You all should pay your bills instead of getting upset that someone has to call you about them. These collection agencies do report to all three credit bureaus. Medical collection agencies can't treat you rude! The Drs and Hospitals do listen to those recorded calls so be careful what you say. Ask yourself are you automatically rude to the collector? I'm sure most of you are judging by your responses and replies!! WOW!! Show a little respect and handle your business! If the collector is rude report them but ask yourself were you rude first????? Remember your Drs may have to listen to the recorded conversation!!

If this is a medical collection agency I'd like to know how they got my Tracphone number that I just got a month ago and I have only shared the number with family.  I don't even put down that I have a cell phone when asked online for anything.

Like previous postings, I do have medical bills I am paying on but have made previous payment arrangements that I am never delinquent on.

Thank goodness for caller ID.  I don't answer any number I don't recognize and this number does not leave messages.

This is not at all true!!! When you get a bill from your medical provider they give you a date to pay it by, the letter clearly states your account will be transferred to an outside collection agency and trust me the providers do go by that exact date. When your account is transferred and you choose to pay the provider it is completely up to the provider to report the payment to the collection agency or they will never know its paid. Also when your account rolls over to collections it is written off with the medical provider, therefore any money paid will post to any current balance you may have had and if no balance your money will be posted as a credit because your Pastdue med bill was written off as bad debt! FYI

"Lady" if you're a doctor, then I'm Elvis. The key to getting people to believe you are what you claim to be is using proper grammar and spelling. Unless you're claiming to be uneducated, then by all means keep doing what you're doing.

Most people who have debt like this don't have the money to pay it, and debt collectors don't take "I, like millions of other people in this economy, am unemployed." for an answer.

It is PMAB which is collections for medical bills.

so when does driving a car for 2 hours cost $2500??? thats what i amsupposed to pay for a shot of demoral and an IV for a kidney stone. good luck with that one. of course, you probably dont have to worry about it considering you (working for a hospital) have low cost insurance and make good money. good for you but us poor people cant afford your mercedes benz payments all the time.

We would pay our bills if an estimate for the charges were provided up front before service.......Would you pay to have your car fixed without an estimate???????? NO way....... Also if the charges were not so crazy we would be more than happy to pay.  I have my own business, Call me when you need some construction work done.  I will do it without an estimate and then charge the F### out of you.

Just received my Consumer Cellular phone and have had a call from 7045537146 every day. How do I get it blocked?

I used to get calls from bill collectors til I bought a device from a company in California which simply blocks any number I program into it. It cost $100 and was WORTH EVERY PENNY! If a call comes from a blocked number the phone rings once to let know it's a blocked number and then answers and immediately hangs up!
If it rings more than once it's somebody that's not blocked and I just answer the phone. Works perfectly, so I don't worry about bill collectors and people I don't want to hear from anymore. The miracle of technology!

Same info as above, this is a collection agency working mostly on medical office bills. I too have paid the office directly and have no debt, but this group is relentless. I put a silence setting on my ring tones on my phone. But I see they call regularly. Hope this helps.   Hal

called saying an important  personal business message from PMAB giving a 1800 8490088 # and said to give reference # B07291. of course im not calling it back

Trust me you guys will call back when the collection agency place this debt on all 3 of your credit reports trust me you guys will pay more attention to the calls! They always state that it is an "attempt" to collect a debt therefore if it is an error (which does occur sometimes), all you have to is let the collections rep know and they can fix it and you can avoid any headaches that may be caused when you are trying to buy your new home or car. Let's be adults and handle business!  Just an FYI

Trust me, I won't be calling them because I don't give a flying f*ck about my credit report. What are you gonna do take my house? Don't own it. Take my car? Don't own one. Garnish my paycheck? Ha! Don't have one of those either. So I guess the overpaid pricks I owe money to can cry me a river build me a bridge and get over it, and the collection agency can continue making minimum wage to listen to my answering machine and me hanging up when their message is too long and interrupts my peace and quiet.

this number calls me several times a day, all hours of the night.

pmab puts this on your credit the second it comes to them. Why should I or anyone else be in a hurry to pay it since it will be there for 7 years any way. If they called and I refused I could see putting it ony credit but if I haven't been contacted for what ever reason putting it on my credit is not honna make me pay it any faster. I mean you screw me I screw you. No commission for you not after screwing my credit score up. You don't care how screwing my credit affects me guess what If I don't pay you pmab, Jon berry, sca, statewide, and all the others you only lose a commission wow you turn it in as a negative and when I pay it it stays a negative and I have been told before by the listed that you don't even have to mark it as paid and that's my problem I have to contact the credit bureaus to fix it so I will take my time in paying you.

They always call in afternoon.They say  its a busness matter to call them back.If you call that number it says they can not accept the call on that line to call a 800 number.

Everything I've read on this site regarding PMAB, LLC Collections, is quite true.

Be advised also (as I believe at least 2 other person has said), PMAB utilizes multiple phone numbers when they call you, including the following:  (704) 553-7146, and (800) 849-0088.

An additional edification note as well.  Under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, if you inform (IN WRITING), PMAB to cease and desist calling you at your home number, they must do so.  MAKE SURE TO SEND THE NOTICE TO THEM VIA CERTIFIED MAIL WITH A RETURN RECEIPT REQUEST!  This ensures they must sign for your letter AND is legal proof of your notification to them.

If they should continue to call you after they have received your cease and desist letter, then you can consult with an attorney regarding bringing a lawsuit against them under the aforementioned Federal Act.  It is a violation of that Act for ANY collection bureau (with very few exceptions), to continue calling you after you've told them in writing not to.

KEEP DETAILED RECORDS of all conversations, correspondence, etc...dates/times/person(s) you spoke to, foul language used, any threats made, etc as well.  (In SOME states, it is also legal to record any phone conversations with debt collectors).  Harassment, obscene language and threats are also illegal. There are pro bono attorneys in most states who will review your information to determine if you do indeed have a well-founded case against PMAB, LLC for violation of the Federal Act I referred to earlier, and if so, may take your case and file suit against PMAB.  

The attorney usually doesn't get paid unless you win your lawsuit - - just be sure to make certain that is true with whatever attorney you consult.  There are quite a few cases of consumers being awarded substantial monetary judgements against collection agencies or other debt collectors who have violated the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  (Just do a Google search).

And yes...I myself am presently dealing with these cretins at PMAB.

(To the poster know as "LADY"):  Keep in mind the old adage, "What goes around, comes around."  YOUR day will come when you will find yourself in the same situation(s) as the numerous posters here.  The ravages of time, disease, and aging are not things to which you are by any means,... immune.

Paying ones bills inst in dispute here,its when these debt collectors call looking for someone else after theyve been told no one by that name is at the number.The worse part is every time I answer the call,they hang up,they should not be bothering a feller whose trying to do his work,so he can keep his bills paid.For the record,I pay my bills.

Just to let people know this is a bill collector that is hired by almost anyone in business that people fail to pay this is one of the most profitable collector working the entire lower forty eight states. A suggestion is to let the call ring for four times then take it off the hook without saying a word. Leave it laying on the table or commode or where ever is handy. Check back in five minutes or when the loud off the hook sounds from the phone company. Now here is what I like to do. I go to any dating service web site and give them this phone number as my own. When I sign up I tell it that I am a thirty nine year stock broker looking for someone to just share time with. or a nineteen year old female looking for a man that can show me a good time 38-28-26 five foot two. Keep their lines tied up for ever, not your line so that has slowed down my calls, worked for me.
