The funniest s*** ever the doctor who has me in collection with these idiots owes me money.  I remodeled this guys house and 2 weeks later a week after i finished i tore something in my knee.  Had the procedure done and never recieved any compensation for the work i performed.  The bill for the surgery is $3700 his bill is $34000. Come on man!!!

No... you get turned over to these crap debt collection agencies even when paying "your bills" so get off your high horse. LADY.  I had a bill.. was making payments each and every month and still got turned over.  The hospital wanted it all paid in full and I refused.  They were getting a payment each month.  I really don't give.. this doesn't go towards my credit.  It's a medical credit. Credit still showing 768.. hasn't done anything to it..

I know there are dead beats out there that just won't pay their bills but I am not one of them.  I had an Upper GI done and after my Insurance paid their part I have been paying every month on my bill that I had arranged with the hospital.  I get a call from 704-553-7146 every day including Saturday and Sunday.  It is just a recording and I have stayed on the phone for a while trying to talk to a real person but never have got one.  I just don't understand why they call people when they are paying every month and there are others out there that NEVER pay a medical bill and NEVER will.  Go after those people and leave the ones alone that are paying!!

This "LADY" can't be a doctor.... She can't spell very well and her grammar needs a little help. Just someone trying to stir up problems. I agree medical bills are over inflated. I have also seen first hand the large amount of waste that happens in hospitals. Pay your bills directly to the company you owe, not the collection agency.

Well maybe you should think about divorced parents. I carry the insurance while my fat-ass lazy ex-wife doesn't even work while she uses my $1,500 a month in child support as her only income. You probably got that fat ass sit on your [***] all day syndrome also. The system is so [***]...that hard working fathers get the shaft. My fat-[***] and lazy ex-wife runs out of doctors that she owes money too for her half of un-covered expenses. So, she ends up going to out of network doctors. Since I carry the insurance, I get stuck with the bills that I didn't authorize. And most of the time I don't even know about the charges till I check my credit report. Your a [***] and you should think about other situations before you go off with that "I work at a Dr's office, take some NyQuil next time you get sick, syndrome." There's a reason why the healthcare system needs an overhaul. That field is full of overpaid [***] that drive cars that cost more than average houses. It's the reason why health care costs are so high. Your overpaid!

I believe in paying doctors.  The only problem is,  What do I Do?  My back breaks in three places, due to cancer weakening the bones. I have chemo treatments for close to a year,  and  I'm suddenly  out of work because I'm not able to work at this point. I never saw cancer coming.  I was in stage 4 before I had any symptoms. I do have health insurance which pays a part of what I owe to the many medical doctors, offices and hospitals that I was sent to.  
I have started back working now,  and I spread out my check and send every dime I make to my doctor bills. I have so many that my payments are not large amounts.  My wife pays all other household bills.  We eat at home and we have gave up any outside activities to  to pinch every penny we have.  You call me everyday.   I cant give you what I do not have.  Our family eats very little to pay you.  We are grateful for your service and for the Lords healing hands.  We sacrifice for you every day to see you get the money we owe.  Its not a payment in full but it is a payment.  What is your answer to me on how to satisfy you and what I owe you.

Some of us are paying the hospital bill  monthly to the hospital and we are getting harassed by a collection agency.  Go pick on the people who are not paying and leave me the hell alone.

You can have the number blocked by your cell carrier

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ!!! I work for a surgeon and i do the billing. I know what the doctor gets and it is not a 1/4 of what the hospital gets. Make sure to get a detailed list of what procedure codes are billed and check them with your insurance. We have had several patients that have been billed for things they didn't get at the hospital or it was billed incorrectly. This could save you some money if you take time to do it. One girl was billed for an injection for peyronies disease which is a curvature of the [***]. One man was billed for a $40,000 device that was not performed. He had only had an out patient procedure. Someone else had gotten these calls and thought that they had paid already but paid it anyway and then his wife paid the hospital the same amount and neither the company nor the hospital will give them their money back. Also, make sure the insurance is in network or they will use that as an excuse to bill you and bill for codes that they didn' t perform but maybe the doctor or radiologist did. In a case like this you are better off to pay the hospital or where ever the collection is coming from and not the collection company. They will have to call the collection agency and have your account removed and they are the ones that sold it to them in the first place.
