Have received emails regarding selling our caravan she is now Janet Maxwell aftetafter speaking to another person who was burnt by these scum. Same story working off shore NZOG had a bloke reply as well I didn't transfer anything so please be wary if it sounds too good to be true then it is. Scam Scum. She then says that she's a devoted Christian what a laugh.

Just received a text from Thi Kim saying ready to pay for car advertised on VIVA STREET and can I send price and address to an email address (as65375@gmail.com) from the number +61428465117. This number seems to very popular on here. Can anything be done? Traced or blocked maybe?

I had a call from this mobile number referring to furniture advertised on Gumtree, telling me to answer him on the Alexbennet001@outlook.com.  I did this and had  a reply from  him and he asked some very reasonable questions regarding the furniture to which I again replied.  I then got the telling email (below from him).   When will these scammers stop ?

I told him to go and get a proper job and stop trying to extort money from people.

that is exactly word for word that this [***] sent me but his bank details were Westpac. This jmarkane60@gmail.com person needs to be caught so he can't keep doing this to decent people.
I don't know how they sleep at night.

I had the same email from a peteroliver104@gmail.com. He apparently worked with another person rebecca.barbara@gmail.com, probably the one person having more than 1 addresses.  They offered to buy my Sera.....But I think I caught them out as they made contradictory statements... I have his mobile no. and am taking to the police...

I have had a message from the same number about a ford for sale. Smelt a rat straight off after recieving an email, Scammer saying they are going to use paypal to send funds and send a courier for pickup.

Same story, saw ad on Gumtree, sent an SMS, asking for email and paypal. Hundreds of instances on this caller on the internet.  Used the name Richard Gardiner and email of richgard01@gmail.com .

I received an email to say James Markane would put money into a fake PayPal through Western Union and that I would have to pay the courier $2500 for pick up.  Once the funds show in your account and the car is taken away they transfer the money out of your account straight away.  These people take the car are your left with nothing!  I rang PayPal (the true site) and told me it's fake and not to go any further with the transaction.  IT'S A SCAM!

Got a message from Barbara Leon, +61428465117 about my Bike ad. Had to reply to email: edenmanfred46@outlook.com.

I had the same message today. I think this is from a scammer.

Whoever these people are must have some serious boredom issues.
Same as all the other threads here, they had the exact same message but when I asked them to send a photo of their identification, they could not.
They could only provide their name, address and license number which means nothing to me without photo evidence.

Can't understand what they get from attempting this useless excuse for a scam.

Asking for my details would only let them deposit money, nothing else.

Mic contacted Me same thing on a boat wanted my bank details or pay pal account.didn't send sounded dodgy.

Am selling car on Gum Tree and got a SMS from that number -  from an Alex Bennett saying email him - which I stupidly did - and got this response:

Got a text from this number, trying to buy my ring but tried to be scammed last week with similar style text then email format. Please be aware.

I got a text from this number responding to my car sale ad in gumtree.  Messages from him:

"Sent fromL James. I'm interested in your gumtree car Ad, how much are you willing to sell it.  Get back to me only at jmarkane60Qgmail.com with frim price & condition."

"Thanks for getting back,i'm cool with the price likewise the condition as described on the advert,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kupe project.We do not have access to phone at the momement and that's why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal linked up with my westpac bank account,please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb acct name and number if you have no PayPal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.
