wouldn't give me any answers but kept asking me for my information.  Today this company same thing can't answer my questions but doesn't have a problem insisting that I answer theirs.

Someone called trying to locate a couple of people with my last name.  She said they had my number in their records.  I said I didn't know them and hung up.  I was curious so I Googled the number and it brought me here. I see I'm not alone!

These people called me at my work number and were asking a bunch of questions about my wife. They told me if I could verify her mailing address and date of birth they could tell me the reason for their call. Said they were calling from Perform IT, when I hung up on them, they then tried to call my cell phone.

This number called and didn't say anything. So I called back and asked for social security number. I asked what it was for and she told me company name is Performance. I let her know I didn't know them and what was this about. She then transfers to Virginia. Got voice mail.

Calling about a student loan in default!

Calling major pharmaceutical company with list of names and being very pushy and rude! I knew it was a telemarketer & scam told them to take us off list. They want your personal information over phone...

This number has called constantly they say that it's about my student loan which I have been paying on to my loan holder. When I told them They said we have taken over your student account. I called my college. They said that my student loan has not changed They are out to to scam you. Please be aware not to give them any info.

They have called several times over the past several months asking to speak with people only saying the first name. They always give only the first name and each time it is a different first name. These people are scammers. Do NOT answer the phone if you see this number or give out any information to these people.

Just received a call from them looking for Tina Young. A Few months ago they were looking for Justin Young. They do not identify themselves, I have asked them not to call me again. A search of the number shows it as: Performant Recovery Incorporated

Unfortunately, I'm sure they haven't noted in their records that MY number no longer belongs to the Youngs and I will be receiving collection calls from the next agency that buys this debt.
