573-522-0000 .... Received call today, in morning, SPR, MO. This is not the first time. Again, like all the rest of the posts regarding this number, you only get a busy signal or no answer when calling back. This should be investigated, no matter how legitimate some say that it is. There is NO decent reason not to leave a message or reliable call back number!  Seems much too unprofessional for the STATE of MISSOURI to down right shady. Completely unnecessary and wrong!

Reverse lookup gives JEFFERSON CITY as the point of origin, as a LANDLINE phone, with the service carrier listed as EMBARQ MISSOUR, INC..  Used whitepages.com to find, which took me to peoplefinders.com who ask for money to find out, supposedly, who this number actually belongs to. Anyone wishing to do so, please try and let us know!  Thanks.

I received the same call this morning.  I was on the other line and didn't answer it.  Upon call back it's just busy on the other end.

Received 5 calls on 1/18/2011 from Missouri State 573-522-0000 at 11:15, 11:20, 11:26, 11:34, and 11:41.  Sounds like a FAX line

these calls need to stop looks like the state could and should stop

its the missouri department of revenue.  apparently they call you if they think u owe them taxes

This is a State of Missouri general phone number.  It called my cell phone today with a fax.  I forwarded the fax to my home fax number and was able to see that it was a fax from the State of MO.  The fax should have gone to my office, but someone mistakenly sent it to my cell phone number.

I just got this call twice and I live in Syracuse, NY???? Never even been to Missouri or close to it???? What the hell???

It's from the Missouri Department of Revenue.  They left a message about my state taxes.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone today 8-29-11 at about 9:49 AM  called it back because it is such a weird number, just rang and rang.  Googled the # and it brought me here.

Just recieved a call and they hung p as i answered on the second ring.  I tried to call back and got constant ringing.  I live in Joplin Mo

I just received a call back ( return call) from my State Representative , so this is a central hub number for several state agencies period. I called him via a different number to be clear. Thank me.

I have worked for the State of Missouri for 17 years.  I was called today from this number.  This is probably someone spoofing their I D, using this number through their computer.

If it was a State of Missouri Department, it would actually show a good number and they would leave a message.

This number (573)522-0000 IS a municipal line for the State of Missouri. The number is out of Jefferson City, MO. and is used by several departments. Mostly tho it is used by the Department of Revenue for DMV related calls and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. It is not a fraudulent number it is a number that they use for general outgoing calls to people.

Did you buy an auto lift from superlifts? This could be what the call was about if so
