Legally any debt over 4 yrs old can not be collected on & you can not be sued, matter of fact it is illegal for a collector to contact you, if they do it again, keep them on the phone & call the police dept and let the PD listen first hand to their threats! If you make one payment to them, you have now entered into a new contract which you can be sued for if you fail to pay, sad but true, don't be intimidated by bill collectors, and do not enter into new agreements with an old debt!

I just received a call from Cohen, Schwatrz & Associates from Mr. Allen.  Are they even legitimate?

I work for the federal government and just received a call from these people stating that there was a suit against us.  I must have got the same message as skip tracer but when I pressed "0" someone said "Hello" and hung up on me.  Sounds like a real professional law office huh?

Okay if they are a scam..... How do they have all of your information? If they truly wanted to "SCAM" you out of anything they already have enough information on you to do so without going through the trouble of ever speaking to you.... And if you know that they are calling you trying to reach the wrong person how will they ever know that If you never pick up the phone.... It sounds like they are trying to recover assets that were stolen from companies by dead beat customers that don't pay their bills. You all are talking about harassment, well here's a thought what about the companies that were tricked into believing that you would actually pay them for their services.... Here's how you get rid of this company pay your bills and stop acting like your the victim when you know that you are in debt.

This Company is harrassing me non-stop and I have asked them more than once to remove me from their dialer.  The calls continue at my home, work, etc.

I get 2-5 calls, 3-5 days a week.   YES....very rude!!!!  I can easily hit the ignore button.  Too bad these people can't be stopped.

File complaints with the State bar of Georgia (404-527-8700) and the Department of Consumer Protection (404-651-8600) regarding fraudulent representation as a law firm.  They are violating  § 15-19-51 subsection A-8 of the Georgia code if anyone wants to look it up.

These people are  not a law firm.  If you question them about it, they will admit it.

Guess someone is trying to throw people off..... But what i put originally is the actual law  § 15-19-51 subsection A-8.   (a) It shall be unlawful for any person other than a duly licensed attorney at law:  (8) To advertise that either alone or together with, by, or through any person, whether a duly and regularly admitted attorney at law or not, he has, owns, conducts, or maintains an office for the practice of law or for furnishing legal advice, services, or counsel.

Please have these people quit calling my house.

A very rude unprofessional lady called me from this firm and was unable to provide any specific information i was requesting. Now looking them up online I see that they are a scam and have numerous complaints. I will be calling them today to let them know they will be reported. They are on the rip-off report as well.

I have also had many phone calls from this place. They are rude. And can't give any information. They only call me at work. I'm reporting them to BBB TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If u want to give me a better job so i can support my famaly then i would gladly quit!

Just got my second call from this number.  Recording from a Mike with Peter and Simon and Associates... funny it's a different than the others mentioned here.  Clearly a debt collector.

They told me that I have an outstanding BankFirst card. I have never, I told them to stop calling.

They have called me numerous times looking for someone who is not me. Last week they said they would take my number off, but I get another message today. Called the same guy back, a Mr. Walker. He gets all defensive tells me my number is not in there system so its impossible he called me. I asked for a supervisor, got in a yelling match with him because he would not give me a supervisor and he hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor. Same thing my number is not in their system. I'm going to file a complaint with my state attorney general's office. I'm an attorney for the State and even played the lawyer card with these people and it made no difference. I hate it for the people they are trying to collect from because these people are real jerks.

This guy from this company called my job about 10 times back to back in one day, finally my supervisor told him not to call there any more because that was a place of business. He called again a few months later and told the young lady to let me know they were sending someone with a summons and she hung up on him.

I have been pressed with this debt for awhile now and I have read all of these comments. Unlike any other company that has called me, they were not rude and they worked with me.  I have many lawyer friends and they had told me that they would check it out.  They did and the company is Legit.
They helped me not to tank my credit, so for those of you who have many companys calling you, give these people a chance because I think these people are getting this company confussed with all the unfriendly companys that call you every day. Resolving your debt with reasonable people is a big weight off your chest. Take this sound advise.
