Guy claimed he was with FIA financial services for Bank of America. He called ME but then proceeded to tell me that he needed to verify it was me and asked me for my birthdate and I gave it to him. He then said yes that's what I have on file which sounded really odd to me and then HE ASKED ME FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! Are you kidding me?! H3ll no I'm not giving out my social security number over the phone!!! Yes it was only my last 4 digits but that's the most important part! The other numbers are easily attainable because they're sequenced by state and year you were born which he had just gotten my birthday from me in the last question. Plus he never said the "this is in an attempt to collect a debt" like they're Federally obligated to if this is why he was calling me (I still have no idea why I got this call) but I was told that a bank will NEVER ask you for your social security number over the phone cuz they already have it and to immediately hang up so that's what I did!

These people have called us and we haven't answered.  We just received a call from our neighbor telling is this same number has called them asking them for information about us.  Highly illegal practice and they will be reported to the FTC by us.  I suggest doing the same thing.

You must work for them! Because who else would call some they don't know a dead beat, you don't know if or why these ppl can't pay their bills, maybe they were laid off, maybe the main provider died so the other is trying to get back to the workforce. You should never judge until you've walked a mile in somebody elses shoes b/c you never know if the next person they call is you.

They can't. They are using old collection tactics.  They think by threats they will collect. They get people upset and get nothing.   They can not garnish your wages.

A lady at this number called yesterday.  She asked to speak to a Mr. ****** , mispronouncing my name, so I suspected a scam.  But I took the call to play along.  She was talking quite fast but I think she said she was from CitiBank and that I was past due on my balance.  Over $1000.  She asked what I was gonna do about it.  Since I have not credit card accounts it was easy for me to give her a few choice words and hang up.

I get calls from this number on a few occasions back to back.  I have answered it but no one is there plus they don't leave a message.  I have read all the comments from other who have received calls from this number, but I don't have any debt that has not been paid nor do I have any that is over due.  All of my accounts/credit card payments are automatic and are up to date.  There is no reason Client Services should be calling me.
