same type scam for me with caravan on ebay new number is 61428465117 and email, kelvinlace2013@hotmail.com called himself james john after some emails he contacted me by phone tried to get me to send money with western union

Have car advert. On Carsguide.com.au. Received txt msg from 61428465117 stating willingness to purchase the car. I replied by email to chris.lowden110@gmail.com as requested in the txt msg. Received replyfrom that email.It was identical to that reported on WhoCallsMe by Shalakof@yahoo.com on 17 Sep 2012. The name Chris Lowden can be added to the scammers list.

Got a message from 61428465117 about a Gumtree ad. Had to email jssbiak7030@outlook.com. They asked for my bank or Paypal details. Looks like a scam, thank goodness for these websites!

Recieved identical messages on GumTree from a person using this name today but with a different number, in regards to a car I'm selling.

This person replied to an advertisement we had on Gumtree turns out he is attempting to scam us.

Just received one from this number re a car sale...

Got exact same Paul datford SMS requesting me to email him as well. Very weird. Be careful on gumtree because of these scammers

I listed a car on gumtree, got an sms 2 hours later from this number, same email address (pauldatford), same scam i guess.

Me too.. Only listed the car on Gumtree only 1 hour ago....
Is there no way of either cancelling the mobile number or tracking him down ?

Same thing happened to my 14 year old son trying to sell his bike on Gumtree. Answer within 2 hours and identical messages from gmail address, without answering our questions properly. I smelt a rat and googled his name and got this website. Thankyou!!!

Got a message from this number regarding my Car for sale on Cars Guide and Gumtree. He went by the name of Michael Sayers and messages were as follows;

I am very disappointed to learn this is a scam and to be honest I don't understand how it is?  He doesn't pay the money?  He doesn't send someone to collect the car?  He sends someone to steal the car?  He frisks your account after you supply your details?  What?  Please explain.

Response to Karen, his next email to us after saying he'd make the deposit was for us to make a deposit into western union account for the courier as he'd apparently payed us for bike & enough to get it sent to Darwin.
We only got this email this morning, the guys nothing but a jerk & I'm under the impression he's in Beijing somewhere, & even tells u to delete your add!!!! Just hope carma gets him, hope you sell your car without any more dramas :)
