Scott Lewis sent me same message about being sailor and wants to buy my car. How do they scam? Do they take money from your account??

Scott got me pregnant. My folks are furious. I had to leave the Northern Territory because of this.

As so many of these reports involve Gmail, I would suggest that anyone receiving a scam email from a Gmail address makes an immediate report to Gmail at https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse?rd=1

New name this week. Crowder or croder lambatt. Same address in Darwin. Tried all the same tricks to buy my sons motorbike.

I just had an email from pitt.ben624 in regards to a car I put up for sale on gumtree this morning.
He says he's working on an oil rig off New Zealand etc, wants my paypal details so he can transfer the money into my account then will organize for someone to pick up the car and send it to Darwin???
Seriously, that was enough for me!

I just got the very same message, word for word. As soon as I posted my ads for sale of my industrial Sewing machines, it was within one hour of posting.
I hope this vile person gats caught soon.

Got exactly the same message today.................

I advertised some furniture on Gumtree 3 days ago and 2 hours later Alex Bennett emailed me from a gmail.com address with the same wording.  Needless to say, offering to ship second-hand furniture did not ring true.  Thankfully, I googled him and realised it was a scam.

I have the same story for trying to sell my boat. The guy has the same name...Paul and I received very similar emails.

got the same today from this address Savigarcia101@gmail.com told him to f off and that he was junkie scum etc etc.  Glad I found this site.
