I've been getting calls from this number for a couple of months and got another one just now.  I get the recorded message from PMAB, L.L.C., concerning a 'personal business matter.'  They do not ask for anyone by name,  They leave two phone numbers at which to call them back, and they give a reference number for me to use when I call them back.

I have caller ID and do not answer calls from numbers I do not know.  The information in the message is insufficient to warrant my calling them back, since they do not seem to know my name and have not previously tried to contact me by mail.

Furthermore, I don't owe anyone any money that I'm not already reliably paying back, and I've gotten no bills in the mail indicating delinquent payments on anything.

I consider the call bogus, but I think I'll call the credit reporting agencies to see if they know anything about this.

Perhaps if the doctors offices submitted the insurance claim forms correctly and on time they would have gotten paid.
I paid my deductible but when the doctors office screwed up the insurance claim forms and now wants me to pay they can forget it.
So maybe you should look at your own procedures lady before thinking everyone owes and doesnt pay before you start laying the blame on others.

I have not actually spoken to anyone as yet.  Googled the number as it has appeared on my Caller ID at least twice a day for several weeks.  I do not answer unidentified phone calls.  My communications company does provide a service which will block them from coming in.  This is the action which I plan to take.  It would appear from the previous postings that this is a medical billing collection service.  I have Medicare as I am permanently disabled and a secondary insurance.  The coverage, which I pay for, has always taken care of my medical expenses.  When the "Obamacare" nonsense started, I noticed that my medical providers began having a difficult time entering billing codes and such for my procedures.  The codes that they had always used suddenly did not work.  On one occasion codes set up on Monday for a test on the next day were no longer in effect on Tuesday.  There obviously are many upheavals going on in the medical industry. I fall into the grouping that Congress would prefer to die off as a cost cutting measure.  It is as simple as that.  The "Lady" who claims to work in a doctors office above is an excellent example of some of the problems patients must deal with.  She is obviously not very articulate and most likely not well educated.  So when I receive a bill for a CAT scan that is coded for lower GI when it was for my heart and the insurance refuses to pay for it .... and I quite nicely call to say it is a billing/coding error and if they would please just resubmit with the proper coding ... she is most likely the type who would scream at me to JUST PAY THE BILL! instead of doing her job correctly in the first place.R8C7

i hate these calls from computers.  if you don't want to speak to me, don't dial my number.  way to collect money owed; just keep calling.  seriously, anytime you have any procedure done (temp. taken, xray, blood drawn, bandaid applied) at a doctor's office, hospital or lab ask them "how much will this cost me" so you don't get hit with these unexpected charges not covered by insurance.

Next time try not to be so obvious that you are  working for the collection agency. Doctors  and hospitals are thieves just like lawyers.
Also you don't have to pay. You can bankrupt on hospital bills and millions of people have to every year. I love it when they call, I tell them what I think of them and they hang up before I do.

Amen Sue! It surely aggravates me when someone uses these boards for caller ID information and some idiot who can't beat a 5th grade speller tries to post. Argh!

No information available on caller - Caller hangs up when I answer, doesn't leave message when I do not answer. I see from previous posts this may be a medical collection agency, but since I have no outstanding medical bills, it must be a wrong number.

I get so many wrong numbers on my phone.  I've had this number for over 6 years, but I get calls for about 7 other people who either had this number, or just made up a random number to give these people.  I think they said it was PMAB on the message.  It kills me when these places just leave random messages, just assuming they have reached the proper party.

    Called my wife's phone at 13:01Z 16 Aug 2011.

Guy, who was very muffled and had difficulty in understanding, asked for a Carol R.  I told him that the number was not under that name and hadn't been for at least 6 months.  Also asked him to remove the number as a contact for this Carol subject.

Every time they call me I call them back 25 times and wait until they hang up. If everyone else did I bet we could tie up their phone lines enough and make it cost them.

It's a collection agency for medical bills. I had kidney stone surgery about 4 months ago that cost 19,400 bucks!!! From the time I got there until discharged was about 3.5 hours. Actual surgery time...75 mins!!!!! This is so very outrageous!! The insurance company paid all but about $1500.00 of the bill. They can stuff the rest of it!!! Why.....because they overcharge the living hell out of me!!! Why do they do this you ask?? Because every redneck, illegal idiot coming to the ER or hospital for surgery or visits pays NOTHING!!! I have a family member working for the local hospital and the illegals give fake SS numbers and fake names.....they won't speak our language when some really know it and the list goes on and on! Working people like us that have insurance have to pay these super inflated prices at the hospital because of NON PAYING IDIOTS! Well...........sorry I'm not paying the remainder! You can put it on my credit for life and I could care less. I pay CASH for everything now and haven't used my credit for ANYTHING in over 14 years!! My credit worthiness is of no concern! When I brought my wife here from Russia.......we followed all the rules and regulations. She's now a citizen and we're very proud! DEPORT these illegals NOW Mr. President!! 90% of them are here illegally!! Mexico is taking over America without firing a single shot!! It's time to close the doors and concentrate on our own people and stop letting everyone take advantage of our country!!

This is who they are. They refuse to identify themselves on the phone. A computer autodials you and then you are connected to a person.

They have called me four to six times a day for two weeks. Yes, it is for a medical bill - a bill that was paid in full two weeks ago via the online bill pay for the hospital.

They refuse to remove my number, or update their system to reflect that it's paid. The call reps are rude, forceful and don't listen.

Best advice. Block the number and pay the hospital directly. That company shouldn't be in the business of collections. I couldn't imagine a justifiable reason for treating anyone the way they do. Whether you owe money or not, name calling and multiple calls a day is not okay.

If you want to make a formal complaint, and they are calling about a Carolinas Medical Center Bill, send a letter to the following:

    Carolina Physicians Network
    Attn: Kevlin Clyburn
    Customer Service Manager
    PO Box34725
    Charlotte, NC 28234

Yes, we need to pay our bills, but being bullied and called names isn't the way to do it. Carolinas medical Center has such great customer service, but to be treated so badly on the back end really hurts their reputation.  If Kelvin receives enough complaints, they may go with another company for their debt collection. I believe this company shouldn't be in he business of collection, probably not in any business where you have to interact with people.

    Irritated
It would be understandable if you were the actual person (or someone in your household) they were calling for!!! They have been calling my number for two years now because someone falsely gave them my number as their own! I'm sorry, but Mary Ingram does NOT live at my house...never even heard of her. Ugh

Lady, I'm sure you must be a collection agent.  Most people who could afford to pay would; I'm sure.  I tried working out a payment plan with them and told them I would pay a set amount if they would agree not to send it to credit reporting companies.  They agreed, but still sent it to the credit agencies!  They call me constantly; like that's going to make me get more money to send faster!  They are rude idiots with no tact.  If you are a collection agent, you need to go back to school and learn how to write like a professional would.

You all should pay your bills instead of getting upset that someone has to call you about them. These collection agencies do report to all three credit bureaus. Medical collection agencies can't treat you rude! The Drs and Hospitals do listen to those recorded calls so be careful what you say. Ask yourself are you automatically rude to the collector? I'm sure most of you are judging by your responses and replies!! WOW!! Show a little respect and handle your business! If the collector is rude report them but ask yourself were you rude first????? Remember your Drs may have to listen to the recorded conversation!!
