the lady that called refused to tell me what the call was about unless i gave her personal information. Luckily I am not that dumb to fall for this type of scam I really hate crooks

calls my work number regularly - no message, I called back and a recording come on asking to enter a number off a letter I received (none) and if I didn't have that to enter my social!!  BAD BAD ignore these calls!

They kept calling , looking for a friend of mine...I have them on auto reject on my cell... They can call all they want to...doesn't ring on my phone anymore.

I received a call from this number regarding a family member. The lady, Victoria talked so fast, was demanding and extremely rude so I refused to give her information. She was so rude I had to hang up on her.

Just received a call from this place demanding my SS#.  I refused to give it to them, then I questioned why, if they wanted to speak with me, did they go through the main line...if you have business with me, you would have my direct line.

Someone called and asked me to verify personal information which I would not provide. I told her I wanted to know what thd call was about and from whom. She would not tell her. One F you and aND hanging up, she was gone lol.

called rather late in the day in my area, left it ring until the recorder came on, then they hung up.  Couldn't be important -- if they wanted to talk with me they would have left a message!

they are always calling and they called me twice while is was at the same stop sign within 2 min of each other. really i dont answer my phone to numbers i dont know and definatly not while driving. they are the main reason i never have a ringer on my phone. because they are hurrassing me,  besides that they call when i am busy. think they should be charged for making distracting someone while driving. my hubby has answerred their calls and they wouldnt listen to him and demanded to talk to me (not me just a name i use in areas i think are unsafe). he hung up.

received call from 541-955-7800 ID shows as Performant Recovery - asked specifically for relative and I advised was out of the country, she then became very rude.  Same number called again today, asking for a totally different person.  SCAM!!!!! DO NOT ANSWER.

They called and wanted to verify some information. I didn't give them any.

It is a scam! IRS does not make calls to anyone who owes taxes. I  would report them!

This company should be honest enough to say WHY they are calling, not saying they have "personal" business with someone. They don't save any taxpayer one dime! Calling the wrong people, giving false statements. Bennie Madolf and Enron were also in a "legitimate business."

Performant Financial Corp. Student loan.

This number has been calling people asking about me. People I have a tenuous relationship with. Then I received a letter from Performant claiming it was a collection agency for Ascendium. The letter claimed a loan I had that's on forbearance is in default. Which is completely untrue. This is the similar scam/scheme that led to the mortgage foreclosure crisis. Collections on mortgages that were not in default claiming that they were in default or delinquent. And like the mortgage foreclosure scam/schemes those servicers and collectors had incomplete and erroneous files. BTW, I do not have a loan with Ascendium and no relationship with Performant.

Of Course they would and the would legitimately know that. These guys are scavenger debt companies. Don't give them information and don't consult with them.
